Cannot recommend - Joe did an epoxy coating on my garage floor in 2015 and also installed garage cabinets. Both were great at the time. However... Two years ago I needed to order some replacement shelving for the cabinets. I emailed in June 2024 and then again in December 2025 when I also needed to order some cabinet doors, and heard nothing back. More recently, the epoxy floor has started flaking, and I cannot get Garage Busters to return my call to schedule a visit to see if the issue is covered under warranty. The first time I called, on January 21, 2026, Shawn picked up and explained he'd taken over the business and that I should text him the details for both the cabinet pieces I needed to order, and my contact info so he could call me back to schedule a site visit. I texted twice more, on January 30 and Feb 16, and got no response. I have also called twice in March and left voicemails. Crickets. Companies are only as good as their follow through. The "lifetime warranty" only matters if they call you back and uphold it. Stay away! read more

Updating my initial review from 2 stars to 1 stars after getting the response from the owner Shawn this morning after I posted my review. Looks like he mistakenly sent the text (see attached pic) intended for Carol to me this morning. Very classy of him to call me an asshole after ignoring my numerous requests. Just shows the caliber of this person. Original review: I always choose to support small businesses, but what do you do when that small business doesn't support you back. Initial communication was great when I was asking for a quote. The owner, Shawn, came to my property personally to check the site and provide samples for the Epoxy finish. When I opted to go with them I sent the photo of the sample picture of the finish that I've selected but referenced the wrong material name as the website provided seems to indicate a different sample look than the one I was showed in person. The owner didn't correct me and agreed on a project start date. They arrived on the appointed day, and we found out that the sample pic of the finish I sent them was not what what they brought, stating I referenced a different sample name. If you are the business owner and your customer sent you a picture of a sample that is referencing a different model, would you inform your customer or just feign ignorance? He could have at least confirmed with me when we were communicating that the picture of the sample I chose is not the same one that I incorrectly referenced. To his credit he offered if I wanted to change it but I told him I made the mistake and I would like this project finished ASAP, so I'll settle for the material that he had brought. The project was finished and I was reassured that it comes with a lifetime warranty. Paid the owner and asked for a receipt for my records. I was told that he'll send me a receipt as soon as he gets home. I didn't get a receipt after 24 hours, so I sent a follow up message to remind them of this request. Haven't heard anything even after several attempts. I finally reached out to his office and I was reassured that they will reach out to the owner for a receipt and that he will get back to me that day. A day passed and still nothing. Finally I got a text from the owner asking for my info so he can send me the receipt ASAP but still had not received the bloody receipt end of day. I had to message the owner and his office again the next day but still nothing... I know things can get busy, but the least you can do as a business owner is to acknowlege your customers ' requests All it takes is 10 seconds of your precious time to let them know you are working on it instead of wasting everyones time and have your office call you to remind you of your obligation to your customer. I have several of my neighbors asking who I used for this project, but I will not be referring them to this business. If this business can't have the decency to give you the receipt after they received payment, what assurance will I get if I have to contact them for a "lifetime" warranty work? Probably a lifetime of silence as they can't even pick up the phone to respond, much less do any warranty work. If you got this far, choose a different epoxy installer for your garage and save yourself the after sales headache! read more

I bought 2 4x8 racks from Costco and I initially hired a local handyman to do the installation. Big mistake! After a few hours, the guy left and never returned. I called Garage Busters and they were able to schedule me in the following day. Greg finished an earlier job sooner than expected and called to see if he could come over early to start which worked out great. Even though the racks were partially installed and had to be removed, Greg had a great attitude and said it wouldn't be a problem and jumped right into the job. While Greg was installing the racks, I continued to work on other projects in the garage and these guys are legit. Not only did he have a great attitude (working on a Saturday no less), he was an expert on these racks and was able to get them installed very quick even with some of the complications of our garage. This is the first review I've ever taken the time to write. I have a hard time understanding how this company has a 5 star review. I decided to go with Garage Busters based on its Yelp reviews, the fact that it was slightly cheaper than other options, and the very friendly service I received on the phone. However, we were extremely disappointed - not only with the end result, but with Joe's behavior from the moment he showed up to do our floor. Unfortunately, our child had been sick the night before they arrived, and I had not had time in the morning to remove everything from the garage. Despite the fact that there was only 5-10 minutes of work remaining when they showed up, which I was doing my best to complete, Joe was extremely impatient. Moreover, he continued to be impatient, bordering on rude, while we were trying to make the decision of whether to add another coat of varnish. Ultimately, we were unhappy with the end result - the floor looked very tacky - and wanted to remove it. I must state that Garage Busters did provide the floor we had discussed (although it was much busier than what we had requested for (I had asked him to apply only a very light coat of the flakes, but they did the opposite, and sadly I wasn't there to catch it because I had to take my child to the doctor). Nonetheless, it was the color we had requested, just MUCH busier. As it was important to us to obtain the result we wanted (we were planning to use the room as a playroom), we decided to look into the process of removing the floor and starting again. I contacted Joe and let him know, politely, that we were unhappy with the result. Unfortunately, he responded in a rude and aggressive manner. While I understand that he takes pride in his work, and perhaps was offended by the fact that we were not happy with the result, that is never a reason to be rude to one's client. Joe actually wrote me an email stating the following: "Let me start by saying if you don't communicate with me in writing, there will be no communication." Should you choose to work with this company, I strongly advise you to ask to see actual floors before finalizing your choice. read more

I'm all about supporting small businesses but can't support poor service. Called Sean Smith and set up a meeting 3-4 weeks out. I call him the day of the meeting with no call back. I finally get a hold of him at the time we were supposed to meet and he says he forgot, that he thought it was supposed to be the next weekend on Mother's Day. Huh? We recently renovated our garage with 8' wall to wall cabinets on both sides as well as overhead racks front and back. Midway through the process we added having the floor refinished and coated with a special texture and color. My wife and I are very happy with the quality of workmanship, attention to detail and timeliness of Joe's crew.
