Some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced, the girl behind the counter with the curly pony tail and the glasses seemed wholly uninterested in helping me find what I was looking for she just pointed and said it's there somewhere just look for it, I was looking for about 15 minute and couldn't find it and left because her attitude was horrible and I couldn't stand being there another minute. AWFUL EMPLOYEE AND SERVICE. My sister and I stopped by for the Pokemon promotion that was going on. Basically, you get a free Pokemon plushy with a purchase of a set of Pokemon trading cards (~$4). It was all over Twitter and everyone was capable of getting their hands on it. Many of the GameStop employees weren't aware of it, but Twitter assured that it should work after scanning everything. After calling every Gamestop in town and asking whether they had any left, this location said they did which we were ecstatic about! We go in and grab the LAST PIKACHU PLUSHY and a set of Pokemon trading cards. There was only 1 guy working today and the line was getting super long. After finally making it to the cashier, the guy tells us that we have to buy at least $15 worth of Pokemon trading cards in order to get the free plushy. We told him that after he scanned everything, the promotion should work (and we should only have to pay for the trading cards). He REFUSED TO SCAN ANYTHING and said that there is a "glitch" and that the promotion we're talking about doesn't work. WHAT THE FUCK? BRO DIDN'T EVEN SCAN ANYTHING AND CLAIMS THERE'S A "GLITCH"? IF HE SCANNED THE ITEMS, WE'RE CERTAIN THAT THE PROMOTION WOULD HOLD. CLEARLY THE GUY EITHER ENJOYS RUINING PEOPLES' DAY OR HE WANTED IT FOR HIMSELF. THE FRUSTRATING PART IS THAT HE DIDN'T SCAN ANYTHING AT ALL. WE WOULDN'T BE UPSET IF HE SCANNED THE ITEMS AND THERE WAS NO PROMOTION BECAUSE AT LEAST HE TRIED, BUT HE DIDN'T. We thought this was an awesome GS store!! But we purchased a XBOX One controller on 26 Mar, 31 days ago, and about a week ago the RB stuck in place and no longer functions. My husband took it back today for the malfunctioning bumper and the response that he was given was " the warranty expired yesterday, we can't help you. Go to Microsoft online and use the warranty" No other help was offered! No alternative solutions for a stuck RB....NOTHING. They also looked at my husband in a stuck up aloof manner when they asked if he still had the receipt and packaging and he indicated "no". He expressed that we used our club card for the purchase and they could care less about his broken product. Unsatisfactory service from all except the associate who calls everyone "my dude", who was not there. They need more of him. read more

The manager told me the Pro membership would be discounted and she would tAke $5 off . I thought she was charging my sons video game and she grabbed hiS gift card and charged the membership . I asked for a refund as I thought my sons card had enough for his game but I did not realize she was using the gift card for the mrnership only . She said she could not refund . Money lost and down the drain . She did not seem to care . She said those were the policies for the gift card but she never mentioned anything at all . I'm sure she got her commission on memberships . Called customer service , filled out a survey for customer service and online for the receipt . No one has contacted me . Horrible ! DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN SHOP HERE WITHOUT YOUR CLOSE SUPERVISION!! If not for one of the reps, Phil, I would have given less than 3 stars, probably 1. If Phil was the only rep I ever dealt with, I would give the store 5 stars. Other than this one rep, we almost always have issues when shopping at this store. My 13 year old recently returned a game and the rep shorted him $10. The rep was new and not trying to cheat him, but if not for Phil standing nearby, he would have been shorted. Tonight my son tried to straight exchange a new game that was malfunctioning and was told that he would have to purchase a new one. Unfortunately, Phil was not present to right this wrong. My 13 year old earns and uses his own money to buy these games, so seeing the treatment that he receives and wondering how much worse it would be if I weren't present, does not make for a professional experience. read more

I literally hate this place. The several times I have been here it has taken 30+ mins to check out 4 people. The service is useless, shelves sloppy, everything you do here takes so much time to get done you go into a trance waiting, and stock is limited. Even the name "Gamestop" induces a Freudian response of repulse and trauma. I was desperate, went Saturday morning at 10am. Closed. Opens at 10am but its not open. Wait 5 mins and leave. People were inside and saw us customers trying the door - could not care less. I felt like an unwanted zombie starring through the door. So here is what happens when a company operates this way: I take my credit card, which I was willing to spend around $1100, and go home, log into Amazon.com, and buy what I need at 5% - 20% less and will get it the next day (Monday) at my home. My son LOVES coming here! Today, we arrived to celebrate my son's 12th birthday! With cash in hand, he proceeded to pick up the new Pokemon X game title. When we were being helped at the counter, the cashier (Stacey) was very personable and helpful! She talked about the game (Pokemon X versus Pokemon Y) as well as asked us about our interest in the new Zelda game (Link Between Two Worlds). We paid for the Pokemon X game as well as put $5 down for the Zelda game that guaranteed that come the end of November, he'll have that title too! Stacey provided EXCELLENT service! She mentioned that my son had over 46,000 points! And she also gave my son a Pokemon poster! How cool!? Can't wait to go back for more gaming stuff!! read more

I popped in for a quick stroll about the other day, and felt like a dinosaur. Literally every console, game, accessory, and t shirt was foreign to me. I can remember when they used to have the older games on sale for a dollar or two, but nothing like that anymore. Thinking about it now, I feel as though all the 'old' games are for consoles far newer than the ones I have. I wanted to see some old PS2 games and accessories. The place was tidy, and the staff was friendly enough. Can't really slight them for not having super old stuff, I guess this is just another way for me to come to terms with aging haha. Maybe one day, I'll upgrade to a 'relevant' system and be able to shop here, it just wasn't in the cards that day. read more

Friendly, attentive staff, and very willing to help. If they don't have a game in stock they check the Gamestop inside the mall or other close locations to see if they have them. Never had any problems with them, it can get messy at times, and you might have to wait a little in line to get rung up but otherwise, it's not bad! read more

I went to the GameStop in the plaza of world market not the Temecula mall and had the worst experience. Tiffany who's suppose to be a manager was very unprofessional. I went in to return a helmet I paid Debit on my card with. I was next in line and noticed a long line behind me so I knew I was being rushed. Toffany stated that anything over 50$ has to go back onto your card which is not true. I had about 4 other GameStop's within and out of the area tell me that's not true and that debit is the same as cash. So anyways Tiffany made me run back to my car and grab the card I paid with because she refused to take my item without the card. Let me mind you she didn't even offer me a gift card and I was trying to buy a different helmet in which she threw me attitude and told me there is none. After I grabbed my card she took it and I DID NOT put in my pin seeing as it's my debit bank card. I noticed on the receipt it said Chip: failed. I called Tiffany back to let her know my item was not refunded correctly to my card and she argued with me insisting she did it right and I don't have to put in my pin. I went to 2 other GameStop's and showed them my receipt and they agreed she didn't sufficiently refund my item. I called Tiffany back in which she belittled other GameStop employees calling them inexperienced and said hey lied to me. She racially profiled me and told me I come in all the time and she is the one who always helps me which is not true. She told me in 24 hours I would have a refund and I DO NOT. I called my bank and they said nothing is refunded or pending a refund and they would see it. I am now out $80 and a Christmas gift for my son. Today the district manager is suppose to be calling me. I called this location to try and find a streetfighter collectible that I was looking for, and the girl on the phone was extremely nice and pleasant and patient and spent about five minutes until she actually told me where I could go to get one, which was another local game stop. Last night I went to get the new Nintendo switch and they had provided free coffee and cookies and kept us updated while we waited 8 hours for the midnight release. You will not believe what kind of customer service I got today at this store. The guy threw the game and my receipt at me. What happened was that I went to the premiere of Grand Theft Auto V at midnight to get my pre ordered game. I paid the rest of the game at this store and they reffered me to the store at the mall to pick up the game. I went to the mall, and I saw about 500 people were waiting in line, and I said Heck NO. i was sick, i had a headache and I decided to get the game in the morning. Came around 10:30 am today at the mall and the guy telling me that I could not pick up the game over there because i reserved it at the other store. I got mad because I was reffered back and forth, so I told the guy that they better have my game at the other store. I went to this store, and I guess the guy already received a call from the store at the mall, and was ready to give me a hard time. I showed him the receipt, and he started to open his mouth telling nonsense. I told him that I pre ordered it, I paid for it in full, I just wanted my game. And he threw the game and the receipt at me. I was shock with that kind of customer service treatment, I took the game and threw the receipt back at him. I will never ever come back to game stop ever again. I'd never been thrown stuff that I paid at me before. I guess because I am Asian it makes it right for him to do that. read more

Had never been to this GameStop in my life and now realize why that is. Tried selling my PS3 as I got a PS4 for Christmas and was met with upright discrimination. The girl with short hair and purple streaks literally treated me like I was a criminal. Nothing was wrong the PS3 but I also didn't know all the gaming lingo. Apparently you needed to, as this girl acted like I was either a criminal or incompetent to sell a PS3. Every question was met with disgust and angst. After a very degrading interaction, the price to sell a PS3 was $24. A quick eBay search showed the lowest price with 120gb (which I had), was $60. Sorry, but I'm never giving GameStop my money. Your pretentious employee will be the sole reason why I will tell everyone never to go there. Going to contact corporate as we speak. read more

this isn't so much about the store itself because its just a game store that everyone knows and inside of the mall. who doesnt love game stop, right? haha anyways; my boyfriend and I always go in and look and so before we went to go eat somewhere he suggested we go in game stop first. we went in and looked for a little and one of the employees complimented me on my pegasheen (pegasus pusheen) keychain on my purse and ofc I said thank you and then carried on; but he kept talking and said he had a "giant" Pusheen in the store, so obviously I asked him where and he started to walk away so I followed; he goes behind the counter and opens up one of the draws and pulls out a regular sized pusheen stuffie and since me being a huge fan I was still delighted but like let down since he said it was giant lol he then went on and on about this collection he saw and that he got a pusheen for his girlfriend or wife (I can't remember which one he said) and something else for their anniversary. the conversation was uplifting at first and then halfway through he kept staring at my boobs; as soon as I notice I instantly wanted the convo to end and my mood changed to "really dood?" my bf was right there too! and he has a gf! and was just talking about her! shame on u; I'm 17 years old and he was definitely a lot older than me, probably near 30s bitch disgusting read more

Went to this location to pick up one of the years most anticipated releases, that being the new Elder Scrolls game. I was there shortly after they opened for the day and the line was huge and although well mapped out on the floor with tape still took a long while to get through. I waited patiently for my turn at the counter which took a total of 20 minutes while people piled out of the store with copies of the game I wanted for their xbox and ps3's and when it was finally my turn to get the game I have been waiting for for a long time I was told that they only had enough copies of the game for pc to cover their preorders and that I was out of luck. 20 minutes of my time wasted for nothing. A store this big has no excuse to not have copies of a game that is expected to be so popular on hand for people that want to purchase it. Not everyone has free time to come in and preorder games and its a horrible business model to cater only to those that do. In the end I went to target and picked up my game without having to wait in a line let alone one that took 20 minutes. Never again Gamestop. Never again read more

Well, this store is amazing. I'm a complete dolt when it comes to video games and how the whole thing works but much of my time is spent reviewing games online and getting the advice of their always attentive staff. I know they will always give me information and go out of their way to find what I am looking for. Always the best deals but the reason I shop there is because they CARE!
