Great customer service and the staff was helpful,and patient and considerate,the employees knew exactly what game and accessories I needed

So this evening, I wanted to sell this PlayStation 4 Camera that I really didn't use that often for my PS4. I was a previous power up rewards member but didn't go through the renewal but asides from that I'm still in the system provided I give my phone number and all. So I still had the box going with the PS4 camera so I boxed it up all nice. I took it to the counter and the damn lady at the counter said that they can't take "new sealed products" back for trade, and so I corrected her and myself saying it's not sealed it's the all original box, and showed her it's open and sealed broken. And she fucking said "well the cameras already saw you, you're going to have to come back tomorrow having this unboxed" I mean what difference does it make?!??!?!?!?! I said i traded it a PS4 controller anniversary edition still in an original box/carton but not at this crap location here but at the mall. But of course she didn't buy into that and said "sorry but ok try your luck at the mall next or come back tomorrow ". I mean HELLLLOOOOO I'll give you my ID And thumbprint and phone number but her excuse was that it's her managers policy. Bull!! Stormed out of there saying the same thing. She pretty much labeled me as a person trying to trade in shoplifted sealed goods from another store and their probably wasting their time looking on the surveillance cameras. Forget this hard to park hard to go location anyways. Never stepping foot in here again. Had to go to the one at weberstown mall and just unboxed that in the car, putting it in a plastic bag. They were a better help. read more

I can't believe these employees! My sister went to get my nephew a ps gift card so she could get him a game! The employee that helped her stole the card and I'm not sure if they are all in on it or doing it but when she went back the young lady refused to help her!! She said it was scratched off so she can't help her!! How else would my sister know it doesn't work if she didn't scratch it off thieves!!! My nephew has been sad all weekend!! These games are not cheap and no one wants to fix this! The jerk told her the first card he grabbed and put the money on wasn't working and grabbed another one and acted as if he put the money on it and handed it to her!! Are you kidding me and no one can do anything! Bad business's employs thieves and don't help their customers!! The csr's on the phone won't help either Beware!!! Edit: Issue has been resolved, hopefully they were fired (Noah and his female accomplice) because today it's a gift card tomorrow could be your debit or credit card! read more

It's been a while since I've came to this Game Stop location. It's about 10 miles away from house. Unless I have really need a certain game, I'll make drive across town. That's a plus for this location though. It's bigger then the two in the mall and the one on March Ln. So they can stock more games here. I haven't been disappointed with this location. By far, this is one of the largest Gamestop's I've ever been to. From the outside, the store resembles your typical Gamestop that's cramped and full of people constantly bumping into you. However, step inside and it's nothing but goodness. Trying to fit into what they consider a parking lot is kind of a hassle, but if you just park next to Del Taco you'll be free of worrying about bumping into someones car while backing out. As stated earlier, their game selection is top notch. Large selection of games, and all of my encounters with their customer service reps have been outstanding. They have great knowledge of games, and don't BS you and act like they've played a game that in actuality they've never even heard of. Overall, great spot to cop some games. read more

This Sunday crew wasted my time. Usually the employees are helpful wether or not they have an item in stock or not, but whenever I call, someone answers. I heard Gamestop started getting these new collectibles this past Friday. So yesterday, when I went online looking to see if they were available for pick up at this store, they were. Just to make sure, I had to call and see if they can hold them just in case someone else isn't already in the process of buying them. I called the store a total of 4 times and not a single person picked up. I called, pressed 1 to get ahold of an employee, rang several times and then the machine told me they were busy and to call back. I did that three times after every few minutes. I decided just to go off route some and stop by the store since it was the closest one that was 15 minutes off route. I was a few minutes away, decided to call one last time and still no answer. I figured, it was Sunday, the store just barely opened, its busy and maybe there are only two people working. I pulled up and the little parking lot they had up front was practically empty. Even the T-Mobile employees next door were just kicking it outside. I got into the store, saw 4 customers (2 groups), 1 of them was already checking out and also noticed 2 employees up front behind the counter. I looked around for the items, but couldn't find them. I talked to an employee, I showed her the items that I was looking for and she told me they were preordered and being held till the end of the day. It shouldn't show up as available for pick up then if being held. During the 5 or so minutes I was in the store, two more employees came from the back. That is a total of 4 people working. 4 people on a non-busy Sunday and not one was able to answer the phone. Someone always picked up the phone, but not today. If they were busy, they should've picked and and put me on hold, which is what usually happens. I've heard of the bad customer service that alot of Gamestop's provide, but this was the first time that I really experienced it from them. Sure, they've always been friendly in store, but their customer service shouldn't be limited to people who show up, but to those potential ones that call. If only they had answered their phone, I wouldn't have wasted 40 mins going back and forth. This Sunday crew, three stars down. read more

They stayed open for me to pick up my preordered 2k18. I think I got there a little after 930 and he unlocked the door to let me in. Great customer service, super friendly. One of the better game stop to go to. read more

Literally the worst GameStop I shop at. I try to avoid it at all cost. I have had so many unpleasant visits there. I bought an Xbox X. They tell me the wrong price. Then they won't honor it. Manager just says people make mistakes and does not try to do anything to fix the situation. I'm military and they didn't even give me that. They said only law enforcement. Really. This is the last straw with this particular GameStop. Always go excited and leave just disappointed why I come here. Stores like this will continue the decline of GameStop as a whole. April 6th I decided to trade in my xbox 360 and all my games and accessories, due to the fact the I no longer play it. Plus, all the games that I do play I have on my PC. I traded everything in and I end up buying a Wii-U for my stepkids. I got home and showed the wife the receipt from my transaction. She noted that she didn't see the xbox on it and that I didn't get credit for trading it in. So today (4/11/13) I contacted GameStop regarding this. One person checked the receipt, and agreed that I hadn't gotten credit for it. Looking in the back room, she didn't see my Xbox, and said she would check the security footage. She checked the video and didn't see me trading my xbox in. I made a call to the regional manager and speaking to him, I was forced to resort to a few threats of lawyers and law enforcement for theft and fraud. He informed me that he would call the manager of the store. I again get a call back saying the video shows me not trading a xbox. I demanded to see the video for myself, I was given the okay to view the video. On my way to the store I get a call from the store manager, Alex. He said that they did make a mistake, that they have my xbox and asked me to come down to the store so they could fix the problem. I arrived at the store and due to the promo going on I would get a little more cash out of the deal. Also for my trouble they are throwing in a free game. I get my new game and then I end up buying a game for the wife too. I am very satisfied with the outcome and the great service that I got from Alex. A mistake was made, yes, but they end result is that I am a happy customer and I will return to this GameStop every time I want a new or used game. read more

Well, it's a gamestop. Except everything is locked up, unbelievably so. The options are very limited. I also don't recommend this one unless you're okay with a very strong weed smell. Doesn't smell outside, just inside. Probably one of the worst locations I've been. read more

I've been to every GameStop in Stockton within a 20 mile radius of my house.But this is the one I go to because the people working there are really cool. The customer service is excellent! I remembered when my PS2 couldn't play certain PS2 games but I thought it was the games themselves. I kept on returning a game for 3 days straight until I found out my PS2 couldn't read heavier discs. Not only that but my PS2 destroyed those games. I apologized to the guys at the store but they still allowed me to pick up another game. The store is well kept and workers are gamers themselves and quite social.They will chat with you about games and make sure you leave the store satisfied with your purchase. There midnight launch events are run smoothly so you get in and get out in order to play your game. They also serve refreshments on occasion while you wait. If this store has one flaw its the fact that they sale some used games that are defective and are all scratched up. Other than that its a very well managed store. read more
