Horrible customer service, if you even want to call it that, because I received NONE. Came in today to purchase a gift card, nothing more. There was only 1 customer when I got there, sounded like she was purchasing a refurbished Switch so the only employee there was helping with that. After about 10 minutes of waiting (mind you, I wasn't even really walking around), another customer came in. He looked for something specific & waited by the other register. The employee then asked if he was ready to pay & he helped him at the other register, as the 1st customer was having issues with payment method. So then I'm thinking "oh okay he can help me on that side". Once he finished with the guy, he went straight back to the original customer with the Switch. I visited this store yesterday with my sister and my mother on a mission to buy a Nintendo switch 2. Bryan was at the front counter and was such a friendly and helpful employee! I brought in my switch lite to get trade in credit towards my switch 2 and Bryan did a very thorough inspection of my console and gave me the full trade in value for it (all while being the only employee in the store handling multiple customers at once). He also let me transfer my data between consoles in the store. It was a great value for my switch 2 compared to all other retailers currently selling it. I'm so happy I went in yesterday and was helped by him! I couldn't be happier with my console and the transaction. He's a great employee and awesome at his job. He deserves a raise! My son and I have been going for years. We bought a game and returned to the store about an hour later to try to exchange. They don't accept any returns or exchanges on new games. Additionally, employee was not very polite and insulting for returning the game shortly after purchasing. Maybe try another GameStop or another retailer for games. read more

It wasn't overly crowded or busy, so it was apparent they had a good system running. They let people purchase ahead of time and then come back to pick up at 9 PM (east coast release time) and didn't close their store to allow customers to have this "early access" and although I don't get the hype around it, I was just super appreciative that the employee asked for an ID when my husband tried to use my card to purchase his game (while I waited in the car for him), I really appreciate the extra security measures taken, kudos! read more

My twelve year old son had researched buying a PS4 console with his saved money. He found what he wanted online at GameStop. I took him into the store to make his purchase. We encountered a few hiccups, but Ripley was very helpful and patient throughout the process. Ripley helped us work through a couple of issues. I'd leave less stars if I could. It's so simple to work in a store setting that has a steady pace, and allows for down time to sit and chat, or scroll on your phone. This being said, I don't plan on returning to this store as this is the second irritating visit I've had here. I thought, maybe it's possible it was an off day for a release the previous time. Upon walking in, the gentleman with the long-hair and unkempt beard, did a simple head nod. We're not friends and in another place, this is disrespectful and rude. You could just tell he hates his job of sitting in slow hours waiting for the shift to end. Maybe moral is low, maybe it's hard time find good and honest employees. I do hope that the general manager is able to see this, as your employees openly spoke while I was the only customer in the store, that your name was used frequently, paired with profanity. I doubt they would say this to your face. The person with long hair said they would have quit today, if it wasn't for the other male employee speaking about coming up short on numbers frequently and it wasn't the same as other stores. Maybe this is why. How can a sale be done if someone is so uncomfortable with the environment created by the crew. The main reason I'd like to share this is for improvement. If you'd like to quit, quit and leave that energy for yourself. Let others enjoy the time window shopping and potentially purchasing something. If you hate the manager, and the company as a whole, speak in the back and leave it there. I hope those employees find a job that makes them spread positivity, rather than what I experienced today. Also, if I was the manager or the other employees that they talked so badly about, I would hate to work with this particular crew. I'd much rather have them tell me to my face, in a tactful manner. We stopped by yesterday and purchased wwe figures that were $20 and had an extra 50% off at the register, it was a great deal. They always have good sales or discounts. I wanted to write this review because Derek was extremely on top of his game in helping me find this backpack. It was sold out on line and out of stock in this store. It showed me online that it was available in Dallas Texas, however he informed me that they had it at the Menifee GameStop. I showed up and sure enough they did have it there. From other experiences other store employees just leave it at "sorry we don't have it" and that's it but the fact that Derek actually went out of his way to help me made me feel like an actual valuable customer. Been coming to this GameStop ever since I was a kid. I stopped coming to them only because I moved away for college and one time the worker there meant to use my points to renew my power ups pro membership, but he accidentally charged it to my card and couldn't give me a refund. Decide to give them another shot and preordered Sonic Colors Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch, and Courtney said I couldn't use my 2 $5 rewards on Pre-orders. She told me to go look at the tshirts on clearance because they are on sale for $5 each so I can use my points on that before it expires by the end of august. I was thrilled and asked her before I paid are the shirts $5? She said yes it's a promo right now and after I paid, I looked at the receipt and I was actually charged $8 for each shirt and using my $5 coupons i didn't end up getting them free along with my pre orders. This was my experience today meeting Casey, the store lead, at this GameStop! I have not owned a gaming system in years and was debating which of the platforms to invest in. Casey walked me through all the pros and cons, after asking about my gaming needs!, and giving me options and suggestions. He took the time to make sure I was comfortable with my decision- which included looking for it at nearby competitors because GameStop currently was out of stock! He did not try to push me into any lesser option - even though he had available stock! Even though it was 16 minutes past closing time I was greeted by a completely friendly and seemingly unbothered gentleman (the one whom I had spoke to on the phone about 20 minutes before I arrived) he checked my ID and handed me my games through the slot in the door. My boyfriend went to go pick up a switch lite and animal crossing. He called before hand a couple of times (in his car)and got no answer from the store. He had to walk up to the store first and then call so an employee would answer. He was given the switch and game with no bag. A bag would have been nice especially considering the amount of rain and how expensive these items are (~ $300). read more

Well I am now a former GameStop customer. My son ordered a refurbished PS4 online that he saved up his own money for a while. I won't go into details but long story short, it didn't work and I've wasted hours of my time and my own money dealing with this. A product that was "guaranteed to work". My issue with this particular store is first of all, none of the employees are very friendly. Also they choose to force their customers to wear masks, even though they have the choice not to do that and masks don't even work and are actually WORSE for you! Unfortunately I had to go to the store today to return something so I wore my mask. As I was at the register, a couple entered and the employee asked if they had masks and they said no and he said that they would have to wear one to come in the store. So they told him that he just lost a customer. The employee made some lame excuse claiming that they HAVE to enforce a mask mandate and the couple told him that is not true. He was extremely rude to them and as they were leaving he said "get out!" then he turned to me and started complaining about how he has to "deal with this all day" and I told him good! I also informed him that I will no longer be doing business with GameStop. Any company that does not support FREEDOM OF CHOICE does not deserve our business! I just came in for Spider-Man. Literally nothing else. Why does it take 5-7 minutes to get someone through the line to buy one single game? I put the game down, you tell me the price, I pay you, you give me change/wait for my transaction to approve. It is that simple. i ordered a game here and at my expense, i ordered the wrong game. i gave them a call and they told me to drive all the way back for the refund, i let them know they'd be seeing me in the next 20 minutes. when i got here, to my surprise the store clerks have shut down the store an hour early. i'm not mad they shut it down early, im mad they told me to drive all the way back just to shut down the store. if you're going to shut the store down early, it's best to tell your customers. i'm getting my refund tomorrow morning and i'm never coming back to this establishment. hire better customer service, or at least hire someone who keeps your establishment open at the times it's advertised open. very upset, time and money now wasted. read more

Absolutely the worse customer service I ever experienced. I definitely will not shop at this location again which means Best Buy & Walmart will be getting our business in the future. Absolutely ridiculous for the store employees tell me I was unable to purchase a game for my son because he didn't look like me, are you kidding me! I have been shopping at this location for over five years now with the same kids, never once have I been carded or my kids of been carded for anyvideo game, not once in five years! I made an account just to share my experience with this place. Just throwing that in there. There was about 3 people in the store when I went (including me) and it took around 15 minutes to get someone to finally help me. I asked about a game that I wanted to buy and they said that they were currently out of stock but that they could get it shipped from another location. I thought to myself: Awesome! The employee said it would take about 2 days I call 3 days later after not receiving any information that my game had arrived to be told that it's currently in process and they'd call me as soon as it arrived. Okay cool. No sweat, I thought. 2 WEEKS after not recieving the game I called again and was told that it had been shipped to incorrect locations MULTIPLE TIMES. Not only did I not receive a phone call notifying me of this (I left my cell phone number with them multiple times asking them nicely to call me regarding any information) but the fact that it's 3 weeks later and they still do not have the game is just shocking And may I add that each time I called, it was if I was asking them to walk 20 miles in the rain without shoes to hand deliver it to me without compensation. SO MUCH ATTITUDE FROM THE EMPLOYEES. 2 day expected deliver time turning into 3 weeks+ without any apparent effort from them to treat me with courtesy... I mean really, how hard is it?? Bought my son a brand new game opened it up on christmas and didn't work my husband bought the warranty and went in to return it the very next day with my 6 year old son, the manager Michael was incredibly RUDE! GameStop in general is a scam because they give you nothing for your trade ins then turn around to sell them for ten times the amount they gave you for them. With this particular store my biggest problem is the consoles they sell used are the biggest pieces of crap.
