Great Family business. They deliver as ordered, nice full cords (I use 2-3 per year and I'm out in remote east county. There are others I could use, maybe even a tad cheaper. But why risk poorly seasoned wood? California FW knows its wood. read more

Need a lot of firewood. This is the place to get it or get it delivered. They do that too.

We've been going to California Firewood for 6+ years and cannot say enough about how good they are. We've always had great customer service and quality firewood. If you look at other pricing for firewood they fall right in line with everyone else. Our go to is almond and walnut which has less smoke. I highly recommend trying them out. read more

Great selection of wood. Convenient drive through to and quickly get bundles loaded into your truck.

We got a 1/2 cord Delivered And the price was better then expected also, better value then others I priced around our town. The driver and assistant came on time ready for their payment and work. Very nice. Good truck (didn't leak oil on our new driveway) read more

This was my first time at this business. It was a very good experience. The prices are states on their website. They also have description on what the wood it and how it's used. They provide a drive though service. Not sure if this is the norm, or because of the new Govern laws. Either way, I never touched a piece of wood. I unlocked my SUV, and they filled it up. They we very nice and fast. I bought two wheelbarrows of wood. One was oak and the other almond. Each were $25. A total of $$50. Now you dont need to do this, but gave a small tip. read more

Not worth diving to. If it's in your neighborhood it will be slightly cheaper than buying firewood via the supermarket. So in that case do it. Otherwise, drive to the place off the 67 or go to Ramona! Ramona has a spot right on the main drag that's $20 for four bundles I paid $30 for what I believe to be 4 bundles. They barely stack their wheelbarrows and by the time they brought it to my truck I questioned it but then figured I'm already there and I paid SLIGHTLY less than grocery store prices so whatever read more

Great wood and service. Love the staff and it's nice to be able to get a mix of wood types.

Nice wood! Amazing seasoned oak, very aromatic and burns clean. Great choice for fire/cooking wood

Don't go on a Sunday. Wood is a little pricey, but they will deliver and put the wood where you need it. That's Awesome! I can't get around much anymore so that works for me. I will pay more if they deliver. They don't always have to mix I want either. They have tons of hard wood, but I have to go to 7-11 to buy the softer wood. Out of the way? Yeah, but it's ok. We have a gas assist fireplace and can blaze the hard wood, but would rather keep burning low and slow. read more

Ordered 1/2 cord of almond wood. Wood quality(seasoned) is top notch. Very slow burning, high heat, little smoke and perfectly cut. Delivered in the window provided. Not early and not late. Guys were super nice and had no problems stacking the wood where we desired. Highly recommend this company. We'll definitely be returning customers. read more

Super generous professional good people!! Friends and I planned a quick camping trip so I thought of checking this place out and getting some wooooood. I said I'd need about 6 bundles of wood so they recommended getting a wheel barrel full of wood for $25. I said yes, lets do it!! They filled up my trunk with tons of wood!!!!!!! My friends were ecstatic!! They said the wood smelled good and doesn't give you that crazy wood smell after a bonfire. The wood also burned long and long all night strong!! The ladies loved it! I had a bonfire at Mission Bay this past weekend and am so glad I found this place. I have a Subaru Crosstrek and filled up the back of my car, only $40! The people that work there were great, they did all the work loading it in, and were able to explain to me the best types of wood for different types of fires. Did you know that if you want to cook over your bonfire it's best to use walnut or avocado tree wood? I didn't! Quick FYI, if you're going to use a credit card there's a $3 surcharge. read more

Had a last minute bon fire planned and decided to try out buying wood from here for the first time. It was a little bit out of my way, but well worth it! If you're looking for a specific type of wood, but sure to order ahead of time because there was only almond and walnut available for me when I stopped by before closing. Our bon fire smelled so good and two wheelbarrows were more than enough to last us throughout the night. Very affordable and convenient. read more

My go to place for firewood! They've got plenty of options and thankfully can advise you with the right kind of logs for your needs. I used to just grab a couple of bundles of firewood from the grocery store until I came across this place and now I get a 1/4 cord every couple of months. They've got competitive prices and super accessible from the highway. There's no better way to relax at home than a bonfire and full rack of logs in the background. read more

Stacks and stacks of cedar, walnut, etc. Cut in big huge chunks. You buy by the wheelbarrow full. They will stack and load in your car. Their wood is left outside so they are slow burning during the rainy months. Make sure to use a Duraflame log to kick start your fire. Other than that, the wood is dense, long burning wood. Quality wood at a fair price. I will be back. read more

Firewood is pretty simple just like any commodity. It's either ready to burn or not and it's a competitive price or not. I have been to California Firewood 3 times and unfortunately their wood was all 3 times not fully dry dry and overpriced by about $10 a wheelbarrow. read more
