My experience with Tresidio homes was excellent. Everyone I interacted with was responsive, professional and accomplished what was needed and expected. During the construction process, Chance Koyle was assigned as our Project Manager. Chance was always available when I had questions or concerns and he was at the property while it was being built several times each week. He kept us informed of the building progress and milestones, sending us photos and giving us updates. Chance was a great resource for everything we had questions about. Chance gave us suggestions and helped us make decisions that made our home even nicer than we anticipated. Our home was completed a couple of weeks earlier than Tresidio had originally scheduled which is a direct result of their planning, systems and awesome project management. Our home is well built with quality materials and workmanship! I highly recommend Tresidio Homes, and I would have them build a home for me again and ask that Chance Koyle be our Project Manager.

Today our home still has unresolved damage caused by employees and subs, incomplete work, and substandard work. Blue tape and thick overspray are all over our windows today. Our sliding doors are damaged and pulling away from the frames. Our interior doors are warped and will not open and close properly. They used rental grade paint throughout the house. The windows are not installed properly, and some are damaged. The garage floor is not level and the doors do not seal. There is stucco smeared all over the windows. Andy and Caleb are not capable project managers and on more than one occasion made demonstrably false statements. A building inspector was hired and found that plumbing is not installed properly. He found the windows are not installed properly and that the doorframes are not true, which is why the doors will not properly close. Lights are installed in the wrong places and some already are not wired and dont work properly. One light actually fell from the ceiling onto the patio. Fortunately nobody was injured. At no point during the build did they ever organize walk throughs to talk about progress or next steps. When there were change orders, they completed the work and billed us without initially disclosing the cost. I finance home builds for a living. And I have financed several project for Lexar's other locations throughout the Pacific Northwest. This review is not reflective of the job that other locations do. Treasure Valley Lexar is, on its own, a haplessly run organization, and you should not trust them to build your home, or anything else. Andy and Caleb seem like nice guys, but it was apparent to us they were always disorganized and overwhelmed. But I could always be certain of one thing. When a draw payment was due, they were all over us.

Still so much to do, and the way this has gone we'll be lucky to get in by winter! If anything gets damaged, no one takes responsibility for it and won't get fixed! The stories you hear about on the news about bad contractors.. Yeah.. It's this company. Stay away from these guys. You've been warned.

He spent qualify time with us on the phone leading up to our first "scouting" trip, educating us on the different areas and things we should know about Idaho. He even provided an extremely helpful & professional Relocation Guide, along with quality information about different schooling options for our son. As you can imagine, an out of state move during the COVID pandemic is not an easy undertaking, and John made it all possible. When we were looking to buy our home, every house had multiple offers within the first couple days, and John was able to help us secure the home on which we put our first offer! We would later learn how lucky we were when our neighbor let us know his family stayed in a hotel for 3 months, while they put in offers on 37 homes before getting one accepted! We got our first accepted with John's help...and without going over asking price (other than for add-on items). John knows how contracts work, how to negotiate, and how to work with people. We never felt John was trying to "sell" us a home. He was a trusted advisor and guided us with fact-based, non-emotional info. He was personable and took the time to get to know us, including our 6-year old son. Once we entered escrow, John called us every week (Tuesday update calls!) to check in and provide added info. His team was also amazing in helping with any needs along the way, providing a great liaison with the seller's agent to ensure we got all questions answered about the home (measurements for furniture, etc.). And it didn't stop there. Even after closing, John provided us with a list of trusted vendors, as well as ensuring we completed our Homeowner's Exemption info with the county, to save on property taxes. It is very obvious John has spent a lot of time systematizing his business to ensure no stone goes unturned. You'll appreciate John's organization, personal touch, and professionalism. We could go on and on! We can't say enough about John and team...as you can imagine, we highly recommend their services, and actually already have to several friends!

Maybe its the hired trades they work with but we still are working on our punch list. Still don't have the "screen" for our front window..maybe they are having it made in China! And our kitchen sink was scratched but of course it was suggested as if I used an abrasive object...so untrue. Our garage doors still have film residue but we were told it's because of the construction around us! Yeah ok...our kitchen was completed but it's not how I first chose it to look like, but they did a quick fix. The smell in one of our bathrooms was from dead mice, but continued at first to tell me they couldn't smell anything. However, fixed! Our landscaper referred by Highland Homes has been out numerous times to fix stuff but at least he showed up even if it took me 2 months to get him here. Half of the so called "trades" come and go and are not here to fix what they thought they were here for. But besides all of this, my home is coming along and I have to admit I do love it. Just so sad I had to write such a review. I believe all intentions were made to make us happy but being the first phase in this area I believe Highland was not expecting the rush to follow. I am sorry I had to be the guinea pig so the other homes were done right!

We have already purchased a lot just above Lucky Peak. We were looking for a builder that built quality homes but also specialized in building while the homeowner was out of state. It appeared that Highland was a perfect fit. We went to Boise to met with a few builders and after seeing the homes that Highland build and explaining where our lot was and what we wanted to build, we were told that every that we wanted was doable by Nichelle (Sales Agent). Our initial meeting with Nichelle was on a Saturday morning. She said that she would like for us to meet with Mike (the owner of Highland Homes) but he was busy in the morning but would be free in the afternoon. We went to lunch and waited for Nichelle to call us and tell us when and where we would meet Mike. As the afternoon progressed and did not hear from her, we attempted to call her. After two calls and a text that did not get returned, Saturday came to a close and we did not meet Mike or ever here back from Nichelle. It was the weekend and things come up, totally understandable. After the weekend was over and our returned home, Nichelle reached out to us via email. She responded "It was great getting to know you both and hearing your amazing home ideas. :) We would love the opportunity to build for you. I want to get a conference call scheduled for you to talk with Mike Dildine (owner/builder) and Kristin Pugh (Design/pricing) to talk about next steps. Can you give me a day/time that works best? " We immediately began looking at Highland's existing floorplans and within 7 days we sent them back a mocked up floor plan in a software program. We expressed that we are anxious to get going on this quickly because we would like to get the plans completed and the house built. The response from Nishelle was "Thank you so much for that information.... Very Helpful! :) We are excited to work with you and Kristin will jump right into plan design with you. I see you copied her on this email so I am sure she will respond quickly with an available day/time to connect with you." After nine days of hearing nothing from Kristin or Mike, we emailed again to see what the status was. The reply that we got from Kristin was "I appreciate your following up and we appreciate, so much, the interest in our company! The delayed response falls entirely on me. We have been extremely interested in your project off Mores Creek - such a beautiful area - and it's been the topic of conversation everyday within our company. Though it is a difficult decision, we ultimately have to decline at this point. We feel the distance from our current commitments prevent us from taking on a job so far out of the area this year. As we expand our company over the next few years we're hopeful at the opportunity to serve clients outside of just the Treasure Valley. Again, thank you for considering us as a builder and we wish you the absolute best on your future project!" So, it was nice of Kristen to use the Management Technique of the "$hit $andwich". Here you have all three elements of the $hit $andwich: one the flattering or cheerful opening, two the actual news and three the Optimistic conclusion. This has been a huge disappointment for us and waste of our time! We got slow/no responses, there was a lack of follow through (last thing you want to deal with when somebody is building your home), us doing our due diligence, our design time, wasted time on our trip to Boise, etc.

Regina, the agent accepted testing of our homes well and septic that did not meet contract requirements, on our behalf without allowing us to see them. Later we were told that she did not have them. As a result of this we were not able to require new testing which would have shown that 1) the well pump did not work and the water was contaminated. Per Idaho labs the water is not safe to consume for humans or animals. 2) the documents submitted as a septic test was not a test at all. A test was never requested. If testing would have been done it would have showed that the leach lines are failing and the septic MUST be replaced. We later learned that Regina agreed to waive our final walk through of the property per the sellers request. Had we been given this right we also would have seen that the chain link fencing surrounding the pastures ( property was advertised as "fully fenced") was laying on the ground, and was previously only being held up by t-post which the sellers took. The solution to this is really very simple. Our attorney has requested that a claim be filed with Regina and her Broker E&O insurance to have these items fixed. A demand letter was issued with a 10 day requirement to respond yet they have not responded. As a result of this our home doesn't even meet basic requirements for occupancy.
