This was my first time at this business. It was a very good experience. The prices are states on their website. They also have description on what the wood it and how it's used. They provide a drive though service. Not sure if this is the norm, or because of the new Govern laws. Either way, I never touched a piece of wood. I unlocked my SUV, and they filled it up. They we very nice and fast. I bought two wheelbarrows of wood. One was oak and the other almond. Each were $25. A total of $$50. Now you dont need to do this, but gave a small tip. read more

Don't go on a Sunday. Wood is a little pricey, but they will deliver and put the wood where you need it. That's Awesome! I can't get around much anymore so that works for me. I will pay more if they deliver. They don't always have to mix I want either. They have tons of hard wood, but I have to go to 7-11 to buy the softer wood. Out of the way? Yeah, but it's ok. We have a gas assist fireplace and can blaze the hard wood, but would rather keep burning low and slow. read more

I had a bonfire at Mission Bay this past weekend and am so glad I found this place. I have a Subaru Crosstrek and filled up the back of my car, only $40! The people that work there were great, they did all the work loading it in, and were able to explain to me the best types of wood for different types of fires. Did you know that if you want to cook over your bonfire it's best to use walnut or avocado tree wood? I didn't! Quick FYI, if you're going to use a credit card there's a $3 surcharge. read more

Stacks and stacks of cedar, walnut, etc. Cut in big huge chunks. You buy by the wheelbarrow full. They will stack and load in your car. Their wood is left outside so they are slow burning during the rainy months. Make sure to use a Duraflame log to kick start your fire. Other than that, the wood is dense, long burning wood. This place is the biggest rip off. They tell you one price and charge you another. Charge the same for a short bed truck as they do a full size pickup and claim it's a quarter cord. I wish there was somewhere else to go. read more

Wood was not fully seasoned and they charged double the price listed on craigslist. Hard twisted wood in huge chunks that would not split down. Did not stay burning in a normal size wood stove. read more

Firewood is pretty simple just like any commodity. It's either ready to burn or not and it's a competitive price or not. I have been to California Firewood 3 times and unfortunately their wood was all 3 times not fully dry dry and overpriced by about $10 a wheelbarrow. read more

I chose this place based on all the positive reviews. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience. Picked up a wheelbarrow of oak wood for cooking left in the trunk of my car for a couple days. When I went to remove them, most of the wood and car trunk had bugs crawling all over them! Google search determined they were most definately termites. I spent a good amount of time banging the pieces together and removing/killing the termites. I decided to email Danna (I assume she is the manager there) telling her about my sitiuation asking what I should do. She offered to exchange the wood. So I load up the wood I spent all morning cleaning and make the trek back up there. I call right before I pull in so Danna can meet me outside as she instructed. She never shows up. The workers in the yard unload the wood and call me out to inspect it insisting the wood is fine with no bugs. I explain to them like I explained to Danna that I had spend the morning removing and killing all termites on the surface and Danna was also the one that told me to bring it back. They were extremely hostile and rude. No idea what they did with the wood that they took back. My guess is it ended up in the pile and sold to the next person. I got home and emailed Danna about my experience. No reply. I guess it wasnt important to them. read more
