Owner, Kevin Consaul, may seem responsive, but runs an unethical business. We hired them to remove the old driveway at our new home, remove some cement and repave. Not only was the CONTRACT BREACHED in multiple ways, but Kevin & his foreman Anthony Close (subcontractor from Precision Paving & Concrete) attempted to lie about the cement found under our driveway. The original quote (which we now realize was outrageous) was for $12,244 to remove and repave a roughly 1,872 square foot driveway. After removing our old pavement on the first day and filling in gravel, they created and sent a $5,500 Change Order in an attempt to increase the price which stated, "825 cubic yards of concrete & additional stone to fill back in". By doing basic math, we calculated & replied that this was outrageously false as it would've meant they found & removed a cement layer 6 ft. deep under our entire driveway & would've needed 40 truck loads of gravel to refill. This was not true per surveillance footage: they brought 1 truck load of gravel & refilled everything - cement was not under the entire driveway. After being called out, the owner blamed the 'mistake' (aka egregious lie) on his foreman entirely, even though he created & sent the change order himself. After extensive property damage on the first day, Kevin promised in an email that he would fix everything and said, "I will make certain that your driveway comes out perfect!!". We allowed them to continue the job, trusting his word. KEVIN DID NOT HOLD TO HIS WORDS in the least. The job was done so poorly & his abhorrently immature, disrespectful attitude & blatant ignorance is shown in video footage; from him laughing when confronted, to open admittance that neither the owner Kevin Consaul, or Foreman, Anthony Close, know how to do math (on video), we should've fired them at the FIRST of many RED FLAGS. (We wish we could include an 11min video of our ending discussion with them, which revealed their untrustworthiness, but only 30 sec is allowed.) BREACH OF CONTRACT: DID NOT properly grade or install pavement correctly or include quoted amount of 2.5" of f6 asphalt (see images); reduced the sq ft. of our driveway; Left EXTENSIVE PROPERTY DAMAGE: broke mailbox, steps, railings, garage door frame, left garbage/ large messes of concrete & pavement, destroyed garden by running over plants; LIT BUSH ON FIRE - employee caught on footage was not paying attention to where he was pointing a blowtorch. No one even attempted to fix any items listed via email that were broken (as he promised) or compensate for damages. The list goes on. We paid much more than was deserved for such horrific lack of workmanship. I was not able to see how bad the driveway was since it was dark when I got home, so I should have told him to get off my property and had my lawyer contact him. I hope others STEER CLEAR of all business endeavors by Kevin Consaul who suffers from severe lack of character & decency towards his customers. If he behaves in the manner we experienced, I can only imagine the appalling ways he operates any of his other business ventures. Everything Kevin & Anthony claimed was lies; we continued to give him the benefit of the doubt, but every time their statements turned out to be false. He'd try to smooth things over to get us to be quiet. Unfortunately, we continued to give him the benefit of the doubt, only to be lied to. His claim to have insurance to cover the property damages was a lie.; claimed he had a 1 yr warranty that he was willing to extend because of his confidence in their work. Not only was there no warranty, but as is shown in the photos, the pavement was horribly done. He said he'd fix all the property damage right away, but did not; claimed, "at least 2.5" asphalt had been added, if not more" - complete lie, barely 1.5" in some places. These are only a few of the lies that he told. We're kicking ourselves for continuing to believe the lies, and for not ending the project each time he would break his word.

After you read this review (if you have the patience!) you might agree they don't really deserve…read moretwo stars. We did quite a bit of research and got four bids. Greg was second lowest but we went with them because good friends had their roof done the year prior and were happy. They said Brian was very knowledgeable and responsive. They had one problem which Brian came back and solved for them. So far, so good. When Brian came to do our estimate I agreed he knew his stuff. 43 years before Greg came to do this roof, I built a large addition to my house by myself except for the footer and block. I did all the framing, sheathing, roofing, finish carpentry, millwork, electrical, HVAC and plumbing. My Dad is an architectural engineer who guided me in designing the addition. I mention this to illustrate that I know something about home construction. I also did the second roof in 1996 by myself. Now that I'm retired I was too old to do a tearoff and reroof. When it came time to do our job in August, 2019 we told Brian we'd be out of state on vacation and didn't want work to begin until we returned. We got home very late on the Saturday night before the work was to begin. As we pulled into the driveway we could see the dumpster for the tearoff in front of the garage. That wasn't a surprise but then I looked up on the roof near the dumpster and immediately realized ALL the roofing materials were sitting on the roof just above the dumpster all in one small area! I quickly realized that the job was done in bass-ackwards order. The dumpster was obviously placed first so that the roofing material truck conveyer couldn't reach very far across the roof. Any good contractor knows to have roofing materials delivered first and then the dumpster should be placed. Hence, they delivered all the material in one small space on the roof above the garage and the dining room. I could sight up the roof line from the driveway of our ranch house and noticed sagging rafters. Once the job was underway, as they removed certain pieces of roof sheathing to replace delaminated plywood. I got up on the roof to take a closer look. I noticed several rafters which had split under the excessive weight of all those materials in a small area. I calculated the weight of materials was well over 10,000 pounds. The crew was about to put new sheathing on those split rafters and just shingle over. I stopped them, called for Brian and we waited for him to arrive. I insisted they sister in new dimensional lumber along the sagging split 2x6 garage rafters until the sistered rafter assembly was once again straight. Drywall under this area in my garage ceiling was of course damaged. The crew were roofers, not carpenters. I discussed the problem with Brian and he called Greg who reluctantly agreed to comp me about $500 for the repair work I said I'd rather do myself to be sure it was done properly. Once I tackled that project, I was sorry I settled for so little. Brian gave me the feeling Greg was very reluctant to compensate that much. It wasn't enough. I spent several days on my back on scaffolding in my garage ceiling to repair the damage and wind up with a smooth surface to attach drywall and get a decent looking ceiling. I had to use a multi-function oscillating saw and a hand chisel to true up the underside of sagging split rafters to get a good surface to reattach drywall panels. It was painstaking work. The following year, we noticed three places on the new roof where shingles were puckered just above the gutter. We called, Brian came out and determined the puckers were caused by poor workmanship applying the ice and water shield causing blisters. Air trapped there expanded once warm weather arrived. He sent the crew foreman to address the problem. His approach was to peel up lower courses of shingles and use a utility knife to slit the shield and squeeze the air out. I had my doubts that was a good solution but he swore he does it all the time. The following year, late in the winter we had a lot of heavy wet snow and freeze-thaw cycling. I noticed ice dam leakage on the laundry room ceiling and again called Brian because it was exactly where I'd seen the ice and water shield sliced to remove air bubbles. Brian got up on a ladder in the attic above the leak and confirmed where it was leaking. He said they would come out once the weather warmed to repair it. Months went by and I called three times. I spoke with the lady in the office and she said she'd put me into Brian's voice mail. The first time, voice mail was full! A few weeks later I tried again and left a message. This happened several times but he never returned my calls. I also called and left a voice mail for Greg after Brian didn't get back. Guess what? Greg never called either. This experience left a terrible taste in my mouth for Greg the Roofer. Can't recommend them to anyone. By the way, they never gave a referral award (as promised) to our friends who recommended them either.

They also left garbage on my lawn, and apparently brought a dog with them? My mail carrier left a package at a different door, because he said there was a dog running around while they were on the roof. I don't even have a dog... The final cost was over 2x the estimate they gave me too! Update: I later received an email asking if I had any comments/concerns/suggestions. I restated everything I said in this review. Like yeah, it would be nice if it was done well... I got no response at all, and there was never an attempt to come fix the obvious color/shape difference of the shingles ‍. I received a text asking how they did too, and I said the same things then. Again no response. Why repeatedly ask people how you did, when you don't care?? When I have to have my roof fully replaced, I'm obviously going to just choose a different company.
