I stopped in here a few days ago looking to get new controller for my Xbox. The Game Stop by Target seemed to have closed early. The Game Stop at the mall was on a break for like 30 minutes so I decided to drive to the Mccarran location. I was happy to see that they were open and someone was actually working there. Not like other Game Stops I went to. The guy behind the counter showed me several controllers they had in stock. He took my old controller for trade in. He was helpful in giving me suggestions on what color I wanted. I looked at some shirts they had there. There were a few cool shirts in there. This location of gamestop is one of the least popular stores for me. I only try to come in only when a few people aren't working "Edwin" one of the employees are liars an will do it to your face. I recently stopped in just for a quick look at Funko Pops. But yesterday I seen Edwin working well trying I walked in an of course no hi, any help whatever I knew what i was looking for. Few weeks is really when this location has been a let down when I was lied to when I asked Edwin "Do they have any merchandise or anymore of those steelbooks? for Diablo 4" he was clacking cases an didnt care about my request and lied to me saying he checked when he clearly didn't. Then to hear the employee say "Yeah ill hold it for you!" *Over the phone* Which is okay but for pre-orders exclusive that's bull shit. Cool shop always love game stop. Few selections on headsets. I asked the worker about a few headsets. He said he doesn't use them therefore he knows nothing. Not very welcoming. I made it clear I wanted a pair and he was no help, didn't even seem like he wanted to even get the box down to help me. After an abysmal weekend of trying to find some amazing gifts to spoil my son, I had just about lost all hope in Gamestop. Three locations in the area were mysteriously closed with signs posted on their doors about "unforeseen circumstances" and most wouldn't answer their phones but the store at this location was a blessing. Open during their posted hours AND they answer the phone??? Is it possible? It is. What's more, when I was there, the employee Joaquin was friendly, chill and super helpful. Why is there no ZERO option? I placed an order, was told it was cancelled. They didn't cancel it. They processed it and then did a fake return and now the charge has gone to my credit card and is waiting for it to come off. The customer "service" says I retuned it instead of cancelling it so now I have to wait 10 more days for the money to come back off. Playing with the month end numbers at my expense is far from appreciated. read more

Not much to review. The store is for gamer's. It's clean and employees are kind and friendly. If you have items that you don't use and other gamer's can get use out of them, they will purchase your items that are in good condition. They don't make the prices up they have a list and refer to it. My son was able to get rid of some items and make some money. Is it the best deal in town? I don't know. But my son was satisfied. 2 months ago I went in here to order my wife the new Zelda cheers to the kingdom and was told she was going to get a wood plaque it cost me like nine extra bucks and they sent me no notification of a midnight release party I went first thing in the morning they said they were out of the plaques and there was absolutely nothing they could do with it I called corporate the lady told me that she is going to see what she could do without gathering any of my information my GameStop account or the phone number it was under it seemed like a big bush brush off I do not recommend this to anyone read more

I HATE this store! They act like they're giving you a great deal on the stuff you sell them. They buy it for a few bucks and end up selling it for $30-50! Not to mention the rude employees! As a parent of two preteens, I frequent both the Disc Drive location and the Mccarran and Prater location often. I have always found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. When ever I have an issue, they go out of their way to resolve it, normally without any complaining necessary. It is nice to see that in the day of self-checkouts and a push to robo service that there are still businesses that care about the customer experience. read more

Not only do they refuse to answer the phone. They also, lied and said they did not have a copy of the "what do you meme" game. The other store said they had three. When I walked back in an hour later "yep... here it is." I thought one off was just a bad manager. Now that this has happened six times the last year, no, it's the team. Just walk-in. Seems maybe a bit smaller than the couple Gamestops I am used to around where I live but otherwise a totally normal Gamestop. It's clean and they seem to make the most out of the space that they do have. read more

I haven't had a horrible time there. I got a good deal on an iPod once there. My most recent visit I got a little judged because I am a female. Oh really? I can't handle blood sex and gore in video games? Granted I'm not a huge gamer but hello! I'm not a saint either! Step up your customer service skills y'all! Don't judge a book by its cover! This is my most favorite Gamestop that I have ever been too. I've probably been over 50 of these stores. I've been to them in Texas, Idaho, California and well of course Nevada. They know the most about games. Every associate I talk to about games really knows their stuff. I always make sure to pre order at this store. The midnight releases are cray! over 300 people especially for call of duty! I love how the give things away if you carry the correct ticket number. The associates are nice, maybe not the most nicest but all I care about is that they know their system and games. Which they do of course! Keep it up guys! Every time I visit this game stop and they are always extremely friendly and chatty when there are few customers in the store. This makes the environment very pleasant and more of a grassroot type of interaction where they are knowledgeable and friendly. They always help me with the services that I need and when I cannot find what I'm looking for they can always help me find it somewhere else. As for the store itself everything is presented neatly and nicely. The floors are clean the counters are easily accessible and uncluttered. read more
