We came on a Friday night and had to wait while for a lane so we decided to hang out around until then. Luckily they gave us a buzzer to let us know when our lane was available. They have really good happy hour deals which is a lot cheaper than their non-happy hour prices. It was $30/hour per lane but during happy hour it's only $12/hour with shoe rentals at $4. There are two floors of bowling and in addition there is a giant pool hall as well as shuffleboard. So the top floor and bottom floor both have bars which is convenient. But the bottom bar charged me slightly more for the same drink as the top bar did? I wasn't going to argue for 20 cents but it's weird how that works. The well drinks were about $7. This is a really cool place to hang out and socialize while bowling. I'd definitely recommend coming here during happy hour so you can take advantage of the (much) cheaper prices. read more

Every single bowling lane was open, every single pool table unused and they said we had to wait. 90 min later and we still weren't bowling and this was on a Friday afternoon. First time coming back here since Summer 2019 when I used to work in DT Seattle but came here earlier with two friends. I had a blast time getting to bowl and feel energized with my friends while sipping on delicious watermelon guzzler drink off the menu plus it was happy hour. Sometimes it's busy and hard to maneuver and always expensive, I can't say that I haven't had a good time on each visit. I will admit, covid has made it a little more difficult to maneuver, but I was able to look past that since almost every places is dealing with this. Their lanes aren't exactly the best spacing and their pool tables aren't any better, but it's all there to enjoy. I personally really like the separation of spaces both indoors and their outdoor patio area that I pretty much never use but probably should. I won't lie tho, the place would benefit from a slight bit more game offerings like beer pong and bocce, but hey, it is what it is. read more

I've been here a couple of times now. This is a popular hangout for locals and for good reason. The Garage offers a vintage environment for bowling, pool, shuffleboard and more. They have bowling lanes at street level as well as downstairs. The beer selection is good but from what I remember they don't have a lot of taps. They make great cocktails and also have a variety of tasty wines. Theres a fire pit and seating area outside but it's never been lit while I've been here. It looks like a cozy place to enjoy a drink so I hope it's available when you stop in! The space is good for groups and also has private space downstairs for events. We went bowling here and booked online, paying in advance. Upon arrival, the manager informed us that we would receive a 20% discount on food and drinks if we used the same card for ordering. I did so, but the bill I received via email was incorrect. I ordered 2 French fries, 1 loaded nachos without meat, and 2 beers, but I was charged for 2 loaded nachos, 4 fries, and 2 beers. The total for the items billed should have been around $41, but I was charged $57.32. This discrepancy is unacceptable. I raised a complaint, but nothing has been resolved. Oh what this place used to be. When I first moved here, Garage was my go-to place for playing pool. It was a great spot for a solo outing, a sweet date, or to hang with a group of friends. But recently, it has molded itself into the tech team-building event space that I couldn't have seen coming. This comes with its faults for its regulars as pricing has increased, wait time has lengthened thus service has become hasty (which could be a pro, sure, but con in lack of personable interactions). The music playlist is lackluster and dull, kinda comparable to "mall music." Overall, still such a cool spot to visit midday to play some pool or go bowling, but would bring headphones and head to the doors once the jacket-vest-backpack/briefcasers start herding in. Sometimes there's a wait to bowl (which is odd since a couple times there were a lot of lanes open, I'm not sure why we waited). They have a fairly good drink selection if you're waiting. It can get a little expensive here though, one of the pricier bowling alleys around. If you come on the weekend, get here early as it gets crowded. But yeah, nice place, it's just really expensive to bowl. If we're around and it's not too crowded we come in but because of the price don't just come here exclusively. read more

There is also always a decently long wait for bowling, we've been there multiple times but only bowled once cuz we didn't want to wait hours for a lane. The good news is that they have billiards! Went on a vacay to Seattle and looked up some places that had pool tables that were near our Airbnb, and Garage popped up. Wow I did not expect this place to be so dang big lol. There was not only a bunch of pool tables, but bowling lanes as well as games like a big Connect 4. We got a pool table which was only $7/hr which was pretty cheap, but that's also because we came during the day on Wednesday. The bartender was also one of the nicest bartenders I ever came across. I think his name was Jason? I was hesitant what drink to order, but he let me know that they were having an all day Blue Moon special where you get a big mug for only $5. This place is much larger than I anticipated because it handles one whole section for pool, another two rooms for bowling, a patio area and multiple bars. Make sure you get the bowling with drink tickets if you plan on drinking more than 1 drink - will save you money in the long run. The food is an Applebee's quality at best, they removed all of the good food from the menu, and the bartender refused to be a bartender and recommend / or make any cocktail that wasn't spelled out for her. I've had Garage in my bookmarks FOREVER. Like, probably a year plus. My boyfriend and I had a date day that started at Pho Bac and ended here, as it's only a 6 minute drive and looked like a ton of fun! There's a parking garage literally right next door which is super convenient. It has covered parking as well as roof top parking. For the duration of our stay I paid maybe $10. We got there during Happy Hour and it was pretty deserted inside on the side with the pool tables. Over on the bowling side was a different story - we originally came to bowl and were given a 45 minute wait time so we played pool to pass the time. I'm not sure if it's the normal price or the Happy Hour price, but we only had to pay $6 an hour for pool. A STEAL. They also had AMAZING beer specials happening - $3 Coors, $3 PBR, and $3 MANNY'S! I'm not sure where else they do $3 Manny's, so I was stoooked. We played pool for over an hour and started to wonder when our buzzer would go off for bowling... We went to talk to the attendant running bowling and they said they had buzzed us several times, but our buzzer never went off. We were at a pool table farther away, so I'm not sure if all of their buzzers reach the capacity that's promised. They still kept us at the front of the line and made sure to keep updating us for when we'd be up. We ended up still making the Happy Hour pricing for bowling - $12 an hour! Again, such a steal. Doesn't matter how many games you play, just as long as you're within the hour. For 1.5 hours of bowling, a little over an hour of pool, and countless beers... We spent probably $60 here, which I feel is a bargain. Definitely do yourself a favor and make sure to come during HH, because their normal prices are pretty steep. Such an awesome spot to come for a date, with friends, or with (older, 21+) family! read more

Garage is part pool hall, part bowling alley and lots of fun. We went to the bowling alley side to play some late night bowling. We grabbed a few pitchers and started our game. We had a few issues with the lane that prevented us from getting to finish the game, which was a bummer, but they were good about taking off some of the bill because of it. They are very strict when it comes to their closing time though. Security comes around a lot and as soon as it is time, you must leave immediately so be aware of that with any game! TIP: Make sure you get a text confirmation that you're on the waitlist, because the lady typed my phone number in wrong so we got skipped on the list. Also, they add a 3% "COVID Admin Fee" to your tab with no warning or explanation anywhere at the bar. This place was packed on a Friday night. My friends and I put our names down for the pool and bowling waitlists and grabbed a drink. The bartenders were friendly, and the drinks could be stronger but overall the price was on par for the area. For reference, a well drink was $7 and a specialty drink was $9.25 before tax, tip, and fees. The hidden fee isn't a lot, but I would have appreciated more transparency. We eventually got a lane for bowling, and this place is definitely not following COVID safety protocols. Up to 12 people can be stuffed in one "seating area" for two lanes, and people are drinking so few masks are worn. You also have no idea how the equipment is cleaned, but they have fat jugs of hand sanitizer everywhere, which I used liberally. Had a good evening today at the Garage! It was a bit unfortunate that their website was difficult to make a reservation for (it kept redirecting us to book an event?), and so we had to put our name down to wait about an hour and a half. Fortunately, we were in no rush and went to a nearby bar. We came back and were put in a lane in the alley downstairs! I had only ever bowled upstairs before, so I didn't even know they had a separate bar and alley down below. The one negative of this was that our specific lane (18) seemed like it curved significantly more and it was slower than the upstairs lane! Then again we aren't the greatest bowlers so who knows? But a couple next to us was in our lane earlier in the evening and changed to the one over because they also thought it curved. However overall it was a great time!
