Blown away by the fantastic salad! So many flavor layers and a very generous portion:) Love! My spaghetti with meat balls were also a home run. Are the whole thing before I remembered I should have taken a picture. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

After an afternoon checking out all the fun things we were starving and someone recommended Garbo's . Pizza always sounds good so off we went. I was surprised to see not a soul in sight besides the bartender and a waitress. The location is bright and open. Good size bar area with a large amount of seating both up and downstairs. We ordered a house salad, pizza, sandwiches and pasta. Our salad was so freaking good. Super fresh, just the right amount of veggies and dressing mixed in. Delicious. Our pizza was good, but the crust was more thin than I normally would like. Good flavor though. The salad was my favorite part. My younger kids really liked their pasta and my son said his sandwich was one of the best he's ever had. Service was good and our waitress was friendly.

I noticed this place while walking around one day and made it my mission to eat here! I have to say that it was absolutely worth it! I had a mushroom pizza with half bacon! It truly was delicious. The wait was not long at all & our wait staff was really attentive & nice.

Love this place . Best house salad ever . I have been here only 2 times so far but I just found out about it a week ago . I usually just get the one topping pizza and house salad and always amazing . I tried the bread sticks last time and They was great also . I usually just walk in and haven't had a problem with waiting or anything s

Try the new cauliflower pizza crust - very yum yum and I don't like cauliflower. The crust is thin, crunchy, and just the right amount of sauce. I added hamburger. YUMMY.

The debate over St. Loius style crust, sauce and provel cheese blends will not appear in this review. People have strong opinions on who servers the best St. Louis style pizza here in Springfield and I don't wish to enter into that conversation. For me what really stands out here at Garbo's are the baked subs and the salad's. The bread used in the baked subs is very good and holds up to the baking process. Another thing I enjoy is that Canadian Bacon and roast beef are the main meats on these subs. Now I must say if you like Canadian Bacon this is one of the few places that highlight it as a sandwich meat. They also offer a good selection of regular subs and pasta selections. As I said before not going to get into the St. Louis style pizza debate but there sure seems to be a lot of people that enjoy their version of it. The place is clean, with a cozy downstairs dining area, and friendly staff. There is also a small bar area if you are dining alone. For bigger parties there is an upstairs dining area that offers some privacy. Garbo's has been around for quite awhile in the Chesterfield Village center, and has a loyal following. For new comers and those that have issues with street parking, there is a large parking lot in back of the complex that will put you right at the side entrance.

This is the second half of my calzone. It's even better the second day! Chicken spinach artichoke calzone with Alfredo sauce!

They're consistent, which is only a virtue when you're good to begin with. And it has ALWAYS been good. First of all, it's a coffee shop. So how's the coffee? It's solid. Not the best, objectively I've had better coffee from some of the downtown competition. But it's made with its own degree of love and passion that results in quality. A cup of joy rather than a regular old cup of joe. The baristas have all been incredibly nice, rivaling that of Chick Fil A service if not topping it. I've also met the owners a few times, who are humble and always try to invest in their employees and customers alike. I've been surprised that the owner has recognized me a few visits in a row with months in between. It's a genuine place that makes me feel more welcome than perhaps any coffee shop I've experienced. There's also good food, pastries, and some creative drinks such as the "arrive late" and "arrive early". They're happy to make accommodations and customizations as well. The vibe is cozy. Still leaning towards cafe, but there's a few cushioned arm chairs and a couch as well, and if it's a cool day you may be blessed by the fireplace. Always a warm welcome. The music has sometimes been Christian or faith-inspired, sometimes just smooth jazz or acoustic. Today in particular, it's Michael Bublé. No complaints there. WiFi is somewhat of a weak point. But it's a fantastic place to meet up with people, enjoy a date, or simply have some you-time. So long as you don't need intense internet connectivity. I'd give the coffee and food a solid 4 stars. But the experience as a whole is easily 5. Heart and soul shan't be overlooked.

I visited Travelers today at 11:45 and wasn't even greeted with a hello, just an unhappy stare. I said hello, nothing. So I placed my order, then had to ask if the drink set on the counter was mine. When we first pulled up the place looked like it might have been closed, but it wasn't. We were just there at an unpopular time of day. It was around 2:45pm so after lunch and too early for dinner, but we were hungry. When we walked in, we were promptly greeted by a very kind and informative gentleman. We told him we had never been there before and he informed us that because it's a bbq place, they sell out very early. It was also St Patrick's Day and he told us even those specials were all sold out. He proceeded to tell us what they had left and made recommendations for us based on what was available. We ended up ordering the smoked turkey, burnt ends, potato salad and the bbq beans. The sauces we tried were a mustard based bbq sauce and their traditional house bbq sauce. We took a seat at a table while we waited for our food. It's a seat yourself dining room. Our only complaint about the dining room was the lighting and temperature. It was too dark inside and the temperature was too cold, but it was also very cold outside. Our food was brought out pretty quickly and everything was worth the wait! The turkey was so moist and tender and the burnt ends were charred just right. The potato salad and beans were both large enough to share. The potato salad had an unusual flavor because it was made with pickles which we love so it was different but incredibly delicious at the same time. I was so glad we ordered it. The beans were just okay for me, but my daughter really liked them. Personally, I don't get too excited about beans when there's better options to try. I'd rather put those carbs and calories to better use. LOL The sauces were both good but the mustard one had a very strong mustard flavor so if mustard isn't your thing you're not going to like it. The house sauce is just the right mix or sweet and smoky. As I'm writing this review, I'm craving the potato salad so much and the turkey too. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely stopping there again. Nice staff, great food, and good portions what more to ask for.
