crossiron mills is a massive one level mall just north of calgary that feels more like an indoor…read moreshopping district than a traditional mall. the layout is loosely loop like, with long continuous corridors that let you circulate through much of the space without too much backtracking, but it isn't a perfect circle, several wings and anchor areas branch off the main path. despite the scale, it's easy to get your bearings, and the space feels clean, modern, and well organized. the mall has well over 200 stores and restaurants, with a strong outlet and value shopping focus alongside entertainment, fashion, home goods, sports, and large format retail. key tenants include winners/ homesense, marshalls, uniqlo, h&m, bass pro shops, sport chek, pro hockey life, silvercity, nike, old navy outlet, lululemon, sephora, and indigo. however, it's missing the apple store and zara. it also caters to tourists and out of town visitors, with a vip visitor card offering up to 25% discounts at participating stores. guests staying at least 60 km outside calgary can obtain it for free at guest services with proof of address. this visit stood out for the growing asian presence, including uniqlo, fuwa fuwa, marugame udon, two gong cha, and alongside kbeauty that add a pleasant mix of variety. overall vibe: very large, singlelevel footprint easy to wander for hours without feeling lost broad retail mix across sports, fashion, home, and lifestyle, more outlet driven than luxury focused, generally easier to navigate than multi level mega malls. parking and traffic can get busy on weekends and holidays

Yes... you could be circling forever trying to find a spot. This is no joke. I got annoyed looking for a parking spot. I came here to try one of the food spots inside the Deerfoot City Lodge and OMG. If I add the cost of gas and the meal, it is definitely not worth it. The Deerfoot City Lodge is quite nice and open. There is a kid play area. Lots of seating and tables. They also have special events here and there. It is not a bad mall. Only issue is the parking. I guess you can bus or train here. But if you are shopping at Walmart as well then it is definitely a bad idea. Seems like there is a second section of the Lodge. Hopefully it opens soon. Looking forward to the food options.

Deerfoot City has done a great job with their "food lodge". It's open and spacious. There's a…read moreplayground to keep the kids busy, a giant fireplace, lots of seating, and the feel is nice and open. The only thing missing is the food vendors. There's currently only Opa, Chronic Tacos, a pasta place and maybe one other. Signs are up for a Poke place coming soon. The lodge just opened so I imagine it won't be long until this building is bustling with all sorts of different options.

Also did a little shopping and even stopped at the Telus store for some Iphone troubleshooting. The Mall is a nice spot. Plenty of natural light from the ceiling windows. It was busy, but plenty of space to move around. Everyone was behaving themselves, adults and kids alike. There is good variety of stores to shop at. From anchor department stores, technology, clothing and personal wares. The gardens are a nice feature too. Very relaxing to stroll through and check out some of the current blooms.

One can easily spend hours in here with the wide variety of food, drinks, and shopping options. To top it all off, there is an absolutely stunning garden on the fourth floor with ample seating and complimentary WiFi. I can see myself just posting up there and getting work done, reading a book, or just relaxing. Only downfall is that all the washrooms are on the fourth floor and with how the escalators are set up and small elevators, it can be a pain to get up there. There were a few escalators that were out of service when I visited as well. Overall, phenomenal shopping center that I will definitely be visiting often while here.

Some wooden puzzles, inclusive dolls, fun craft projects, a fidget device that could be taken to school and some animal toys. The variety is colourfully overwhelming and I almost got dizzy from turning in circles to take everything in. I'd be terrified to take kids here as I wanted one of everything and I haven't been a kid in decades! I will absolutely be back.

My Wife and I took our extremely well behaved 3 year old grandson there on his birthday to pick out a toy and as children do he left three items on the floor where he had been looking at them and before I had a chance to pick them up the Ogre of the store aggressively told us to contain our child as he was not going to allow him to "ransack" his store. I asked him what his problem was as our Grandson was not running unattended nor ransacking to which he said THEY are not allowed to touch things because it leaves marks and then other people will not buy them. He continued babbling on in a very condescending manner at which point we advised him that the items we had already selected we no longer wanted and we left. My Wife told me later the Toy Nazi treated her the same way a few years ago when she shopped there with our other Grandson We went on to have a very positive experience at the Discovery Hut in Chinook Mall where the staff had no issue picking up things stating "it's part of our job, they are kids and this IS a Toy Store afer all" They also appreciated the $200 we spent that I am so thankful we didn't give to Hastle Toys!
