Article& is a neat clothing store that offers chic, casual, and modern wear of tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, and denim. They also have shoes and accessories, and a small little sales section. I was a fan of their floral sheer scrunchies, and one of their zippered bowler-like bags was super cute! Prices are budget-friendly, and you can definitely mix-and-match with the pieces; the staff are also readily available to offer recommendations and feedback, if you wish. Plus, the staff here are super friendly and welcoming! Cute boutique to stop by if you're in the area. +great accessories +friendly service read more

Article& - Women's Clothing Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

This is my go to store for unique and curated items that are affordable and good quality. They have new items coming in every week, each of them special. My only complain is sometimes the sizes are not the most inclusive. read more

This place has amazing window displays. They look like a drugstore from the forties, but instead of being filled with Bril-creme and Borax, they have amazing clothes and inventive signage. My girlfriend assures me that the dresses are awesome. I trust her. They look cool to me, but what do I know? She knows about this stuff, and confirms my suspicions: They have great clothes here. read more

Dear Fieldbinder, You are a magnificent women's clothing store. I have been chained up in PRC and have not shopped in ages. Mama's coming home and she's getting an even bigger promotion and another job on top of that with a major sydocated news organization. I am going to fuck you through the floooor with my student visa card. In the great words from love letters di Napoleon to his wife Josephine: "don't bathe." Ow. Ow. xoxo, you know you love me read more

Really am a fan of this shop. I went in looking for something to wear to my mother's funeral. I didn't say anything at all but the women working were super helpful and very honest about fit. It was also the first time buying clothes after gaining a lot of weight. It was a really helpful experience. Because of this I paid more than I normally would for a dress of the quality (the jumpsuit I bought was high quality though!) because the experience was something I didn't even know I needed in that moment. I've been meaning to go back- they always have fun, sophisticated looks in the windows. read more

Drop Prices, Not Bombs? Come on, people. I work next door and every time I walk past this irksome and nonsensical window display my heart barfs in its mouth, and then I have to go to work with heartbarf freefloating somewhere between my lungs and whatever else is inside there, and this does not a fun shift make. Also, if I feel that contextually, 68 dollars for a white tee shirt is a good bargain, there is something wrong. read more

Ahhhh God help me, I want everything in this store. Seriously, one of the best edited selections I've ever seen. Beautiful things, flattering things, affordable things, magical things, wearable, classic, one-of-a-kind things. I walked in during their big sale before the Spring merchandise starts coming in, and scored a gorgeous velvet dress with lace detailing for $70! They also sell super cool, sexy jewelry, candles, bags, and nail polish. I scooped up a yummy candle and a gorgeous red nail polish. Plus, the woman who works there is super nice and I love their music selection. read more

as a giant gay I am host to a slew of amazing lady friends. When they come to visit me...I always pawn them off on D.F. ! As someone who also has owned his own boutiques I can say that there mark-up is very fair, their selection is very well executed and the staff is that perfect combo of best friends meets afficianado. I guess my only complaint is that they haven't yet opened a mens division. If you are into a look that is quality, minimal with maximum appeal this is your store. A look that says european chic---but in a realistic way--again---this store wins. read more

If I had the money to spend on a new item of clothing everyday (and some days it appears that I already believe this is the case!), I would definitely make several purchases at Dear Fieldbinder. I love this store. The owner is usually there and she has a great eye for quality and beautifully stylish, yet completely functional pieces. I bought my current handbag here on sale. If you can catch a sale, you will make off like a bandit (but look like a princess.) read more

There are two clothing stores with window displays that I walk past regularly in Cobble Hill. One has horrible dresses on display, and one has really cute smart-girl clothing for sale. This is that store. C. and I stepped in today to see how much one of the window dresses cost. It was on sale 75%. 75%! That meant it cost just $60. She tried it on, and it fit great. All the clothes are classy and have fine lines, and the shopgirls are cute and nerdy, too. One seemed torn right out of a Woody Allen movie. And with sales between 30-75% off, you can't go wrong. At normal price, the clothes would seem expensive, but this was a bargain, for sure! read more

I wish I had the means to shop here on a regular basis. A nicely edited collection of sumptuous garments. And it always smells delicious inside (Votivo candles, I learned). If you find Bird offensively overpriced, try taking a look around here. It's a little less Robertson Boulevard but not lacking in substance. read more

I've lived in the neighborhood for about 4 years and had bought several items here - a great dress to wear to a wedding in Paris, my favorite pair of skinny corduroys, a few blouses, and a fabulous little black dress that worked for so many different occasions. They had an amazing selection and I was always extremely impressed with the variety. There was always something I could use, whether formal or casual. However, when I walked into this store last week, looking for a dress to wear to a wedding, I was disappointed to find that they've trimmed their clothing selection down, gotten rid of some racks, and much less is available. There were more shoes, but there def wasn't the same variety of apparel that I had found in the past. I definitely wasn't able to find anything wearable to a wedding. So I was disappointed :( read more

OH. MY. GOD. Perfection perfection. All their clothing is "affordable" (i.e. almost all shirts/blouses under $200), but WELL CURATED and gorgeous. The selection is so magnificent that I actually gasped with shock when I saw a tanktop I could actually afford, because of my immediate presumption of how prices would be from the quality/design. You know this is quality when that happens. Update: So I came back and here are the price breakdowns: Tops: Average $150 Dresses: Average $390 Still pricey, but if you have the cash to burn at that moment, the selection is well curated enough that you can walk blindly through the store, randomly grab, and come out golden. This is my new favorite store for wardrobe gems, done and done. read more

I've never shopped for anyone at Dear Fieldbinder, but I used to live down the street and would frequently find myself pausing to admire the fantastic window displays they put together and rotate on a regular basis. Nobody in New York can touch D.F.'s understated elegance here. And I don't even care about fashion! It sounds a little cheezy, but (at least for me) this place adds a whole new dimension to the art of WINDOW SHOPPING. read more

This sweet collection is on my running route home, but as I am all hot & sweaty by the time I get here, I usually just break my neck and/or trip on someone's dog trying to get a look at the window display, which is always fabulous. So yesterday I finally was walking by in normal shoes and clothes and had an upcoming business event burning a hole in the back of my mind, as I had no wardrobe staple to count on wearing for it. Stepped into Dear Fieldbinder and lo and behold, the perfect dress: professional but not business-y, shapely but not clingy, unusual but understated, eye-catching but not attention-grabbing, ON SALE FOR $47, and still available in a normal size (M). I nearly fell over. Sold. Lovely collection, friendly and helpful staff. I saw about three pairs of shoes, a dress and a pair of pants I also wanted to try on, but those will have to wait for another day. Do not miss this place. read more

My favorite Brooklyn Boutique! If I wander in scruffy from a gym work out I'm treated just the same as if I was all dolled up. Love the friendly guys and gals working here! The buyer (owner?) has a unique point of view - which I thoroughly enjoy. If you purchase an item you can wear it for years to come - instead of some other high end boutiques that border on the ridiculous (which might look great this season, but will be useless the next.) Don't forget to peak around and have a good look at the shoes! I swear the buyer must inspect everything before purchasing for the boutique, because every pair of shoes I've tried on here have been super chic and comfortable. read more

Excellent. Beyond words. Nicest salesladies - so helpful and sweet - I was never nervous or embarrassed about asking for the next size up. And the next size. And...well you get the picture. In fact, I wasn't nervous about asking for anything. I felt like I could ooh and aah over a top with the saleslady and not feel pressured to now go try it on or buy it. Of course, I left short $500 but for that I got 2 pairs of jeans that FIT ME, 1 sweater dress that can be worn as a top with said pairs of jeans and a cardigan long blazer with the cutest pockets and longest sleeves. I may want to be buried in that thing, FYI. It's worth it. Go and splurge. Don't we deserve it? read more

pros: beautiful clothes, magnificently curated cons: very expensive, sizes tend to run kind of small the only thing i found myself willing to splurge on was a gorgeous handbag, but i still enjoy stopping in and looking thru the racks from time to time. read more

Lately, I have been only buying clothes that I can picture myself wearing in Paris (fantasizing about a vacation planned for next year!) and I found a great piece here. They have a huge sale section and it's easy to find timeless items here. read more

I brought in something to be returned almost two weeks ago and I haven't gotten my refund.

This place is amazing. So many gorgeous things, it's tough to walk out empty handed. Whatever the occasion you will find the perfect sumthin sumthin here, whether it be a party dress, big comfy sweater or the perfect earrings. love. read more

Great clothes, but honestly, who in this neighborhood can afford their $600 dresses and $200 earrings that are so delicate they look like they'll float away? Oh, that's right, the stay at home moms who live down on Henry Street... read more

My favorite store in the city. Dear Dear Fieldbinder, who is your buyer? Can I please marry her? Or can she at least dress me every day?

very nice store and very expensive clothes, with a very awesome secret: great sales. I was just in the other day and there were a bunch of jeans at around $40. their sale sign has been up forever, so I'm guessing the selection was fairly picked over... so next time I see a sale sign, I'm coming right in. read more

She has a fabulous eye for clothing -- in every price range. When this shop was "Dear Fieldbinder" it had lovely things albeit at the high end. When the owner decided to change the shop over to more affordable things, I wondered how that would work. Amazingly the clothes are just as beautiful and crave-worthy, proving that a good eye and excellent taste prevail. I used to shop there occasionally. Now I go often. The result is I probably spend the same. Oh well... read more

I miss Dear Fieldbinder. The clothing and shoes of the previous incarnation of this boutique by the same owners, were better quality and of more interesting designers. This was the place in my neighborhood where I would go to buy something great to wear to a wedding at a campground or a new years eve party, or when I was in the need of sandals that were really comfortable and looked 1940s. I have some wonderful staples from DF from over the past 6 years! The price point was more moderate to kind of expensive, but never over the top. I just can't shop here any longer, it's too sad, too boring in a trendy I can find this stuff anywhere kind of way... And the new name makes me cringe. read more

I love everything about this store. From the friendly girls who work there to the amazing Jeffrey Campbell boots I bought. beautiful little boutique! read more

Great sales rack! I had been expecting prices through the roof, and the new stuff was pretty luxe, but the sales rack was a goldmine of great finds marked down significantly. Saleslady was helpful and not at all pushy. Loved shopping here. read more

Dear Fieldbinder has a great selection of fantastic clothing and what is so great is that the sales people are very helpful and so friendly. They always have cute shoes too and a mixture of different price points. I always stop by when I'm in the neighborhood to see what's new. read more

Did I work here for ages? Heck, yes - which just goes to show, I know what I'm talking about. Take it from me: you won't find a better-edited selection of more wearable, interesting pieces or a better group of people anywhere, ever. Simply put, there's nowhere I'd rather spend my money. And anything nifty I own? I got it here. See you at DF! read more

Their window displays taunt me...I want everything! Really nicely curated selection of items. Much less attitude from employees than other stores in the area (ahem, Diane T). One of the spots that makes Cobble Hill so great! read more

dear fieldbinder, you're lovely. best, tina read more

Great mix of affordable and pricier (but quality) closet staples. I can always find something I want here. And I may have a particular fondness for their pants selection. Exceptional customer service. read more

This place is great. The prices are good and I enjoy browsing them. It is fun to go to. Make sure to check the place out!!!

I was accused of shoplifting by the incredibly rude woman with white/blonde hair. She followed me down the street into another store and then proceeded to take pictures of me. I then went back into the store and opened my bags to show that I did not have any stolen merchandise. I would never steal and if I were to steal it would not be from this store that had low quality, off brand merchandise. I received no apology and I believe the rude and inarticulate women who stalked me still has a picture of me. I was embarrassed and shocked however; I know this happens to certain people all of the time and I consider myself lucky that this was the first time I was falsely accused of a crime. This woman should do her due diligence before she accuses someone of shop lifting and she should apologize when she has been proven wrong. read more

I love this store! I just wish I had more $$$ to spend on the wonderful merchandise, especially the dresses. I bought a pair of beautiful wedge espadrilles back in the summer. The salesperson was very helpful and attentive while I was trying on the shoes. The service helped seal the deal. The store also sells really great jewelry that you rarely see anywhere else. Also, the candles that they sell smell wonderful. Like I said, if you have $$$ to spare, you should check this place out. You won't be disappointed. read more

while nearby bird fills me with an inexplicable rage (must be the prices so far out of my grasp, i suppose), dear fieldbinder makes me a very happy little camper even though i rarely walk out of there with a thing due to the steep prices. but this is a place where the pricing almost seems rational and fair because the stuff is just that good. incredible denim, awesome pencil skirts, a plaid coat that i almost skipped taking my cat to the vet so that i could buy, great shoes, MAGNIFICENT baubles, beautiful blouses and sweaters, nifty jumpers and things you will not find elsewhere. plus, the staff are darlings. i could, if given a stack of gold bricks, outfit myself completely with goodies from this store, and there are very few places i can say that about with confidence. my god, just go already. read more

lovely clothes for the occasional splurge, amazing bargains during their sales. the owner has impeccable taste, isn't at all pushy, will recognize you if you come in often enough and has ideas (usually right on the money) about what will look good on you. she is also really great at accomodating many body types, and offers clothes for every event/season (i think i've bought every dress for every wedding i've been to in the past two years here, as well as my favorite suit for work). read more

I love this store and they have great customer service - I lost the gift card my sisters gave me for my birthday and they were so nice and able to look up her order and reissue me mine. Their style is great for special occasion outfits and for every day wear. I basically want everything in the store. read more

I live in the neighborhood, and Dear Fieldbinder is the one clothing store I make a point of stopping in and checking out regularly-- it has a wonderfully edited selection of clothes, with interesting, beautiful jewelry and accessories to boot! Prices are more reasonable than Bird, and if you have the self-control to wait for a sale (which seems to happen 2-3 times a year), you can get some great deals (silk Madison Marcus blazer 2/3 off the original price!). Sales staff are helpful and friendly, and not at all pushy-- they seem to own a lot of the pieces in the store, and are super helpful with fitting advice or just bouncing ideas off of. A favorite :) read more
