I shop at Gap and their Factory stores for my daughter. I typically frequent the locations Downtown Brooklyn (Fulton Street) and the Flatbush location. However, this store is by far my least favorite. The selections aren't that great, especially for girls that aren't toddlers. The employees on the ground level are welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, it seems the second level has their lower tier of employees. For one, it's difficult to even find an employee if you need assistance, but then, in my case, you see an employee, but they are rude. I was looking last week to get my daughter some t-shirts for camp that was to begin and as we are browsing an employee says "you can't touch those shirts, if you want to get one, you have to get an employee". I wasn't even touching the merchandise in any way-- we merely just glanced at it for about 5 seconds before her unnecessary comment. I was going to continue to look around elsewhere, but I was so out off by her remark, I opted to just leave instead. Safe to say I'll stick with the other two Factory stores in Brooklyn, for my future purchases. Gap, get a better selection at this store. Also, maybe ty and hire a group of employees for your second level. read more

Not sure why the reviews are so low here. This place has the best deals and it really isn't too much of a mess compared to other gaps. I usually don't shop at the gap, the clothing runs big, not my style and the lines are usually long for some reason. This location has the best deals. I love the gap body line and they have so many different work out capris, pants and tops for 70 percent off. I bought a pair of yoga pants for 12.99 that were originally 60, and the quality is great. They don't have a large fitting room area, it's a few rooms so that can be frustrating if you need to try things on. My advice is to buy and return if it doesn't fit. The lines can be long but really a 45 dollar sweater for 6.99, you can't beat it. I don't care if I wait on line for 10 minutes to purchase. Well worth it. read more

Ok. The deals are good, so 2 stars. I can't even knock off a star based on the fact that this place is a complete shitshow every time I walk in - because the deals are good. I can however knock off 3 stars for the simple fact that they tried to play themselves a few days ago, but I opened my mouth instead of being a pushover. The store is crowded, the line is long. An employee is handing out coupons to all the folks in the store, I did not get one based on the simple fact that the store was jam packed and she couldn't get over to me. Anyway, I get called up to the register, while the cashier is ringing up my items, said employee comes up to the register and puts down stacks of said coupons - cashier says nothing, hands me my receipt and items. I look at the cashier, then at the coupons, then back at the cashier and ask, "Would that coupon apply to my purchase?" Cashier replies, "Yes." Me, "Ok, so can you refund my purchase and apply the coupon?" Cashier, "Yea." I was a cashier for almost 10 years and I hated it, but I was always fair. Customers would give me a hundred coupons and I honored every last one. The money wasn't coming out of my pocket. What's fair is fair and if I hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have received the same treatment as all the other customers in the store that day. Definitely a grimey way to do business and instead of doing the job once the right way, the cashier wound up giving herself double the work. read more

Ok fun, long lines and u can't return stuff online at this store even though GAP website has this location as the list of locations that you can return merchandise that you brought online. This is fine, because I can go to the one at 21st ave to return. The clothing material here feels the same as Old Navy, but then again, they are sister stores. You must have time and patience to go into and through the store. This is a hands-on experience by yourself, no one will help you. read more

The staff are always extremely helpful. The lines used to be slow but they've improved a lot. The ppl are always kind and bring bags if they see you're carrying too much. They're willing to help you look for things and if they can't find your size, they offer to check the back. read more

I avoid this place at all costs, unless my mom wants to visit (and in that case, I'll make an exception). My issue is not only the selection of outdated items, but also how disorganized all of the racks and folded items are. If you are looking for a specific size, I wish you all the best. The cashiers at the register are nice enough and using the GAP card always gets us through the line faster. Still, not my favorite GAP or GAP Factory location. read more

So I went to gap with my daughter and I was asking for price check and one of the staff got mad and said the price is on the shirt tag it says 50 dollars but it wasn't it was 29.99 and I asked who is the staff and they said a worker named "marisol" and then I left the store and I got so disappointed and I will never come back I used to shop at gap for 7 years I will never ever come back this is disgusting and disappointing. read more

It seems that this store is always messy and the racks are bare. I walked in when there was a 40% off sale and it was chaotic. I walked in when everything was regular priced and yes again it was chaotic. Either the people of Bay Ridge are animals and cannot figure out the system of small sizes on top and larger sizes on the bottom or the workers at this Gap just dont give a damn. I'm an optimist and I always give people and stores the benefit of the doubt. I usually walk by if I'm not in a hurry and try to check out their offerings but quickly walk out and remember why i hate that gap store. read more

Not the greatest Gap store by any means. They have merchandise available, but for size small, frequently replied with "Sorry we don't have that size." Medium isn't too much of a problem, but occasionally the same response. I agree with the comments here, there aren't too many sales associates on the floor. Plus, the line can get long on the main level because the 2nd level cashier area isn't used. Ridiculous especially with the sales going on. read more

This used to be a regular Gap store but its now a Gap Factory...what's the difference??? I have no idea, I'll google that later. I haven't been shopping in a while(no closet space) but they had a friends and family coupon deal this past weekend, 40% off items. At first I was not going to use the coupon, but luckily I did. I bought a shitload of cardigans in different colors. Original price 39.99 and they had an additional 50-60% off and with the coupon, it came out to 12 bucks...I ended up going back about 3 or 4 times. Yes the store is a bit messy because people are looking through for clothing. I would think the workers wouldn't fix it immediately because if they did, I'm sure the pile of neatly folded clothes would get messed up as soon as they fixed it. Cashiers were nice. read more

It was my first time coming to this Gap Outlet location in Bay Ridge as I was looking for some comfortable summer dresses. If you're looking for small sizes, good luck! Most of the decent items left were either large or xlarge. Also, a lot of the items were not really organized so you definitely have to do some digging. Women's and Men's on the first level and kids on the second level. Also, for cardholders, if you haven't used your card in 6 months, they will automatically deactivate your account and you will need to reapply. What a bummer! read more

Not a fan of this location. They do not carry a wide selection of clothes and the staff here is horrible and miserable and act like they don't want to work or are doing you a favor. Not to mention my husband was at the store earlier the same day and even stated that a store clerk was too busy following him around rather than to ask if he needed help. Completely turned off by this store and hope they close this location down as clothes are all over the place and not even neat. Also if I am a gap silver member and present your with my card and discount coupon why must I show you id? I understand if I didn't have my card with me then the roll of the neck stank wench of an associate proceeds to yell the price of my items for the entire store can hear? I don't come here that much because this location doesn't carry that much inventory. However, I like coming here to check out the sales rack because they sometimes have cute and cheap stuff from past seasons, probably returns or something that are still in great condition. Plus, they have these additional 40% off on sale items several times a year. read more

Rude, rude, rude!! My first time placing a call to this gap to check stock for a pair of pants. I spoke to 3 different representatives. The first representative had placed me on hold for 17 minutes and said shell go check and get back to me. I hung up after waiting 17 minutes, called back and said to the 2nd representative, i was placed on hold for 20 mins, i have not heard back. This 2nd representative had the nerve to say it hasnt been 20 minutes and she (1st representative) is in the stock room checking. I dont care, 17 minutes or 20 minutes, theres not much of a difference. What if she was in my shoes?! How would she like to be put on hold for almost 20 minutes with no status update. This is just poor customer service skills! If i didnt hang up and call back, it mightve dragged to a 30 minutes wait! 3rd representative picked up, i told her what i was looking for and how rude the 2nd representative was, she put me on a brief hold and was able respond back to what i was looking for in an orderly fashion. The stars are just really for that 3rd rep that i spoke to. This location need to hire employees with proper customer skills! Or train the employees on customer skills! read more

Very unprofessional sales staff. I was asked by a sales person to be a "neat shopper" and to fix the shirts after picking up a size, and I was not even making a mess..Not sure If this is a part of their shopping policy now, I am there to spend my money not to worry about making their messy racks neat! If they want us to not be messy they should offer help to find a size, not stand there and lecture customers. I was very disappointed and definitely will not encourage shoppers to waist their time and money in a unorganized store like that. read more
