Terrible experience with one of the workers not sure if she's the manager but she always opens up for the Pokemon releases she looks middle aged and sometimes wears a face mask. She was super unfair with how she treated me and my lady and we felt discriminated against as we were the only ones singled out even though there was over 20 people. She said it's one item per person and she will be handing out tickets. She goes around the line and gives everyone a ticket per person and even acknowledged the white couple that were first and hands them they're ticket but when she got to me and my girlfriend she made a huge deal talking about how she can only give me on ticket because we came together even though it said one person. So she changes it and says "well now it's one per household" even though there was literally a whole family of a mom and dad and kids that got handed their tickets?!? How disrespectful of her to single us out and treat us differently when we didn't do anything but stand in line like the rest. So she says it's one per household and I tell her that we don't even live together so if that's the case we both deserve a ticket to buy a Pokemon item. She makes a huge fuss and makes us take out our id's to find out that we actually don't live together. And then continues to the rest of the couples and families and hands them 1 per person even though they are obviously together. We were the only Mexican couple did she do it out of hate towards Mexicans?? Because we literally did nothing but stand there. I've been coming to this GameStop for years, I used to cycle between this one and the one at the Inland Center but ever since the mall one closed I've only been coming to this one. Have no idea where these negative reviews are coming from, I've always had a positive experience when coming here. People need to understand that the workers are humans with emotions and often time you'll be getting the same energy you put out thrown back at you. So if you go in all entitled and rude that's exactly what you'll receive. So before Smash Bros Ultimate came out, I put a reservation on a new Switch with Smash included and when I came to pick up the product, they told me they were out of the stand that the reservation was supposed to come with. Check your bank statements if you needed a "refund". Second time this has happened in 90 days. First incident has never been resolved. Second incident I will not let go. Matthew told me directly last night (because he knew he charged my card twice and when I asked for the receipt showing the refund he all of a sudden didn't have one) to come back tomorrow if I had any problems and he would make sure I got taken care of. He wouldn't even help me himself. Other clerk called customer service and of course they wouldn't help me either. I asked for the district manager name and phone number (I used to work at a game crazy so I know how it works) and was denied that information. The customer service here is awesome! A couple associates here are REALLY knowledgeable, and willing to chit chat about games with anyone. It's close to home so I find myself there often. My only problem, and it's a big one, is that they don't price match. I get that many stores stopped doing this, but what a shame! Target, for example, has Breath Of The Wild on sale for 45$. I take issue with the way GameStop on University takes in the midnight crowd on special releases. The 6pm crowd gets group tickets for entry first. My issue is that the "PRE ORDERS" that paid in full weeks earlier are not the first option group to enter. This should be part of the incentive to "Pre - order". They way they do it now, someone could have a spur of the moment wish to have that game that day and be the first ones to get it and make the weeks earlier pre buy fans wait another hour to get it until those that never pre bought. The salespeople are all pretty cool, and they have successfully convinced me to buy into the Power Up rewards group, which gives members additional benefits when trading in games and also advantages with special offers. There's never been a time that this location did not have a game I was looking for, and the used discs and game accessories are always in good condition.
