We came in after given a Wii console and remote and needed a couple things for it to work, I called before to ask if they had the stuff, and when I walked in they already had it at the counter. Horrible service. Called today and was told by daunte that his manager said I could not return a controller that I bought within the 90 day return policy. I don't have the receipt but have proof of purchase on bank statement showing the date and amount for the controller. I did not want my money back, just a simple swap of controller. I was also told that they could not look up the information in their system. Which to me is horrible customer service. Will not be doing any business ever again with this franchise. Has to be the least friendly place I've ever been to. Brought in some very rare games to sell, girl (?) behind the counter acted like I was wasting their time. When testing the cartridges she tried to use a 3rd party system (which many games won't work on) and when they didn't work I suggested an original system. She made a snarky comment about it "not mattering" but did it anyway...and of course, the cartridges worked. I didn't sell because I was offered $20 for a very rare title that regularly sells for $150. In the subsequent times I've been in here to purchase the odd movie, my questions are met with brusque, uncaring answers. I go to Gamestop now. They're a block away and very friendly. read more

I am in complete disbelief of all the horrible reviews that people have posted about this place. I am a regular customer here -- I love to play older games for systems like Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube, Wii, etc. I have bought dozens of games from this location and have never once had a game that did not work properly. And if anything you buy from them doesn't work, they DO give you your full money back, unlike what some of these reviews are saying. You just have to return it within the window of time that they clearly explain when you purchase. If you don't even test the product until after the return window time, that's your fault. The only negative thing anyone has said about this place that I agree with is that they won't give you much money for games (at least older ones). If you're selling your old games, and you don't mind the extra effort, you'll definitely make more by selling them on Facebook Marketplace or something. If you prefer ease and convenience, and you just want to get rid of them, Game X Change is great for that! That being said, if you are looking to BUY and PLAY video games that aren't brand new, I can not think of a better place than Game X Change! Whoever said their selection is small, that is complete nonsense! They have almost any video game you've ever heard of for most major systems, I've never gone in there and they didn't the exact game that I was looking for, and I've never had to spend more than $12 for the game I wanted. On top of that, the staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have asked them to suggest games to me based on other games I've played, genres I like, etc., and they have made amazing recommendations that are now among my favorite games. This is the first online review I've ever written for anything, I normally don't care to take the time, but when I saw the horrible reviews with BLATANTLY FALSE negative comments about this store that I love, I was completely flabbergasted and had to share the truth. If you want to make the most money you can off of your old games, don't sell them to Game X Change, or any game store, they won't give you much, that's just common sense. It's just like when you take your old clothes to a secondhand clothing store. If you want to the widest selection of the NEWEST games, then sure, go to GameStop. Don't buy any electronics from this location. They do not work they tell you that if they don't work they will allow returns BUT they will NOT give you your money back or even credit for it. They will only offer to buy it back for way less than what you paid for. Manager will not even bother to talk to you. Not good at customer service. I've stopped by this location a few times since it opened. It's a really nice little store that usually seems busy. Normally I'm the type of gamer who likes to buy products when they're new. But I have a lot of old favorites and these folks have very competitive prices for used games. And they also have a pretty decent selection. Also have to mention the staff. They people who work in this store are always nice and friendly and try to make you feel very welcome. I like that a lot and appreciate the effort. :) read more

Really hated to give them one star, but yelp won't let you do zeros. Went in there to sell five movies and five games and they offered me pennies on the dollar. I probably wasted more gas money driving the 1 mile from my apartment complex then they were willing to offer. Absolutely ridiculous. Went to Half Price Books and sold the items for a fair price. Between GameStop, half-price books and common sense I'm not sure how this place is still in business. read more

So I've been here 3 times with my brother first time was with the intentions of buying some rechargeable battery packs for my old X Box, but I saw how they hassle my brother with a return of some hardware he bought for his PS2, so I decided not to buy them, the second time was not a great experience again, mostly because of there return policy again. I get they are in the resale business so they can't really give refunds on used electronics but they can have a better loyalty program especially for returning customers. This last time I went I saw they gotten a lot better at warning people about common problems with the game or hardware before purchasing. That's smart, it covers your bases kinda like "we told you before you bought it". My brother still comes here because they do have a massive collection of old accessories for older games. I gave 3 stars because I've noticed they are trying to offer better customer service. read more

They had an Xbox one headset adapter new that was absurdly priced used on amazon and not sold in stores like game stop and wal mart. I stopped by without much hope of finding it and behold, it was hanging behind the counter! Not only that, but it was actually reasonably priced. Staff was helpful and the place looked interesting.
