I am proud to call this my home store, I've never had an issue every time I come in. I'm always greeted with a hello welcome to GameStop and I can always find what I need. Mario, Nathan, and the crew a really good people. Really down to earth and if there is down time always willing to talk gaming. No matter who has helped me they have always gone above and beyond. It was March when me and my Ma went to buy a new controller for my system and I asked Michael if I can put down money for new Pokémon games coming out towards the fall and Michael argued with both me and my mom and that there was no new Pokémon games coming out For my other games system Nintendo 3DS XL and It was to my dismay that I couldn't get what I always get every year for the past 5+ years and today Because of what he argues with me and told me that no new Pokémon games were coming out I decided to sell my game system and games but that was before I saw with my own eyes that I was right they are coming out but I was too late I never want to come back here to the store ever again because of Michael i've been going to the store for 10+ years. It was a better place for everyone's experience when they felt welcomed by Jonathan an old young manager. He will be always missed. And today when I was selling my belongings to Michael seen the future Pokémon games coming out behind him I heard him what the other customers him trying to sell him the Pokémon games I asked him about but he wouldn't sell it to me. GameStop - Toy Stores Near Me - Downey, California

I was looking for deals on the store when i saw CALL OF DUTY INFINITE WARFARE for 9.99 with the call of duty modern warfare remastered bundle used. I asked JENNIFER the store emplyee behind the register if both games were included in the disc. She very positively said yes. I was very exited and bought the game. When i got home i saw that the disc only contained one game and the other was a digital download which of course it was redeemed. I bought it on Thursday and i said to my self its ok ill take back next thursday i could bring it back within 7 days but no they told me it was technically 8 days and i coulnt get credit for it. Its not the money, its makes me mad that people like JENNIFER dont know what they are selling. But i should've known better. Its GAMESTOP. I SHOULDVE EXPECT IT. read more

Bought a brand new Xbox 1 S about a month ago and attached was a 6 month Xbox live subscription. So I go to enter it and says it was not activated so I go into the store and tell them and they still tried to charge me the $40 for the Xbox live subscription say "it was a promotional deal that when you bought the Xbox they would take $10 off the subscription card" 1. They did not mention that, at the time of purchase 2. Why would they attach it straight to the box if you're still gonna have to pay for it 3. Even if I would have said no at the time of purchase, why would they let me go home with a blank/non activated Xbox live subscription read more

Parking sucks during holidays. VERY loud, too and the lines can get LOOONNNGGG. But the staff is VERY friendly.

Dion IS AMAZING....I know game stop is a bit pricy but we buy all of our games from all game stop locations.

Two days before Christmas and the staff was very busy, but were still very helpful and provided excellent customer service. We were promptly greeted on the sales floor. The associate was very helpful and was able to direct us to the right area of the store. Once at the register we were checked out by two associates, who assured us we were buying a great game for our new ps3. Despite the busy time of year , they were also able to find our old and out of date GameStop rewards program. Keep up the good work! read more

Don't ever try to sell your Xbox or PlayStation here. They are cheap and make money of your system. $16 bucks for not even a major damage on the controller but yet they want to make money on it B.S . Honestly guys, go support any other business rather than GameStop. These guys will screw you through and through. I purchased a Nintendo switch from here, only to realize one joycon was defective. Upon trying to return the device for one that works properly, I was told I'd have to use the thirty dollar warranty I purchased for the system to replace the defective joycon?!?! How is that right? The customer has to pay more for a defective product. The employees are unwilling to work with the customer in anyway, continuously referring to the "store policy" which seems to be devised in a way that screws the customer any which way it can. I know GS has a bad rep when it comes to trade-ins but I figured a big purchase would be safe with them, as they've been around for quite some time. This is my last skirmish with these guys. I neglected to mention how poorly the employees handled the whole ordeal, refusing to assist me when they sensed my frustration. I wish I could attach the video of the employee reading the store policy which states any opened product which is defective can be returned within thirty days. It's been a week since my purchase, yet they won't honor their own store policy. I'm thoroughly let down. As a college kid, I hold off on large purchases like a switch. It hurts that, because of GameStop, I'll be tightening my belt on top of not even being able to properly play my switch. read more

I have been to different gamestops since movig to Lynwood. This is by far the best of them all, the staff's knowledge is oustanding, the store is clean and organized, they will go out of their way to help you and abide to the rules. They know me by name now and they always have a smile when I get there, I have a gamestop about 5 minutes from my home but I rather drive the extra 10 minutes and go to this one, trust me you will not regreat it. Official and Complete Review: This GameStop is easily one of my favorite GameStop's ever! Customer service is great, when I ask a question they usually have an answer, and have never had a problem with this GameStop. However, you are probably wondering why I didn't give it 5/5. The reason is like all GameStop's they try to push stuff on you while your at the cash register. I just want to buy my game and leave. I don't like it when the try to sell you even more stuff at the cash register. I understand it's their job to do it, but I think GameStop as a whole should try to say these things in a more subtle way, or just let the signs do all the talking. For example, if you are buying a new game, they will try to push the used copy on you. It's true you save money, however the developers (the people who created the game) don't get any money off of a used game. GameStop, who hasn't invested anytime in developing a game, gets all the profits off of the used game. Can you imagine how unfair it is when you have invested all your time and sleep into making a game and then they take all you well earned money away from you? It sucks. But nevertheless GameStop keeps on trying to suck all the money out of your pocket. (Don't get me wrong I think used games are great, but only after the game has been discontinued from production.) After that little nuisance, this GameStop is fantastic and don't see any reason why you should avoid this GameStop. read more

DO NOT EVER BUY A PS4. It doesnt not work. It glitches all the time. Its is not worth 500 bucks. Buy an XBox One. It has online. I bought playstation plus and it won't let me sign in even though i spent 50 bucks for one year of online. You can not change your username and if your under 18, you have to set up to accounts every time just to play online. It also glitched me so my account somehow went to another profile.
