I attempted to pre order a game which the store had received an extra copy off the sale associate Josh was super helpful and tried to set aside the game for me. Josh asked me to come in on the 1st to pick up the preorder and pay the difference. Come in on the 1st took time off work to go get this. And John the manager says sorry I can't sell you the game we have to send to another store "I already spoke to Josh about it". John didn't offer any solutions he simply blamed Josh for the incident. I responded aren't you the store manager? Shouldn't you have told your staff that copy isn't for sale?!? John was rude and tried to find no resolution. Just went to purchase a game and the cashier totally made me feel bad for buying a rated M game (farcry) that I said my young daughter likes to play and is quite good at but would like something with less killing. He asked me more than once if I'm aware it's rated M and if I was ok with that and I asked is that something new they're doing and he said no but things are getting more crazy and I said what do you mean and he said like kids playing them! Like for real are you trying to make me feel bad? For one it's not illegal for kids to play rated M games, it's rated M for language and killing but there is no sex, there is also fishing and hunting and 3rd it's really none of your business. He was a young Asian kid with bleached hair who obviously doesn't have kids of his own since he feels comfortable judging a parent he doesn't know. Was really off putting and annoying and he needs to learn to keep his mouth shut and have better customer service. read more

This GameStop is pretty small, but they had a better variety of plushies than I've found pretty much anywhere. The major surprise bonus was that the staff was extremely friendly and helpful and even hough there was a long line, it went pretty fast. read more

Went to go pickup my preorders today and they told me I'm not able to pick them up because the account is in my wife's name. They didn't have a problem with me ordering them on my wife's account but I can't pick them up. I've been waiting over a month for these to come in and watched as Amazon had these available weeks ago but I held strong because I had already preordered them from here. When I was told they were in I was soooo excited then I get there only to get shot in the heart. I've made preorders at the San Jacinto GameStop and never got told my wife is only one able to pick them up. I told them I have the receipt, I called my wife and they still denied me my preorders. After my wife called and bitched them out I was able to return and get my money back. Thanks for wasting my time! This is why people shop online, thank god Amazon still had them available. First I would like to say that the staff is always friendly and helpful. Anything I have ever looked for at this store is there and ready to go. That being said, since the woman that was manager left, this customer service has gone way way way down. The last few times I have been in this store I have had to wait from well over 20 mins in an unnecessary line. One person working the counter, when there are three employees in the store, is no way to run a store. The manager should not come out of the back room, see the line and turn around. What ever he was doing in the back, is not as important as the customers waiting 5 deep. As a Manager of a retail store, this would never fly where I work. Customers always come first. I'll be taking my business into Menifee or Murrieta store from now on. read more

I recently took my daughter in to return a control that she was not using at all. It was brand new I had my recipt and I made sure we weren't missing anything because because I hate to be that person who is not prepared. I am not a gamer but I still spend quite a a bit of money at this location on both my husband and daughter. We finally get up up to the counter after waiting 30 minutes in line and are greeted without a smile and and with a horrible attitude by the sales associate. She proceeds to give me and my daughter a lecture about sony and why Sony wants to get their money and how we will still need to keep this dam control that my daughter doesn't even use for about 5 minutes. Right when when I was about to blow up a nice gentlemen steps in and takes over the transaction. I understand that Game stop has protocol but part of that protocol does not consist of being an obnoxious her to a teen girl and her mother. I wish that staff had better customer service habits. read more

I bring my son to this store multiple times a month. The staff is always friendly and welcoming...I did not give 5 stars only because there was one person on the clock at this time and I created a long line. (I however normally always expect a wait because the staff does take their time with each guest at the counter. They don't try to rush them off). Anyhow, I'm writing a review because I had an issue I had been trying to resolve directly with Sony with no help what so ever, something that has been going on since January with 13chat sessions and 5direct calls with Sony. Saturday, I called the store first thing in the morning and explained everything to "Jeremiah". He was so caring and compassionate about the issue and once I got to the store, he was even more helpful than on the phone. He really, really took care of the issue and my son could not have been happier that day! I want to give kudos to Jeremiah for being a great assistant manager and treating his customers fairly and putting customer service first like every other retail store should do.
