After being spoiled by Dave and Busters in Hawaii this was a total disappointment. We tried dinner on a Thursday since they have the $10 all you can play video games. The ambience was great as far as the dining area goes. The bathroom scares me, I'll hold it till I get home. I ordered the 10oz steak - medium well, my hubby ordered the salmon, my daughter got the club, and our son got pizza. The pizza and sub were okay, but the salmon was over-cooked, dry, and chewy. My steak was well done and the potatoes literally had finger imprints in them.Thankfully our waiter, Daniel was great and comped my meal, otherwise I would have given this a one star rating. If you go, don't expect the high end food to be great. Stick with the pizza and sandwiches instead. read more

Gameworks would be the poor man's Dave and Buster's if it were actually cheaper, but it's not. It's still spendy. And it's also dirtier, like a greasy spoon, or a Chinatown eatery. (See my review of Jade Garden.) This applies obviously to the restaurant area, but more specifically THE ENTIRE PLACE. It's just greasy and muggy and dirty. They should give out a free box of Clorox wipes with every card purchased. Because you'll want one at every turn---to wipe down the machines, the stools, menus, bathroom door knobs, everywhere really. There were loads of smokers by one of the doorways, and yeah, you can smell that smoke all the way inside the place. It's that muggy in there. A lot of games are indeed broken, only one player for a two player game, skee ball is missing balls, the machine doesn't give you tickets when it's supposed to... It's hard to find someone to help you---everything from the basketball is on top of the machines to what is the code for the bathroom to is anyone ever going to come and get my order to hey is anyone going to take my credit card or am I just going to have to dine and ditch. I'd say what is up Gameworks, except I never expected much from you anyway, it's kind of sad to see something as mediocre as you were right off the bat go from meh, to a gross meh. The ambiance? Now I'm laughing, not entirely a good laugh. Why did I come back? Because there's no D&B and the kids wanted to go there. And apparently so I could pass on this PSA. TIP: If you simply must go, then get a deal on a card on groupon or its equivalent. There's usually one floating around. For 20 we got one unlimited play card (video games) and a 10 dollar card (which we used for the ticketed games). Or go on Thursday evenings: 5-10pm is unlimited gaming for 10 dollars. read more

Gretta who worked behind the counter evening of Oct 18 has no personality and is rude. My son was using tickets to get candy, and Greta was not very communicative on the total, so we had to ask her to explain. She then handed us a bag so we could bag the 20 pieces of candy ourselves. Then she walks over to her co-worker (girl with black hair mohawk), and they were whispering and looking as us laughing; very obvious to customers. Gretta needs to grow up or get out, very immature and insecure. Recommend she not work directly with customers. read more

I went to gameworks with my friend and we had an amazing time! The staff was extremely nice and the management team went out of their way by making my friend's birthday so special. Along with that, all the games were very interactive and fun to play! Wide variety of games for all ages and even computer games to play too! Being able to bring your drinks around the games was really nice too! I will definitely be planning a birthday here down the road! read more

I had a great time here to tonight until i sat in the bar and I waited on their staff for about 20 minutes then left and went to Cheesecake Factory which was not such a bad change in plans! but we spend like 58 dollars on game time and then didn't even get to play that much cause we were hungry and went to Cheesecake Factory But overall good experience fun games! read more

I guess i was spoiled when I had access to Dave & Busters. This place does not compare to that; at all. I went there after I read the reviews here so I held my expectations very low. As many reviewers said in here, the place is old and the games are outdated. A big LOL to the pool tables. I've never seen pool balls so dull. In ending, I went here and had fun. Their customer service SUCKS!!!! I have 3boys I have been using Game workes for years for bussiness,birthday party or sleep over fun. I spends handreds od dolleras there all the time. One Saturday,I went there to do usual stuff,eat and play with our kids.5 minuts after I start teachimng my son how to play pool, these 3 adults came over and hurrassed us from foot away to watch us when we will be leaving.... we kindly told them that we just got there and we dont want them stairing us till we are ready to leave. Guess what they said!!! "this isnt your place,what are you going to do about it"so we went to talk to game works people, GUESS what they did!!!!!! she told them that I am being unreasonable and she knows that they come there all the time.then she gave them other table and LEFT!!!!!! no words to me.??????? This place was awful. The customer service...well there wasn't any. We had to get our own waters and go up to the bar to order our food. We never had anyone greet us. We had to get our own menus. The food and service is passable but this place brands itself with an esports cafe capable of hosting small tournaments and LAN parties and it cannot deliver. They attempted to host a small league of legends tournament with 8 teams playing. That is very small in the grand scheme of things. They couldn't even manage to host more than one game at a time when the need to host 4. This type of issue is completely ridiculous in a place that brands themselves this way. They cannot deliver the product they promise. This place is disappointing at best. read more

I love taking my kids here to play, but my damn the food/service are awful. I go to a lot of sports bars and don't have high expectations, but this was terrible. Came in at the tail end of what would be lunch (1:00), they had one server for about 8 occupied tables. 15 minutes till the drinks came and an hour for food. My wife actually saw our food ready for pickup under heat lamps upstairs, 5 minutes later one server brought it downstairs, more than 5 minutes after that our waitress got around to bringing over our cold burgers and fries. I've been here twice since I moved to Seattle. The selection of available games is massive and fairly priced. The staff seemed nice and the techs are definitely doing their jobs (every game I wanted to play worked flawlessly). The redemption center is worthwhile, having "glass case" prizes (I can't recall all of them but the one that stuck out was an Xbox One). I will definitely return to Gameworks, being the best arcade experience I have had in a while. read more

Fix your machines, a lot of the machines I played on had problems, especially the DDR. On the X2 machine the down arrow is broken on the left mat, and the right arrow on the right mat, along with the rest of the machines being old, and having sticky arrows and such. The only one that was close to functioning was the supernova 2 machine. Overall the rest of arcade was decent, not a ton of choices to pick from though, if you bought the unlimited arcade pass from Groupon... read more

My bf and I come here all the time. My advice would be don't eat or order the food. We have had to wait over 40 minutes twice now for our food, when they are not busy. The food is better now, but not as great as some of the local restaurants. They give you a lot of shit if your card mysteriously stops working mere hours after you have gotten it. If you ever have a problem with your card or a game it can take almost an hour of standing around to get it fixed. IF there was any competition in the area I would patron their competitor. With that said, they have started maintaining their games better. I prefer the old games to the new ones, so my points go a long way. read more

This place is ok as long as you find a time that isn't crowded. There are some good deals if you buy the game cards rather than paying per game. But a lot of the games are older and run down. Plus a lot of them are out of order. This place used to be amazing, and with technology advancing so fast in video games it should have only gotten better. There's a reason they aren't known for their food or good service. I waited about an hour from sitting down to getting my food, and when the food came he didn't bring any utensils to eat it with. It was another ten minutes for those, in which I basically just sat there and watched my food get cold. This place really needs some good repair work and new staff. I surprised my SO with a date to Gameworks and we both left feeling underwhelmed. For starters, with the exception of the man running their E-Club, most of their staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. We spent $60 on their ticket games, but when we went to redeem them the machine refused to print our receipt. Instead of being reimbursed the full ticket value we lost, we were shorted 30 tickets from the amount we were supposed to have, which was frustrating. Then, when we went to redeem our tickets for prizes, the employee working the register tried to tell us that we didn't have enough tickets for what we were trying to get, even though we had carefully calculated out what we could get. Turns out he wasn't familiar with the values of the products, so we were almost shorted again until another employee corrected him. In addition, they need to go through and check their games before opening for the day. Several of the machines we attempted to play didn't work, or stopped working halfway through the game. One of the Terminator shooting games blue screened in the middle of our playthrough! We did have fun together, and especially enjoyed the Star Wars game and the 4D haunted house shooter, but all in all I wasn't impressed. I wish I had spent my money somewhere else. read more

Last time I came to Gameworks I used an all day Groupon pass and I could play almost all the games except for a few. Today I thought I got the same deal but I didn't. I couldn't play almost any of the first floor games. This groupon isn't worth it. Very disappointed. read more

Kevin was really nice as well as Carvel but and probably the only reason I gave it that high of a rateing. We went on a wed and it took an hour and half to get our food, because they were short staffed and all we ordered were two pepperoni pizzas and two salads. Salads were fine but the pizzas came out cold. So hopefully they can fix this staffing problem in the future but don't go on Wed. read more

But worse than anything is the amount of attitude from the employees and they are really overprotective of the bathrooms. My safe combination has less codes than this. Incredibly slow service. We found a table that suited the four of us, but it sat un-bussed for ten minutes. We asked someone to bus it about five minutes after we arrived, and it took another five for someone to get it. Two of our four meals had steak, and both were cooked unevenly. The non-steak food wasn't bad, but nothing special either. Fries (the cheapest and easiest part) must have been considered some kind of lavish delicacy by the management, considering how sparing they were with them. Meals were brought to us in three phases. First two of us, then one came out five minutes later, and the last one ten minutes after the first of us had gotten our food. We politely waited for them, and ended up eating a lukewarm meal as a result. We stopped a waiter to ask for our checks, and ours arrived in about ten minutes. We waited another twenty minutes to pay when our waiter didn't show up and had to ask yet again. If it weren't for the fact that we were held hostage by our checks, we would have just walked away since they didn't seem interested in taking our money. It was 90 minutes between the time we stepped in to the time we stepped out. Just a nightmare. read more

A group of friends and I went in to grab some food and play games. The service from Ashley F was absolutely awful. She was extremely rude and inattentive. It took her forever to get anything. Instead she just stood to the side of the bar with 4 other staff members. When she did have to talk to us to get our order, she acted like it was the biggest burden just to wait our table. Most of the games are fun, but a lot of people stay at one game for awhile. It's extremely hot inside and a lot of the games didn't work properly or dispense the tickets you won. When I went to the front desk to let them know the game stiffed us, the guy was awesome. He came right over and refilled the tickets inside which we really appreciated especially after the terrible dining service. Overall, I don't think any of us are going to go back ever again. read more
