Yes, the store is cramped, but I think they're trying to fit as much inventory as possible into a closet-sized store. They have a good selection for the space. The prices are high ($29 for a teeny tiny swimsuit??) but it's a TriBeCa boutique, so that's not to shocking. A good place to come if you're looking for something other than the "mommy's little angel" stuff that Babies R Us sells.

The question is never IF you'll find something, but how you'll decide between the many options. Because you WILL find what you're seeking and much more. The Bookmark also has one of the BEST curated classics sections anywhere. There are cards and gifts, but these items don't overwhelm the space - as we have seen happen in the bigger chain stores. But what also sets this shop apart is the incredible staff. Owner Christine has created a team of friendly, professional people that make an already great place even better. 'Gift is Love' We were rushing, they were closing soon & traffic was a mess with construction so we parked by the Ferry and walked. Not easy. But worth it. She had a wonderful experience. The shopkeepers were wonderful, the ink personalized ornaments were perfect, and we were even cross sold a really nice item, which I appreciated as it's how you run a business. They were crowded, as they often are, and I'm I big guy trying not to knock things over, so I stood aside and let my daughter handle the transaction. We also both agreed it was great not giving more money to Jeff Bezos. Shopping local can be a good experience. It was that night. She'll always remember her trip to buy gifts for her friends.

I love that everything is handmade, so that no two items look exactly the same. So unique! As an amateur knitter and sewist, I really appreciate the amount of craft and skill that goes into each piece. I wish I could fit into the doll clothing. Also the craft tutorials on the blog are so fun to follow, and sometimes I like putting the YouTube videos on for background noise while I putter around the house. I got Max Raccoon in the green overalls for my 3 year old nephew who is also named Max and he loves him! He'll take him everywhere: basketball practice, to the dentist, to his favorite hibachi restaurant, etc. I love how Hazel Village encourages him to play and make up stories instead of passively sitting in front of YouTube kids
