The last stop of the Aquidneck leg of the RI Food Fights brought us here to try a wrap. The people at the counter were friendly and great with our questions. Eventually, my friend decided on the Gansett wrap, and I got the Italiano, their version of an Italian grinder but wrapped up in pita. As we waited on the dining room, we noticed how thoughtfully it was set up. There's a half wall that divides the room and creates a sense of coziness on either side, but with enough space between the tables that you wouldn't feel crowded if it was full. Soon my name was called and we picked up our food. Each plate has the name of the wrap on it, which I thought was a considerate addition, especially with multiple people at a table. We unwrapped our dinner and dug in. And then hit a road block. The pita was so tough, it was a challenge to bite through. After trying a few bites the traditional way, I switched to using a fork and knife to eat the interior. The meat selection was fine, it was just cut a little thick. The same with the cheese. And while thick cut, it didn't seem like you got a much meat in the wrap. However the lettuce was nice and crunchy, and the balsamic vinaigrette had a pepperyness that was quite pleasant. I've had Gansett Wraps before, but at the Narragansett location and had a better experience. It may have just been a bad batch of pita. So while I won't count this place out, I'm not in a rush to come back. read more

I have been coming here for years. I love what I ordered the first time, I have never strayed. An order of falafel with hummus or tahini, (depends on my mood) and an Athena on a gluten free wrap. The mix of veggies and chicken with balsamic and hummus is a perfect match. Crunchy and delicious. Ordering online or in the restaurant is always quick and easy. I love all the options (despite sticking with what I know). There is always a clean table to grab if I have time to stay. Went in to grab some food on our way to the bird sanctuary. The place is very nice, with staff that are very nice and courteous. We ordered the Italian wrap and chipotle chicken wrap. The Italian was good. The chipotle chicken wrap was way better. Slightly spicy with tender pieces of chicken was flavorful. The lettuce was crispy and perfectly dressed. Still haven't been disappointed at any of their locations! I used my RI Food Fights coupon on their Chicken Falafel Wrap. What I love about Gansett Wraps is their wraps aren't boring tortillas - they're actually pita which makes them even better. Even though the pita isn't warm, it's still superior. They stuffed plenty of chicken and falafel in there and the chicken had that kebab/grill smoky flavor. So good. The tahini dressing was tasty and kept the sandwich moist. Ordered takeout from Gansett Wraps recently after driving by this unassuming spot many times and I am glad I did! It was the perfect light weeknight meal and arrived tasting fresh and delicious! I opted for the Veggie Platter with a side of Grilled Chicken and Eggplant, and it was yum! The platter was a generous serving of house made Dolma Grape Leaves, Falafel, Tzatziki Sauce, Hummus, Tabbouleh, and Pita Bread for dipping. The grilled chicken was moist and flavorful, and kudos to Gansett for not overcooking it, a terrible mistake that plagues many restaurants that offer protein options on their salads. Not so for Gansett, the chicken was a highlight of the dish and well worth the price upgrade. Ordering was super easy as they are on DoorDash, and the food arrived in a timely fashion just in time for dinner. I can't wait to try Gansett Wraps in person, but they are now certainly on my list for favorite delivery spots! read more

Really enjoy Gansett Wraps. We typically come here and grab a lunch when we are heading to the beach, hungry and not sure what else to get or without time to make something at home. You can tell how popular they are, and the quality, from the sizable number of locations through out the state. The wraps are always really fresh and made with quality ingredients. I particularly love that the chicken is fresh grilled which is sadly not the case with some other lesser quality places. Their sauces/dressings are really good also, and never seem to heavily applied which can totally make or break a wrap. I usually get a chicken mozzarella wrap which is always fantastic. To be honest I should try to expand my menu selection a bit more, but they do this wrap super well. The combination of grilled chicken, mozzarella, roasted red pepper, and a light coating of balsamic is just bliss. The only complicated part of eating these wraps at the beach is the fact that you have to eat them in stealth mode, to counter the threat of a seagull grabbing it out of your hand. read more

Having never tried the former Pick Pockets, I can't compare, but this seemed like a nice place to come and grab a quick wrap to eat on the go. I decided on the chicken falafel wrap. This thing was massive to the point I did not want dinner later. The falafel flavor was tasty, as was the sauce. The chicken was almost headed toward the dry side, but was definitely saved by the sauces on board. I would certainly give them another try, and perhaps try something from the deli side of the menu.
