After a sudden short illness, a sweet wonderful member of our family passed away. Although exhausted from hospital trips, overnight stays & all that comes with the terrible knowledge that a life is ending, arrangements must still be made. We were recommended Direct Funeral by a wonderful nurse at the hospital. We called and they were amazing. Robert was the gentleman who helped us. He listened respectfully to what we wanted. Answered our many questions and did not try to push us into things we didn't want. We chose something simple & were very satisfied with the service & price. We are very grateful for his help. However, through the process there were moments where they were missing a sensitivity chip. I tried to put myself in their shoes. I understand they do this every day but the remaining loved ones don't. I had never had to go this process before. I can tell you that my heart was breaking and I had to bow down numerous times to obtain guidance and information. It was cold at times. I don't fault them for the family drama that ensued after, but I guess I assumed incorrectly that I would be treated a little more kindly. In the end I was put in my place very coldly, but I had already paid so not much to lose for them, I guess. I scored a 3 stars because Catherine went above and beyond to help me and was very patient with me. Thank you.

Recently I was informed that I was going to receive a plot as a result of entering a drawing. When…read moreI went in to get the certificate for the the plot there was confusion when I got there. The person who had scheduled the meeting was not there and those there were not clear as to why I was going to be there. In addition the free plot came with a lot of restrictions that I questioned whether is was worth it or not. They were more focused on selling me other services.

They called back few hours after that saying instead of the funeral home she had been taken somewhere to be declared dead because they didn't have the information that hospice had already done that and notified them. If that wasn't bad enough, we had made and paid for all arrangements ahead of time and they called us again saying they were unable to fly my mom to El Paso as had been arranged. In a time of grief, all of the stress French's caused us was unbearable.

Reflections is a God send! Our Mother died during the height of COVID deaths…read more Not knowing Reflections, we had Mother's body taken to another mortuary the evening she died. We called the next morning to discuss arrangements, and were informed we can't meet to start the death certificate process for cremation for 13 days because they were overwhelmed. We called a couple other funeral homes and were referred to Reflections, whom we called immediately. All on the day of the initial call to Reflections : Louis, the 4th generation mortician/proprietor took the death certificate information over the phone; had Mother's body picked up within 2 hours from the original mortuary; met with us at 2:00; got her death certificate signed by the doctor, and got her cremation approved by the office of medical investigations, and delivered the signed and approved death certificate to the State for printing -- all before we left his office at 3:45!Louis was completely transparent on their very reasonable prices and options. It was amazing. Two business days later: the obituary and picture were posted to Reflections website, and we picked up Mom's urn and death certificates. We were very grateful to not draw out the process. Just as important was Gloria's and Louis' sincere empathy. They were genuinely interested in hearing about our remarkable Mom. The experience was comforting. This is a picture of the gorgeous urn.

Worst service ever! You set up an appointment for pickup and no one shows up! You have to keep…read morecalling and escalating the issue, but nothing happens. I tried to set up a routine pickup date, no one comes out when they are supposed to. I tried to schedule a one time pick up and no one came on the date that was set up. I had a broken bin, took 6 weeks of escalated phone calls before someone finally switched out our bin. By that time it was over flowing with documents! Looking to get out of our contract and go somewhere else!

Do not use this company. I quit using them in 2012. They come out of the woodwork every few years…read morewith false charges. In 2021 they called my office trying to get my business I told them now I use crystal clean. Then the sales rep said I had some outstanding charges. I said that's false. I said if that's the case he needs to provide me with a copy of the invoice with the tracking number and the signature of the staff that was there when they did the pickup. I also said I do not have a contract with then since 2012 The rep was unaware of protocol and he was caught in a lie so then he said if signed a contract with them he would take off the falses charge. That was the end if that for a while. They came out of the word work again in 2023 with another false charge. They sent a false invoice to a collection company in India. I asked the collection company in India to send me a copy of the invoice with the tracking number and the signature of the staff that was there when they did the pickup and to send me a copy of the signed contract with Steticycle. Then Indian collection company emailed me a bogus invoice with no tracking number signature nor did they send a copy of a signed contract. I told them to do their research as they have to have a tracking number. Stericycle was sued during the time that I was using them because they were not properly disposing of sharps or biohazard. They were on the local news as they found the sharp's in the landfilled by the tracking numbers. Its the law that every pick up of sharps or biohazard has to have a tracking and a signature to see where the biohazard and or sharps came from and who the company was that disposed of them. Later in there was a class action lawsuit settlement as stericycke was doing the same thing to people as they are doing to me . They don't learn their lesson.That is the reason steriycle uses a collection company in India so they can get away with not knowing the laws and they can harass anyone illegally.

The gentleman to came was inconspicuous, very friendly and respectful, taking care to make sure she was handled gently and reverently. Grace was wonderful and always ready to help with anything I might need. All of the staff I worked with, including the wonderful receptionist, were kind and treated me like family. The urn was beautiful and well-made. They have also called me periodically to check on me handling my grief. I love these folks!

She arrived at 2:02 pm and the person running the seminar turned up her nose at my mom and rudely told her, "We don't accept late arrivals! You're late!" loud enough for the entire restaurant to hear, therefore embarrasing my mother and her friend. Also to note, my mother and her friend were the only Black women at the seminar and probably at the restaurant, period. The woman was so rude that even the restaurant staff had to apologize to my mom and her friend. I'd venture a bet to say that if my mom and her friend were two White -- or even Hispanic -- ladies, that woman's demeanor would have been a lot different.
