Gave us the most competitive price on 1/4 cord of oak (or almond or walnut) of several places I reached out to. They deliver for a fee (a little steeper than what I would've liked - $60, I previously was able to get wood delivered from elsewhere for $35). In terms of quantity we were able to fill our 1/4 cord wood holder and have some additional so as far as I can tell we got what we ordered, though I'm no expert in the area. The staff is friendly. They loaded the wood for me. I would have given them five stars. However, some of the wood had termites. Luckily, my cat saw them. I tossed those in the fire swiftly. Myself and others confirm that Garcia is inaccurate on there measurements when buying cords, half cords and quarter cords of firewood always in their favor this is no way to run a business dealing with the public. I do not recommend buying wood from these guys. They are intent on trying to convince you that they are right and you are wrong on your measurements, it's very simple math. 4x4x8, 4x4x4 and 4x4x2 apparently they have not learned customer satisfaction with your help they will. Showed up on a hot Saturday afternoon for some wood for a night and they already had some bundled up in a bag, see picture. These were $10 a bundle which seems pretty similar in price point range for 2 bundles in the store. We're hoping it will burn very long into the night as we have a campfire spot for 1 night. The place seemed empty for a weekend afternoon and there was one employee working and his dog but it was a heat advisory in SD and 104 degrees so maybe that's why. I would imagine it being more busy in the wintertime maybe. The place looks organized. No clear direction on where to park your car but since no one was there we pulled up right next to the prepackaged bundles. Also I was trying to research online before and couldn't figure out if people can pay with card and not cash.. sorry folks forgot to ask. We paid with cash - call and ask if you're wondering for a larger order. read more

I drove all the way from Escondido for the wood - the place near me wanted to charge $60 more for the 1/2 cord of wood - and, I would have to load into my truck by myself....really? Used to be a great firewood company but the owner passed the reins to her sister's family and it's just not the same anymore. The customer service is just not there, you always feel like you're bothering them and they don't reply promptly if at all, and if they give you green, unseasoned wood and you complain, they blacklist you. We decided to pay more and use Olsen's, their customer service is fantastic and you get what you pay for! read more

I always lend a hand and am surprised to hear how people pull up and sit in their AC while they load up. I have been burning wood in my wood insert stove for 18+ years. Since my home does not have heat, it's been the source for warming the house and has never been a problem. I just bought a 1/2 chord of mixed hardwood and softwood from this place and I'm thoroughly disappointed. The wood they delivered does not light or burn hot. It's either crap or not seasoned. I had 3 logs left over from last winter that lit immediately and burned hotter than 6 from here. Would not recommend! read more

went for 2 wheelbarrows and they had preloaded some with crappy off size cuts of what appeared to be various trees.(no oak/walnut cuts). I asked for some more uniform pieces and walnut or oak. She said they were out (obviously in the background lots of wood in piles). wanted $35 each for each and was rude about it. They used to be ok when they were on Main St. in El Cajon. Now... horrible. They short me 5 - 15% every time. When I complain, the old man gets angry and tells me "I'm not giving you more than you pay for" and does NOT EVEN LISTEN. All I asked for is WHAT I PAID FOR. The last time (and final time) I got wood, he was not friendly (he knows who I am) and a total you-know-what. They straight up lied when I asked them if the oak they were selling was seasoned. The wood was so wet, when I split it, I could soak up the moisture with paper towel. I split it into 2 inch sticks, it still barely burned. The only redeeming fact is that I can save it for next year. These guys are a total rip off. And they know it. I'm never going back, ever. I would literally pay twice the cost for better service and quality wood. Don't go here if you want firewood, go anywhere else. read more
