But she was incredibly unprofessional, would bad talk her staff in front of me, would blame them for her forgetting things and then the two big things were 1) she prescribed an ointment for me and when I told her at the next visit I wasn't using it she said "why would you have that medicine?" As if I prescribed it to myself! And 2) she was incredibly hostile toward me when I calmly asked her to clarify a bill that I received and she claimed I was trying to "get a free treatment" I had to calmly say to her "I don't know why you are getting so angry, I am just trying to understand my bill, which is my right" she the later apologized and then proceeded to throw her staff under the bus for misbilling me. Net/net I would not recommend her to anyone , which is a shame because she came highly recommended, but I think things have changed in the last few years.

During our initial consultation, Dr. Locke was able to assess my issues by listening to my description and a minimal exam...and by minimal I mean that he is so good that he knows exactly what to look for just from my description of the pain/feeling. He went over all of the options for treatment, and I told him I wanted surgery, as the others didn't get the to issue and fix the problem. I was really afraid Dr. Locke was going to try to convince me otherwise, but he was totally supportive of the surgery decision. Instead of just telling me I would have to be less active and deal with the pain, he said that the point is to work with patients and their lifestyles to find the best solution, and for me, it was surgery. The podiatrist barely even looked at me before saying "it's a sprain, you'll be fine by Monday." I angrily told him it was NOT a sprain, that I knew my body and something was wrong. That night had me back in ER for excruciating pain. Enter Dr. Friedberg the following week who, after some manipulation of my foot, and some questions concluded that I had a fascia tear that would probably take a few months to heal. Man was I glad I went to Dr. Friedberg! My foot did take a few months to heal, but he was nothing but kind, gentle, and professional through the entire process. He offered tips and tricks on how to regain strength and reduce pain, showed me my MRI images, and explained things in very simple and detailed ways.
