I…read morehad a garage door emergency and was frantically calling several places because it was a weekend and I wasn't sure that anyone would be able to come out. He was on his way but someone that I left a message for (and my address on the voicemail) beat him here. Ugh. John is so professional that he called my voicemail and said he would bow out when he saw a work truck in my driveway as not to make things uncomfortable for me. That person replaced the spring but then I had another issue with the actual opener a few months later and John was the person I called. They did a repair for me to keep it cost effective but it didn't work out as we'd hoped and it needed replacement 2 months later. John gave me a fair price on the replacement assembly that had a WiFi opener (awesome when you have kids that leave the garage door wide open when rushing out to go to school and I'm sitting helplessly at work. Not anymore!) He set us up with new openers, and he also changed the rail because when we bought the house it had the wrong size and the door didn't open all the way. Now that my garage door issues were over, or so I thought, now I was noticing my door was loud. He came out again today and fixed something that should have been caught by the company that replaced the spring, and then he didn't even charge me! John is a great guy and I would recommend him without hesitation. He will be my go-to for garage door repair. He's got a new customer for life.

Someone, who will remain nameless, neglected to put his/her vehicle in park and rolled into the garage door as it was coming down. I was livid! I neglected to mention that this all transpired after 10pm on a Sunday night! The gentleman who answered my call after a few rings explained the billing process; quite reasonable for emergency service! He arrived within minutes and diagnosed the problem and various solutions. Normally, I like someone being thorough, but I was still trying to contain my fury regarding an unnecessary expense. I wasn't receiving the details in the most welcoming manner, but he retained his professionalism. Kudos to Nelson's! In my defense, outflow of money + missing my bedtime = unhappy camper.
