On May 21, 2025, he first diagnosed one issue, then I questioned him about the coolant leak, then he said what the issue was and not to worry about the previous diagnosis. I am quite disappointed because he has failed to follow -up. He told me that he would contact me on yesterday afternoon, no call. I texted him on May 22, 2025, and I called him, he said he will call me back. At this very moment, no return call. I am assuming my business isn't important to him, but yet you gladly accepted the $185.00, or shall I say $190.00.

We took our vehicle to this shop because our usual mechanic doesn't handle hybrid-related work, and…read moreunfortunately, this turned into a frustrating experience. After testing and finding the parts the estimate became much larger, but it had to be fixed. After getting the vehicle back we had issues again and took it back because it was under warranty. They initially replaced a cooling system hose, but we later found out that the brand new hose they installed had a pinhole leak. That alone raises concerns about the quality of parts they're using and their inspection process before returning a vehicle. Well, this of course was not covered. When we picked the car up...the 2nd time, the check engine light was on -- which it absolutely was NOT when we dropped it off. They told us the issue was an intermittent misfire and suggested additional diagnostic testing for over $400, followed by more charges for fuel injection cleaning and possibly even deeper engine work. It felt like they were stacking on expensive "next steps" without a clear diagnosis. Something didn't sit right, so we brought the car to our regular shop since this was no longer a "hybrid" issue. Within a short time, they found the real issue: a smashed spark plug -- and not even the same brand as the others that had all been replaced by me personally just six months ago. That's extremely concerning and points to careless or sloppy workmanship or sadly sabotage. Between installing a faulty hose, returning my car with a new warning light, and missing (or possibly causing) a very obvious issue, I've completely lost confidence in this shop. Familiarize yourself with your vehicle and exercise caution. Sadly, many are out to profit, even at your expense.

When the motor returned from the machine shop, that price went up to $8500 because he said he underestimated the cost of the machine shop work. The lack of communication was unreal. Then the week of installing the engine he gives me a bill for $11,984.01 because he said the quote did not include his labor. Additionally, the parts HE ordered (headers, radiator) did not fit. His solution to this problem was for me to reorder these parts at my own expense!! And he was very disrespectful about it as if I ordered I made the mistake! It took ALL of my military bearing to remain calm with this guy. He initially told me he had to order all of the parts for this project and now he wanted me to order parts for a misquoted job. I refused! I forfeited my engine and deposit and just took it as a horrible and costly experience. I wasn't giving him anymore money because if you're incompetent enough to order the wrong parts then who knows how the motor will run..especially for nearly $12k!!! I was fooled by the good reviews and did not read into the bad ones, which point out the same issues I experienced. There were several flags you should pick up on if you ever consider using this place...heck I should've picked up on these flags but he starts off very professional until he gets your money of course. 1st flag: the business does not take Visa, Mastercard, etc. or that's what I was told. I had to pay all in cash. 2nd flag: his quotes are very vague, sketchy, misleading and he won't give you much in writing. 3rd flag: he is a very rude guy who lacks customer service skills. He will turn belligerent as soon as you question him on something. 4th flag: He rarely has any customers at his shop. Terrible, I came in for a simple tire patch. I was told they can't do it. I told them "that's no…read moreproblem, leave everything as is." I asked them specifically, before they even got the keys... if they can't do it cool, but do NOT change the air pressure on the other tires or make any changes. Of course when i got my car back they did the exact opposite and changed the PSI in every tire on the ground to the max. At max psi the truck rides too rough. Not to mention when i got my truck back it smelled like weed!!! Im not a smoker so it was SUPER strong. So now Im stuck with a rough riding truck that stinks smh.

I called to see if my car was ready. The guy at front desk told me I needed to speak to the owner. He calls and tell me my car still running hot after he replaced the water pump. The owner said he GUESS I need a new radiator. Which is 2000 more money. I'm noticing he Guessing alot and charging me more money. I went and picked my car up because he's not about to keep guessing on my bank account. Heck no. I took my car to Brown Motor works and they did a diagnostic and the reason my car is still running hot is because the tech didn't put on the backflow on the water pump. At that point I called him and asked for my money back cause clearly they have no clue what they are doing. They then claim Brown Motor works doesn't work on their part warranty plan. (I was shocked how they were blaming their incompetence on Brown Motor works. They did not accept accountability at all for their horrible service.) My car had to be towed back to them since I already paid them and they didn't want to refund me my money. I thought about calling the police. I get my car back and my car now has a hard idle and is not how it use to run. I wouldn't let them change anything. Rude, scammers, incompetence, inexperienced and horrible service. Beware of this awful shop!!!!
