I must admit, I was a little annoyed with this location. I purchased a game and stated which system I had, even with doing so, they still recommended incorrectly. Some of the newer games for XBox are no longer compatible w/ the One, and must be upgraded to the X/S. I mentioned the system I had, prior to them getting it for me. With their help, I purchased one of my favorite games, made it home and prepped for a game night, just to find out it wasn't compatible and would not load. When I called and spoke to someone about this, they said some games will downgrade so they're compatible w/ the One. This game, however, was not. To make an assumption, and to not forewarn me of the possibilities, is not acceptable. The next time I visit, I'll make sure I'm fully versed prior to walking in. read more

I enjoy this location, as. I like GameStop in general. The general manager is absolutely very considerate and kind, the associates are so knowledgeable except for Sam. The guy with the glasses goodness I forgot his name he has darkish hair, he is so sweet and knowledgeable of the variety of games I talk to him about considering different consoles. Honestly he should be the manager not Sam. Sam was not knowledgeable of things and was not convincing or more of helping unravel my needs as a customer. He was the reason I did not buy my Nintendo switch at this location. Drove me out of the store but coming back, the store manager was incredible and the other main associate was top notch so I come back now mostly because of their great attitudes and they are knowledgeable and acknowledge when I'm in the store. Would give it zero stars. Worst customer service I have ever had. Young gentleman named Brently seriously pressured me into renewing an account I had with them. After I declined many times he then told me if I did not purchase the warranty on the controller I was buying as a gift I would be letting my friend down. After declining a few more times and asking him to "just ring up the remotes" he got upset and walked away from the transaction without giving me a receipt. I then had to take it upon myself to operate the computer and give myself the receipt as I had already paid. Worst customer service I have ever had with aggressive methods to add additional charges to my purchase. Brently was very rude and when I asked for his name he simply removed his name tag and shoved it in my face. Wouldn't recommend! read more

I've been to several different Gamestops and the night crew at this location is TERRIBLE. They have never answered any of my phone calls. I pre-ordered a game and I clearly stated "Ps4 copy" and the next day when I came to pick it up, THEY ONLY HAD A PS5 COPY AVAILABLE BECAUSE HE MISHEARD ME. And I told him I said PS4 and he said he thought he heard PS5 and didn't even double check with me, so I couldn't get my game. Unbelievable. read more

I shop here quite a bit and also shop at the Southlake gamestop location and the staff is bar-none super cool. Both are class act locations versus the Davis location in NRH which I cannot give them even one star. It would be in the negatives, one star is too generous for that location. I recently bought a med size Cuphead exclusive Funko collectible box shirt. I also bought the Rick and Morty edition too. I washed the Rick and Morty med size one and shrunk to where a large suited me. I had the med Cuphead collectible box shirt still sealed never opened. I knew the Euless location did not have them and Southlake had one size which was on XL and I bought the last large one at Southlake. I was hoping they had another large to exchange out but they did not. So after going to several locations including Mills location, I found one online at a store nearby in NRH- the Davis Towne Sq location. Well the employee said I needed a receipt which I did not have for even an exchange which is what I wanted not a refund. He even said no record of applied points on my pro member account on the purchase. After refusing to exchange, I went back to Euless and store mgr Bennett assisted me in giving me store credit and would have let me exchange it out for a large one Cuphead if they have one but they did not. Bennett's professionalism and excellent customer service shows why I will only go to his store and Southlake location - pretty cool people at that store too. I actually bought some more stuff too. It is the principle it is only a 22 dollar shirt and to fuss over an exchange was not good customer service at all especially a customer who has bought quite bit of merchandise from GameStop. I also sent an email to customer service Gamestop on this on how mgr Bennett assisted and the issue at hand but was resolved by Bennett. The Davis location in NRH could use a little bit more customer service training on how to resolve customer issues maybe cs training from Bennett or any staff from Glade Euless location or Southlake because the Davis location sure needs it! read more

I was kind of stunned by this Gamestop. Gamestops at their best are all essentially the same thing: Some are older than others, some stores used to be EB Games or FuncoLand (remember those?), but this place? This place has a full collectibles store attached to it. A friend of mine kept going on about this place, so when he took me, I didn't know what to expect. They are full of high-end collectibles. Full-size statues of T-800s and Darth Vaders, Funko figures, costume stuff.... Again, I've never seen a Gamestop like this, so it was really surprising to see one of these stores packed with so much stuff. Even the gaming side was well stocked, clean, and organized. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. How I managed to walk out of that store without buying a remote controlled BB-8 is something short of a miracle. I'm guessing this has been a recent change judging by previous reviews, but it was well worth the semi-epic drive out there, and worth a look for fans of video gaming... and pretty much everything else. I hope this becomes a trend for other Gamestops elsewhere. read more

This gamestop location is also the BUYMYTRONICS.COM location for you to turn in Laptops and such. I currently reside in NYC, I sent off a Laptop, no password it was completely wiped. I have done this before with other sites, I know that the laptop needs to be wiped and does not have a password. They stated that there was a password and they would give me about 20% of their original price. When this was sent it was in the original box! It did not have a password on it 2 of us checked. It had been wiped clean! I had them send it back, there was a password on the laptop. It had only been touched by UPS in the original box and by the folks here. Someone there I am sure it was an accident added a password. They are ripoffs.. I am sure they do this to many folks, what are you supposed to do at that point??!! CS was a horrid experience! Use another service trust me! They are horrible to deal with! Of course they did not send back the original box it came in which makes it harder to sell to another person! read more

Normally Gamestop is a great experience for me but on this one particular day I found myself in Gamestop looking for used copy's of Farming Simulator 15 and maybe the box set for Everybody Loves Raymond. Decent prices, a surprising array of memorabilia given its small size. You can find Dr. Who and Walking Dead stuff here, not just Marvel and DCU toys, shirts and games. It rivals a comic shop's selection in that regard. Game selection itself is decent. read more

I have had trouble with GameStop stores before and it got to the point where I never wanted to return. When our PS3 decided to start to say Goodbye we started searching and while shopping for groceries we saw a sign for a sale. After about a week discussing things with my husband and talking to an employee I was ready to sell ours and get a new one. My wife and I were there for the Halo 5 party. It was a great experience. Went here cause my son wanted a game, bought 1 and came home, only 2 find out that they forgot to give me the 2nd disc. Called them up and was told 2 come get it, sorry..couldn't download the dlc that i payed extra for and have to pay to go online, wish i would have been told that from the get go....got a refund and got him a diffrent game, what did i get for the inconvenience, nothing!!was very disappointed with the customer service, don't know if I'll be back here, may just resort to online game shopping.. read more

Anyway, I come in to purchase a few Xbox 360 chargers, only to get home and find out one of the battery packs has a defect. I return to make an exchange and took home another of the same product... unfortunately BOTH of these battery packs were broken. I had recently purchased a pre-owned game for my Xbox and when I got home it would not install. I tried to restart the download at least 10 times. So I then called GameStop and told what happened and the guy I talked to was very kind and helpful. He told me I could come back anytime and swap it out for a different copy.
