I've been a member with Gamestop when they first opened their doors after all of them transitioned from being Game Swappers to Gamestop. The location at the Weberstown Mall had always my first "go to" at least up until December 2018. After that date, service has gone downhill. It seems like every time I go there, there's a new employee. Each one worse than the previous. Now I'm not gonna say every single employee is bad, but most of them are not knowledgeable and I have to go through a lot to get them to understand the points that I've earned or simply how to use my five dollar monthly credit. Today I go in there to grab Metroid Prime Remastered and it's marked NEW. A young man grabs a game that's in a used case and doesn't explain that I grabbed the last game which they use as display. He just tries to convince me that that's the way the games come and I told him that I've never bought a single game that's not factory sealed if it says NEW not understanding that that was the display game. He couldn't even be bothered to switch the game from the used case to the display case with the cover art. I refused to buy it, but grabbed the other item and paid for that. He says out loud to himself, "Lord help me, the devil is out today." I let that passive aggressive remark go, and just walked out of the store quite flustered and disappointed. Shortly after, I went to the Gamestop on MARCH Lane and found the exact same game factory sealed, and was even greeted properly and given professional help by the manager, Lou. I told him about the incident at the other store and right away. He knew that it was the young man named, THOMAS. He was telling me that THOMAS was having a bad day or week or whatever. Knowing that fact, why is he allowed to come into work? Why is he also allowed to be at the other store all by himself? Who is training these children? Anyway, as a loyal customer and longtime member, I will not put Gamestop down as a whole. Only that location at Weberstown mall. Until they start vetting their employees and hiring people with at least minimal people skills and polite conduct, I am never stepping foot in that location again. I highly recommend not wasting your time going to Gamestop at Weberstown Mall. They rarely have what you want, and Customer Service is lacking to say the least. They are great at Lower Sac, March Lane and Trinity Parkway. It's a shame, too. I've spent literally thousands of dollars at that location (mall) up until Christmas time 2018. They got one star for being Gamestop, and another star for the good customer service I had prior to 2019. read more

This game stop is a little different. Not the best selection for games but has a lot of collectables. It's in the mall so that's good if you wanna look around after or before you have shopped inside. Small but still very much a game stop. read more

Shout out to Larry! He went above and beyond to help me on a trade-in and was lowkey super patient with me even when I botched the transaction. I used to treat GameStop like a last resort but this might be my new go-to store. I'm super hyped to open my new Switch OLED! read more

GameStop in the Weberstown Mall. If you don't know where GameStop is located it's by the main entrance on the left side of the mall. Slowly this GameStop has become my 2nd favorite in all of Stockton. I really like the staff here at this location. Mad respect to Alex and Kevin who work here and major kudos to the store Manager Vanessa. She's helped me the most here and always service with a smile. That's major points with me. Also she's pretty nice to me every time I come in. I almost feel like I'm commting sacrilege because I pre-ordered my next five games here instead of the GameStop in College Square. That GameStop is my favorite one. But like I said a few years ago on my first review. I love it when they remember who you are. So if you're a Gamer like me and get down here and get you're game on. Really chill and friendly staff came in for a console trade in and they made it quick and easy

I like the location of this place, but because its in the mall, they tend to run out of items in stock. Just like any other gamestop, but the space is limited because its cramped into a small business room. There are plenty of other gamestop locations in Stockton that have more opened space to walk around and view their collection; thus, this place is only your average small gamestop. read more

This Game Stop has received low reviews in the past, due to poor customer service. Perhaps the staff has changed, because on my recent trip to purchase FF XV, the staff was amazing. In truth, most times I have been to any Game Stop, the staff has been very welcoming and helpful. read more

Went into GameStop because there was a sign about turning in your old ps3 to get a credit toward the new ps4. So we asked how that worked the guy helping us was nice & went to ask some white guy n the white guy stormed to the front ripped off the sign & didn't say anything. We were so confused then asked the white guy why he took it off n he said it doesn't apply anymore in the most rudest way he could. The black guy who originally helped us was so apologetic because of the white guy. Maybe he should teach him some manners & what great customer service really is. read more

Gamestop gave me a game and when i loaded it up into my nintendo 3ds it shortened my bbc from 300 inches to 3 inches. My body pillow has not been more disappointed in it's 10 year life span. My mom said if I don't get this peepee fixed by 2019 she is disowning me. read more

I'm giving this location a middle of the road rating because they've come a long way. Not too long ago their customer service was atrocious but since they've been having new managers and employees things have gotten a lot better and I've began reserving my games there again. Chase is the most helpful employee I've ever dealt with at any gamestop. Goes out of his way to find out information for me even if he has to call me back. Barring any regressions I'll continue to reserve my games here and if they show some consistency in having good customer service maybe next time I can leave a full rating. read more
