They suggested it...quoted price as marked on box and then refused to sell it for that. This is against NV law. Illegal! Told me. Sorry that is last weeks price! i will never understand miserable people who work at gamestop. you have a fun job. you sell toys and fun stuff. both boys at the store dry. worst customer service ive ever received. asked if they had any kid buu stuff and got ignored. saw a damaged dragon shield box with a color i like and when i asked him about it he said it was already discounted. mind you the ones that weren't damaged were the same price. go figure i know theyre probably tired of the same Pokémon question but its your job. hire someone who brightens up peoples day. alex rings me up. doesn't ask if I'm a pro member. The guy who helped me was impressed and did a quick functionality test, saw the battery was in tact and not losing power fast and offered me the full quoted amount in cash. I wish I could have turned the money around there because I would have gotten more in store credit but I was applying this to a new purchase of an upgraded device already made. Mike and Kianna were the best. Asked if they had Pokémon and after apologetically telling us they were out, Kianna found a promo card in the back to give us as consolation. Being in the mall, I bet they get pretty slammed and mistreated. Crazy to have such a kind demeanor amidst that and all of the Pokémon hype right now. read more

Honestly, this shop always seems sad. I've been going there for years and it used to be Reno's flagship store, always busy, always deals, always good customer service, all the top games, but over the past year (or longer) it's just become a shell of what it was. There's only so much you can blame Covid on though. Whenever I used to walk in with my kids the employees would hand out the paper with the deals or talk about them, or at the very least they'd have signs up. Now, there's really nothing it seems, and the employees stay behind the counter typing on their keyboard not asking questions or hyping anything. Matter of fact on my last visit I counted about 10 people in the store and the employee didn't even look up. The shelves are a fraction of what they used to be, most are empty or deals nobody seems to care about. They don't have controllers anymore because I guess everybody has bought every controller in existence?? My kid and I used to get excited going in, but now it's a very muted experience. Also, some of the game prices seem a bit strange to me (see my pic). They used to always have the best prices, but now lots of these games you can get cheaper at Walmart or even on Xbox Gold. read more

I enjoy coming in this store because of the selection. I have an old school Nintendo ds and I can still come here and buy games for it so...you guessed it...that's why I was there. There inventory was pretty picked through from the holidays but no worries! I'm sure new games will come in soon. The store was empty so I got the run of the whole place to myself ha ha! The employee was respectful and polite. The older I get, the more I appreciate that quality. Even with a small selection, I found a couple games to keep me occupied for a few months! What i am about to write is not directed towards this store. It is about the online store. I ordered a Nintendo switch back in November of 2021 and now 5 months later i still do not get a replacement or a refund when the dang thing was delivered at the wrong address. I have reported the package stolen because the person at my old address did not return the package. Also i was told by a game stop customer service rep that there is a glitch in the system that sometimes packages get delivered to the wrong address even if you select the correct address. Long story short even thiugh i reported the package stolen I still do not get a refund. So i am no longer supporting this business. I have disputed the charges with my bank and they still want me to pay for a missing Nintendo switch that I never recieved. read more

Been coming to this location for a little over about a year now. There are Good and bads about stores, this store is nice but it does have some flaws dont get me wrong it is in a mall, and for the space that they are given they do what they can with what they have. Now! 2 reasons why I enjoy this location is because of 2 members. Grant & Jen. Grant has been with GS for a while I remember meeting him up in Carson City. Jen ive known for a few months very friendly and they go out of their way to serve a customer to the fullest extent. Perfect Customer Service. Now! 2 reasons I kinda not like this location is it is small, and some of the other staff kinda hover to much. I know they have a job to fulfill but once youve told a guest your specials and if they need anything you could give them time to browse but not hover over them. But with the bads, the two staff who go beyond for customers make it a 5 star experience. read more

Walked in the store and the guy working cashier stood there on his phone for 5minutes till I had to say "hello" for him to even recognize I was in the store, I asked if they had a elite controller series 2 and he walked back with a elite controller series 1 in hand and I told him that's not the product I'm looking for, I went to go grab the box for the product I asked and told him that this is what I'm looking for, he then replied and told me that's just only the box and I understood that but I was just trying to help him figure out what product I wanted. I told him that online it said it was available for pick up, but he told me that the store doesn't have any available. So I asked if the store phone is active and he told me yes but I called atleast 3xs today every hour with not one person picking up the call. I'm glad I didn't pick the option online to purchase online and for pick up because I wouldn't have the product that I wanted in hand. read more

This is a week late or so. But I want ken to know the customer service that was given to me was really really good. I tried to go to the let us know section of game stop to give him a good review there but it was not comming up on my phone for some reason . Ken was a great personal person and explained how the game warranty works etc. I was sent from the mae Ann location to the meadowood mall location get a boxing game that mae Ann location did not have. Once at meadowood mall location ken found the game I needed and assisted me finding 2 more games for my son. Thanks again!!!! My experience at Gamestop was amazing, and that is due to Jess. I was able to pick up a game my sister desperately wanted. Usually when I go to Gamestop I cringe, I don't try to be a difficult customer, but sometimes it happens. This last time is the happiest I've ever left their store, and the next time I go to a Gamestop I'll go all the way to Meadowood Mall just for Jess's customer service. read more

This is the only Gamestop in Reno that I go to. The staff is always nice and really knowledgeable and they have great suggestions for games. My husband and I always seem to spend 10 to 15 minutes talking to one or two of the staff members about games. It's sad GameStop gets so much flak for the price of their games and their trade-ins, but I can't complain, they'll literally take anything, and I've been playing games since the Atari 2600 and games have stayed relatively steady in price since then. So if you wanna complain about price, go get a job. I like the selection, I like the staff, and I especially like the new store layout! read more

So after many years I decided I wanted to start gaming again the last console I really played was the Xbox 360 i just stop playing for a long time So I walked into gamestop and asked the gentleman Sell me an xbox one he Showed me a deal for used 1 with 2 games I got it and ended up getting 2 games and one free on top of it. He was extremely knowledgeable patient and was Trying to give me the best Bang For my buck. about a week goes by I figure out I don't think I want to use the xbox system so I go back today and going and guess whose there John the Gentleman that helped me a week before. He returns all of my games and consul tells me my credit and we proceed to do the same set up for the playstation 4. The deal for the playstation 4 was more expensive but way we're that I didn't get the 3 extra games that I wanted but I got the one game than I did and playing it for only an hour I can see how much More I liked playing playstation. I guess what I'm saying give this guy a bonus. He did gamestop proud. Thanks again can't wait to come back to but my next games and accessories from you guys. I got an Afterglow headset for Christmas and I tried it out first thing but I noticed that the sound was static like and it seemed as though an electrical chord was not connected right so I took it back to the game stop that the person I got it from without the receipt because the person I got it from threw away the receipt. The game stop employees told me that they couldn't do anything, not even exchange the item. I was extremely disappointed with the results and now game stop has ruined my Christmas I will never shop here again. read more

I have been in before, but it was around Christmas-time and the line was out the door so I left before anyone could help me find what I needed. Today I was on a mission to get a used copy of the Super Mario Bros for the Wii. First we went to Game Force and their Wii selection was awful as well as the service, so we drove to the mall. The assistant manager who helped us at Gamestop was excellent! He said they only had a new Super Mario, the price difference was a mere $5.00 and then sold me on it by describing in detail how fun the game was. Then he told us about a promotion they were running where you trade in a game and get the price of the game plus 50% toward a used game in the store. Since we didn't have our used game to trade with us, he called over to the store closest to our house and stayed on hold for some time until he had the store secure a used Mario game for us.
