After a sudden short illness, a sweet wonderful member of our family passed away. Although exhausted from hospital trips, overnight stays & all that comes with the terrible knowledge that a life is ending, arrangements must still be made. We were recommended Direct Funeral by a wonderful nurse at the hospital. We called and they were amazing. Robert was the gentleman who helped us. He listened respectfully to what we wanted. Answered our many questions and did not try to push us into things we didn't want. We chose something simple & were very satisfied with the service & price. We are very grateful for his help. Full disclosure, I'm not the next of kin…read more Death is one of the hardest emotions, most stressfully moment of an individuals life. When my loved one died they were very nice initially. However, through the process there were moments where they were missing a sensitivity chip. I tried to put myself in their shoes. I understand they do this every day but the remaining loved ones don't. I had never had to go this process before. I can tell you that my heart was breaking and I had to bow down numerous times to obtain guidance and information. It was cold at times. I don't fault them for the family drama that ensued after, but I guess I assumed incorrectly that I would be treated a little more kindly. In the end I was put in my place very coldly, but I had already paid so not much to lose for them, I guess. I scored a 3 stars because Catherine went above and beyond to help me and was very patient with me. Thank you.

We owed $500 for extra expenses. The insurance policy was going to be paid out in 7 days. That wasn't good enough. On Wednesday, management threatened to cancel the Friday funeral for nonpayment of $500. They refused to talk to the insurance agent, refused to see a copy of the policy, refused a payment arrangement; therefore, the family paid the amount due. Other things came up during that week and later with the death certificate, that led us to conclude that we will not do business with this company again. We don't believe we should have been stressed in dealing with unprofessional people who work in the office and provide customer service. The boss said he would talk to his staff, but I did not receive any other feedback.

My 4-year-old son is buried here after we lost him due to medical malpractice. My brother, who is also buried here, was a 23-year-old Army Ranger who served our country with honor and received multiple distinguished medals. Visiting them should be a place of peace and respect. I am fully aware of and have always followed the cemetery's decoration policies, including seasonal guidelines, restrictions on certain items, and what is permitted during mowing season. In the past, when these guidelines were communicated, it was done respectfully, and my family has always complied without issue. This situation was not about a lack of understanding of policy. The issue was how it was handled. The director, Josh Glass, approached my family in a rude and disrespectful manner while we were visiting and began scolding us about decorations in a way that completely contradicted prior respectful interactions we've had with staff. During this interaction, he stood directly on my brother's headstone. Afterward, when I called to address it, he stated that they "stand on them all the time" and even "drive over them," speaking in a dismissive and confrontational manner. When I asked him to repeat what he said, he refused and ended the call. Policies can be communicated with professionalism and compassion. Standing on a headstone--especially while addressing grieving family members--and then doubling down on that behavior is unacceptable. I appreciate the acknowledgment in the response, but I hope this is taken seriously beyond policy reminders, and that accountability and respect are enforced so no other family experiences this. It is especially concerning to see leadership publicly represent values of honoring veterans, including media appearances highlighting that commitment, while my family's direct experience reflected the opposite. Respect should not only be something presented publicly, but something consistently practiced, especially by those in leadership. Seeing that public representation makes this situation even more concerning, given that my personal experience did not reflect those same values of respect and dignity.

This cemetery has been in very bad condition for years as to the condition of the grass, weeds,…read moregrass on headstones...etc...but Memorial Day 2023 takes the cake as a homeless man camped out in a prominent area laid all his stuff, and cart on the grass by a main road. No security, no one seemed to care...looked like he was trying to sell something- maybe flowers he had taken off the graves! This is a travesty to all who have their loved ones buried here...Next door- SunSet Memorial is in pristine shape...why the Catholics cannot figure out landscape maintenance, and basic security is beyond my comprehension, and completely unacceptable to the families whose love ones are buried there. This should be -10 stars if it were possible.
