Let me just say that this is one amazing company!! I've rented cars from them in the past and it was smooth and easy and they always have smiles on there faces and are so willing to help! I saw this car online. Fell in love. My girl Sarita!!!! Went above and beyond and helped me get this beauty! Having 4 daughters and one with Down syndrome surprising them picking them up yesterday was pure happiness! This company really cares about its customers. Sarita is fantastic! My son recently enlisted in the US Army, completed all of his training and needed an affordable, dependable, good looking car (not to mention this would be the first car he's ever purchased completely on his own); and Godwin Motors took excellent care of him and listened to what he needed! They helped him find just the right car, and for an excellent price. This car will last him for a long time and won't break his bank account. Please be aware of this company. They are mostly family owned, in the areas that count. They are extremely nice to get you to purchase a vehicle from them. Once you become a customer they'll literally treat you like crap. They do not answer the phone, if they do they are very rude and no one ever knows how to assist you. They constantly harass you every month before your bill is even due. I have never been late FYI, but you get a call or email about a bill that is always paid on time every month! But, they never know how to assist you or contact you back. That's definitely questionable to me. The service manager/ family member is rude & arrogant. He talks down to you & walks around like his sh*t doesn't stink! With so many different options on buying a vehicle, I would think twice about going here. Please pray & let God guide you before shopping at this dealership! Be careful read more

This experience at Godwin Motors was unfavorable. After being told I was a valued customer, I still received abhorrent services. I was sold a vehicle just to show up again with issues. Sales representative TODD COOPER who completely has no soft skills seemed to be mystified when asked questions in reference to sales. ISAAC BURT, if you're going to be the Assistant Sale Manager, it may be best that you and your department work on customer services skills. The services department clearly stated that my vehicle probably missed inspection prior me driving off lot. JASON, you messed up when you told me that. So, I guess DEVIN BROWN-Service Manager and the service department out in the garage just tossing tools around and charging warranty fees. LUKE GODWIN sir, this is not it!! Would you let ALEXA drive around in any vehicle that barley works? I could continue writing this review but it's giving me anxiety again. read more

After seeing them on tv, and reading all the amazing reviews; my husband and I decided to stop by. Needless to say we left a little disappointed. One person came out and basically said "we will be inside if you need us"... I felt like we got really no help. After looking at all the cars we went inside to ask a few questions and all we got was a straight answer. Didn't ask if we wanted to possibly test out a car, see if we could possibly qualify for a car or anything. Needles to say we will take our business elsewhere. read more

Godwin Motors is top-notch! I found a car they had listed online. The description was very detailed and the photos were plentiful and precise. I called and spoke with Ray to get additional information. I had never purchased a car sight unseen so this was a big deal for me. But after a little haggling Ray and I came to an agreement so I placed a down payment. I felt comfortable enough given the available photos and description. I drove the 500 +/- miles to complete the deal. Ray was off the day I arrived but Luke went out of his way to help me and to complete the deal. I was more than happy with the car and found it to be exactly as it was described and demonstrated in the photos. It has been a little over a month since I purchased the car and I have to say that I couldn't be happier with it. I readily recommend Godwin Motors if you're looking for a quality, fair priced pre-owned vehicle. read more

Ed Godwin opened Godwin Motors in 1985 after working for several new car stores including his father's, Godwin Ford in Winnsboro SC. Godwin Motors has excelled with the leadership and attention to customer service under Ed and his son Luke Godwin. Luke Godwin came to Godwin Motors in 2000 after graduating from the University of South Carolina. Godwin Motors is still serving the Midlands community 32 years later.

This dealership isn't a churn shop; each car they purchase goes through a full inspection and basic repairs, and they don't sell it if it isn't up to spec. This is better than some brand name dealerships that we went to immediately prior to this. I have a few more used car purchases in the next couple years. On July 3, 2025, it broke down completely and requires a full engine replacement ($10,000-$12,000). My 30-day coverage expired, and without an extended warranty, the dealership refused assistance. I requested a trade or replacement, but they declined. It is not reasonable that a purchase of this magnitude last just beyond the standard 30 day warranty. To any reasonable consumer, a $15,000 vehicle purchase represents a significant investment, and it is expected that such a purchase would provide reliable use for more than a single month. A total engine failure within 45 days renders the product essentially worthless and undermines the very purpose of the transaction. I voluntarily returned the vehicle to the dealer, and they still have it. I am left with a $15,000 loan on a non-running car with almost no use. Between the sales practices, conflicting pricing, and early failure, I believe the business is engaging in misleading and predatory practices.

This car literally put me completely down while driving it twice!!! I need to get to my medical appointments!!! This undependable car put me in situations that could've landed me in the hospital or even worse. I'm on oxygen 24/7 and this car left me stranded!!! Do you know how scary that is!! A portable oxygen tank is powered through the car while driving. What if my oxygen tank would have died while being stranded in the interstate out in this hellacious heat?! This company put my LIFE at risk!!! This is the only transportation I have. And I'm at a $1800+ loss. I am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED AND UPSET! They treated me like I was the one that was suckered into a trusted purchase from them! I have not been treated fairly or with any kind of concern for the LEMON they sold me!!!!!!

This company claims to be family friendly and let me just say!!! I've never felt more like home . My granddaughter is having a life changing medical issue and my daughter got behind . Well that wasn't all of it we had payments and then obstacle after obstacles hitting. They went above and beyond and just made us feel relief getting all caught up and of course let's say the suv my daughter got from there is still her dream car even if you ask her right now . And they really go to help you all the way they can possible with communication and just a great Godwin family there. This is my go to for my grand babies first care and anyone I would recommend!!! Please BUY YOUR CAR from Godwin Motors!! Ask for Isaac when you get there. Isaac was so amazing, best part is he was straight forward and did not try to hustle me like most car salesmen. He told me what he could do to help me and he delivered on his word. I came in after work which was about 5:30 pm and even though they closed at 6pm, he was so patient and made sure I left with my vehicle. He stayed and made sure I was taken care of and satisfied .Really cool guy. He really made my car buying experience a GREAT one. Another great thing is that , this had to be one of the quickest deals. I didn't have to sit and wait forever like most dealerships. Godwin Motors made the car purchasing experience a breeze! I worked with Luke, who was laid back, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. Knowing that we came in from out of town, Luke stayed super late to finalize paperwork so that I could drive my new girl home! Isaac personally (and comically) assisted me in finding the best financing options. I ended up going with a local bank, and the lady I worked with there (a friend of Iaascs) was amazing too! Isaac was awesome! I passed by their lot and saw a couple of cars that caught my eye. After viewing them online I submitted my application and was contacted within the hour. Very straight up about numbers- this is your down payment, this is your monthly payment- etc etc. Isaac even worked to match the monthly payment that I was aiming for. Everyone I came in contact with at the dealership was so friendly and engaged with their customers. I even met the owner before driving off in my new truck! They recommended the dealership on certain repairs that would've been too costly for me to have done at their shop and this is greatly appreciated. I came to their trunk or treat event yesterday that I heard about from the community. I saw an expedition for a very reasonable price and Spoke to sarita.
