He took measurements and showed me examples of doors I could purchase. I ordered a steel door that had panels that resembled my old door. Upon installation, I noticed when the door was closed, the top section of panels were partially hidden. When I questioned this, he said that the next size down would have been too short. I had no idea that it was going to look like this. After doing some research, I discovered that you can still order a door that would correctly fit a 6'6" door height. I guess 7' doors are now the standard. I gave them some stars because the guys worked hard taking out the old door, installing the new door, and making some adjustments but I'm very disappointed at how it ended up looking at the top.

We innocently arrived and entered their show room at 3:56 P.M. We were immediately greeted by the employee there with "we are closing at 4:00 PM today" and a blank stare---period. We left immediately because that gentleman had made it clear we were not welcome. He tore out of that parking lot before us and it was still before 4:00 PM.

They told me for a $60 service call. They could come out and evaluate the door and lube it and advise if there was anything that needed to be done. I made an appointment for the next week and the technician showed up promptly. He did call and text to let me know he was coming too. He did an inspection of the door and found that the cable on the right side was rusted almost all the way through and pretty close to breaking. Also, there was only one spring to open the door so it didn't lift up easily or stay up. He recommended putting two springs in Which is pretty much the standard. He gave me four different proposals, each one adding on a little bit more service. I chose the third of four proposals. It included putting in new cables, two new springs, all new rollers and bearings on the sides, and lubing it completely. When he took out the one cable that was rusted, he remarked that it was probably one to two months away from breaking. So I'm glad I called them. Also, our door had rust on the bottom on the outside, which was very visible. Probably one to 2 inches all the way across the door. He advised that I should wire brush it down some, and spray paint it with white Rustoleum paint. It now looks almost brand new And operates like it's brand new too.
