I visited Gamestop located on Trinity Parkway in Stockton, CA on Saturday, 4/27/24, around 8 PM. I came here because I wanted to trade in my Nintendo Switch Lite for the Nintendo Switch console with the Joy-Con controllers. The associate that assisted me during the visit was Patrick. He made the entire trade-in process easy. I appreciated his great, friendly customer service. I was able to leave with the console along with two new video games successfully. I recommend this Gamestop location. read more

I had a very uncomfortable experience with a staff member. He was very rude and kept questioning us in a way that made us feel like we had done something wrong. His attitude was disrespectful and made us feel very uncomfortable. I believe management should address his behavior and make sure customers are treated with respect. read more

This game stop is just like a normal game stop but has older systems and games as well as new. So if you're looking for retro stuff they have a good selection. Good prices on the old stuff. A little out of the way on 8 mile but worth it, as stockton doesn't have too much for this category. read more

Gamestop - Front store - Video Game Stores Near Me - Stockton, California

Do not come here, they skimmed my son's debit card information and made fraudulent purchases for virtual gift cards. The one time visit I made this year with my son he was excited to use his personal debit to pay for his game with his allowance money. The cashier stated it was declined, there is no posting on my son's account to show the charge was attempted and declined. I ended up using my card. My son had sufficient funds at the time but I thought I had forgot to unlock it. The cashier also took my phone number to look up my account for rewards. Almost three weeks after that one time visit, I went to check my son's account and noticed there were 3 unauthorized charges to his debit and depleted his funds! I called GameStop and they told me to file a report with the card service provider. I did. GameStop states that because the purchase was made online, to which my minor son has never ever had access to my online GameStop account, that online gift cards that are issued they cannot provide refunds. I submitted a claim to dispute and Visa closed it saying that GameStop provided them with the evidence of purchase in their favor. I request copies of the evidence and it shows the online order was purchased at 2AM on an android device from an IP address that's not associated with my home zip code. We only use Apple iOS devices at home! I have since cancelled my membership with them and will not be making and purchases in store or online. read more

GameStop gives you the biggest lowball when you sell them your game system but then when you go and ask them, how much is it to buy a preowned console They're literally asking almost $20 off of retail price. You might as well get a brand new one if you're doing that type of shit. You might as well buy a used game on OfferUp no big difference at all read more

my boyfriend and i went in tonight to do a trade, we were met by ray who was the most helpful person we could have possibly came across! he went above and beyond to help us and was super kind along the way- definitely deserves a raise and all the good things the universe has to offer! thanks ray!! read more

Waited 30 minutes for employees break to be over. 45 minutes later, even though he's in the store, told me he's on break. Terrible worker.

Walked in to a empty store with two employees chatting it up. Didn't even bother to greet me/acknowledge my existence, but stared at me. Less than a minute later a family of yt people walk in and they get a "Hi, welcome in guys. Anything we could help you with?" All of a sudden the employees know how to act? Do better read more

GameStop located in the Park West Place Shopping Center in Stockton, California. Yelp 100 challenge #1 It seems like a lifetime ago the last time I visited here. This gamestop is like any other gamestop. They sell new and used games and All the major systems. But if you're a gamer like me you know that each GameStop will carry different games in stock. For those who don't know what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the used games the trade in games. For those gamers out there , what's pretty cool is the Game Stop app. Enter a game title then press search, it will tell you all the local gamestops that we have that certain game in stock. Then it will give you the option to pick up in-store. So if you do, GameStop will hold the game for you for about 24 hours. I use that feature a lot when, I'm searching for a certain game. I love playing RPGs and sometimes they're limited in stock. So Christmas shopping was pretty easy this year. I didn't have to drive all over town looking for games for my kids. GameStop always has deals on the used games so come in and get your game on. They also have a discount card for $14.99. You get a 1-year subscription of Game Informer and discounts on things you buy. So yeah I'm definitely coming back. Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola aka Vincent Vega. Always enjoying the simple things in life. read more

Covid capacity handled poorly....the sign on the store door clearly says limit 5 people in the store at a time, well me an my husband waited outside until 2 people came out so we could be 2 people out of the 5 people in the store well as soon as we come in 4 people behind try and come in and the guy behind the cash register wearing glasses tells them "Come on in!" me and my husband couldn't get out of there fast enough! By the way this was Dec 5, 2020 approximately 4:48 pm if you'd like to scold the cash register guy read more

I was there and I got a Xbox gift card and as I was there I gave it to one of there employees and the gift card was scratched off and that person told me that it's all right leave it and he said come back if it doesn't work and I called today and they told me that I have to take that up on Microsoft even though I bought it from their store and they said they cannot give me a refund even if I had the receipt read more

Look at your receipt carefully! The associate charged us for a warranty on a game without asking us if we wanted it. Once we got home and noticed it on the receipt, we returned to the store and the associate denied he had charged us, claiming that we got it for "free" because we had used our $5 monthly reward! The manager remained silent, as if he knew that the store employees did this. It makes me wonder how many have been scammed at this store. We realized later that the associate had gotten us to press "yes" on the credit card reader (which, presumably allowed him to charge us for the warranty) by telling us we had to hit "yes" to use a gift card we were partially paying with. The warranty was only $4 but this is not only unethical behavior; it is almost certainly illegal. read more

pre-ordered Spider-Man and the Man giving the recipe said to come at 9 or after then I proceed to come at 9:10 and I come up to the store and they close down the GameStop on my face and yelling we are "closed" making no sense and to talk about it more the guy said if I didn't buy it in 48 hours we can't allow you to preorder anymore making me rush for a 1 min of the workers time read more

Employees not helpful at all, they gave false information, do not go to this gamestop. Terrible customer service.

Yelp says they're open (currently 11:00 am, tuesday). Sign on the lock door says they open at 12:00 pm.

My go to GameStop. The only one I will shop at in Stockton. The lower Sacramento is trash and always leave disappointed.

I went in to game stop to exchange a few consoles and games. I was "helped" by Jaime who straight up lied to me and refused to help and was not even aware of what items he had in stock. He gave me prices for my trade ins tested everything after he found out everything worked and making me spend 50 dollars on cables to be able to exchange everything and waiting about 40 minutes he then tells me he cannot take the items he already quoted me on for various reasons including that he doesn't know where a serial number is. I found the serial number in a minute. He was rude and disrespectful and wasted my time. If he didn't want to take the trade in he could have just told me but he flat out lied and strung me along to waste my time showing off to his trainee. It was pathetic I will never shop here again. I called another game stop and they immediately helped me with no issues Jaime should not work with customers. read more

It's a cool place to be at when your child wants to have games like 3bs and ps4 and fornite.

Customer service sucked to say the least. Dude at the counter was more concerned about what he was doing on the computer, rather than actually trying to help a customer. Won't be going back to this location. read more

I was immediately impressed by the excellent service. The staff at this location was very helpful friendly and professional. I am willing to travel a bit further to have the kind of experience I get with this store. Can't wait to come back, see you soon. read more

Obviously most GameStops are the same, but what sets these guys apart are their grade A customer service. They go beyond to help locate a game for me even during the most busiest hours and call other stores. If a different store has it, they will hold it until you get there. read more

There are a bunch of serious nerdos working here. And that's a compliment! I've been to a few Gamestops, but everyone here has always been super friendly. I'd like to compliment Joseph at this location. My son is 11 and Joseph always chats with him about games and makes him feel so grown up! It's so nice to receive such great customer service. I know next to nothing about video game details, (other than the names of them and the ratings), and I can bring my son in here and he can talk with Joseph about details and ask questions and he always takes the time to explain things and give suggestions. There are other locations closer to where we live but we go out of the way just because of the great service we receive at this location. Thank you so much! read more

Horrible customer service. Called to place an item on hold. Got put on hold for over 15 mins. Think they forgot they had me on hold. So I drove from Sacramento to Stockton to just go get the item since they suck at answering calls. Got HERE AND THEY Said MY ITEM I WANTED WAS ON HOLD for someone else. Well if you would've answered my call you could've saved me my time. I'm traveling from Sacramento back home to fresno on the 99 south . I went out of my way. Grrrr does your computer let the other gamestop stores know you have an item but is on hold because the gamestop in Sacramento told me you had my item in store. Grrrr and to top it off the customer service guy at this store tonight was a jerk. 2-25-2017 @ 730pm read more

Good store with great employees. Its my go to store and the employees are always willing to help.

I have been going to this Gamestop for a couple years now, and I have to say... Awesome and really friendly store manager, as well as his associates. Very knowledgeable about most games and hardware, and always willing to help me out as best they can. There are other stores nearby, but I'd rather go here. read more
