My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon and were the only customers. There were four men working and no one acknowledged our presence so from the start it was an odd experience. They have plenty of items but we were specifically looking for strollers and they only really had the higher end brands like nuna, doona, etc. We were hoping we could compare a wide range including some more midrange brands like graco and chicco but they didn't have those. I glanced at clothes and things were going for $40+ for a single onesie! So unless you're looking for something very specific that they carry and don't mind not getting even a "hello" from the staff...I wouldn't recommend! read more

We bought our baby furniture and stroller from Baby Central in October 2018 and worked with Mike. We had a great experience with Baby Central. First the store is stocked with high quality items for all your baby needs from cribs to high chairs to car seats, bath, bottles etc. and baby clothing. The owners are very knowledgeable about their items and know of all the latest and newest baby items on the market. So ask them for advice and they can work with your price range. When our furniture order got delayed by the factory, the owners provided us with temporary crib and storage at no charge, which was very helpful and delivered next day to Manhattan!!! Came to this store from all the amazing google reviews. First off, the prices are about 100$+ of what you would get to places like "Buy buy baby" for the exact same products and brands. Secondly, the parking they have for customers is actually filled with trucks and absolutely no place to park there, the trucks do move so you cannot just leave your car there. read more

If you don't mind a totally hands off approach with little to no help without having to go to the employees then this store is fine. They have a great selection of strollers including some most retailers don't carry like the Cybex e-priam, valco snap duo, and peg Perego book for two. Also the Nook nursing pillow which I was surprised. Someone behind the scenes must be good at doing research on strollers because there was the pretty much obscure Vidiamo limo on display. They clearly know baby gear and what they're doing so I'm not surprised to see better reviews. The service was meh but if you go with the intention of getting a good brand be it stroller or crib I can't imagine you'll be disappointed with what you get. Came to this store with my husband on a sunday afternoon hoping to get a changing pad and some shelves for our daughter's nursery. Long story short, we were completely ignored. You have to get buzzed in, and even though we saw plenty of people inside, we had to ring the bell four times before someone opened the door for us. We saw at least two people, who were both standing close to the door stare at us, and not make a move to open the door. Not sure if those were customers or employees, so it's not completely relevant to the review, but we still found this rude. As a side note, we were both dressed in very respectable clothing, and didn't look suspicious in any way, which I imagine would be reason for someone to not open the door, especially if they're already standing close to it. Once we got buzzed in, It looked like the store had a nice selection of whatever they carry (for which they get one star), but as we walked around, not a single person asked us if we need help, even though plenty stared at us without saying anything. Again, we couldn't tell if they were customers or employees, but in such a big store, I imagine we came across at least one employee among all those blank faces. No one said a word to us or made any motion of interest in helping us find what we came for. There was also no one standing at the register at any time we were browsing, so we couldn't even walk up to ask for someone to assist us. When we went to leave, we again couldn't just open the door, and had to ring a bell to get buzzed out. We rang three times and stood in front of the door for probably two minutes before someone buzzed us out. I think it is fair to note that we were the only people walking around the store without traditional orthodox Jewish garb. Not sure if this affected the poor customer service we received or not, but we both took notice, so it is worth mentioning. Overall, I found this to be one of the most unsatisfying shopping experiences, and for a small business store that sells high end, expensive products, I would expect higher standards. If you want people to keep you in business and buy from you rather than another small business, directly from the manufacturers or from a big box chain, you should offer something they don't. Mainly, a pleasant customer experience. We have left much happier from chain stores than we have from this establishment and would not recommend it to anyone if asked. read more

Baby Central is the BEST store in Brooklyn for your baby needs! A great selection of high-end baby furniture, bassinets, strollers, carseats, highchairs, and toys- you name it they have it! The staff is extremely helpful, and patient. They thoroughly explain the differences between all the merchandise and let you test it out in the store. Their delivery service is superb and reliable! The delivery men come on time, install everything you bought in your own home, and will take the time out to teach you how to use the merchandise. This place is the worst I ordered furniture and it had scratches all over it and they wouldn't take it back they said they would send someone to come fix the scratches that never happened and the delivery guys had no idea how to build the furniture I had to show them how to put it together they broke the first screw they tried to screw in what a joke and there prices are out ragous I will never shop there again read more

Don't even bother shopping here. I drove 30 minutes out of my way to come to Baby Central for the Uppababy G Lite Stroller only to be met by a rude older sales woman who didn't want to bother helping me. She explained that the G Lite wasn't on display, she wouldn't open one up for me to test and that she wasn't going to check the price unless I really wanted it. Hello - why would I come there if I didn't really want it???? I could see not opening a box for me but to not even bother getting me the price? That's just ridiculous - I've never been treated so rudely in my entire life. No wonder the place was completely empty - hopefully others will have the common sense not to come here. The sales people are disgusting there.. i went in today to pick up stroller and they could not find me in there system after i put down a $500 deposit. I was told to come back in a week when the owner would return from vacation. About 30 to 20 min later i get a call from them saying to come back and they found me in the system what they found is that they lost an almost $1400 sale.. good for them I bought my stroller else where and am not going to return there. read more

First let me start by saying I don't normally write reviews but this place deserves 10 stars. I was shopping around for furniture for my first child and was close to purchasing from another store when a friend mentioned I should check out baby central. I went to the store which is large and has tons of stuff on display-- a huge plus since all the other stores I went to expect you to order from catalogs or photos online. I was able to actually see the furniture I had my heart set on and fell in love with it even more. I worked with Mikey and he really knew everything about everything. He was extremely fair with his prices and beat out the store where I had my previous lowest price. I ended up getting everything A to Z from baby central and could not be happier. The customer service really pushed this experience over the top. Mikey constantly checked in with me letting me know when the furniture arrived and setting up the delivery and assembly. He even made two deliveries to meet my needs and let me have the stuff I needed right away and then a second delivery for stuff I needed later on. I can't say enough about this place and the people who run it. I don't think the reviews below are accurate AT ALL as I am a tough person to please.
