Tommy Barnhill is a dream mechanic: Skilled, reliable, and HONEST. He'll take the time to actually explain (and show) the problem in detail to you and give you a fair assessment of the time and money required for the solution. I have NEVER felt like I wasn't getting a 100% fair deal from Tommy. He's even offered to drive me home after I left my car for him to work on. His rates are fair and the job is always done when he says it will be done. He really goes the extra mile with his work and he has kept my ancient Civic running extremely well though all the abuse I put it through. I can't recommend them highly enough. If you own a Honda and live in Columbia, you are making a mistake if you don't get it fixed at Barnhill Automotive.

They will tell me they have "fixed" an issue, only for something else to be wrong or for the same problem to continue. I have then been charged again to address the same issue, only for that repair not to solve the problem either. I was also told that one of the parts had a warranty. I called multiple times to find out whether the repair would be covered before bringing my vehicle back in. After my fourth call, I was again told, "I'll call you back," but no one ever did. At that point, I took my vehicle somewhere else. I will not use this business again. Between the repeated repairs, additional charges, and lack of follow-up or communication, I found the experience very unprofessional.
