I went to this GameStop to return some various old Xbox controllers and games and the service was wonderful. They were so helpful and very insightful on what I was returning and how to maximize my dollar. Especially the Manager, he was the nicest guy and was insanely helpful. Best customer service I've ever seen! If I ever need to buy more games or anything from a GameStop it will be exclusively this store. 10/10 highly recommend! read more

I don't blame the employee, quite, but I'm sick of being badgered to, basically, "insure" games when buying them. I've been playing for around 30 years and I've never had a cartridge fail. I can play Pokemon Red on my Gameboy as easily as I did when it came out. Also, if you don't trust the product you are selling then why are you selling it? I get it's because a negligible amount of customers are using the GPG they pay for. But, like, be more targeted about it. If someone seems to be buying for a child or has a young one with them, I can maybe get it. Conversely, I'm buying for me and don't appreciate the added time in my day while the employee suggests a two-year plan(?! most players drop off a couple months into most titles). Also? Memberships for aren't worth it for some, stop after a decline. Getting weirdly political about it was weird (((not everything is made in China...))) Also, also (sorry), hated how the person in line before me walked away empty handed as the employee said the item was marked wrong then they didn't honor the marked price. Terrible customer service I ordered online to pick up. The store was supposed to be open at 12. The gentlemen meandered into the store at close to 1230. And even as I was standing outside as a customer who's been waiting for quite some time he didn't even give me the courtesy to say good morning or say, I'll be there in one second or anything else to try to defuse his old malfeasance of not opening up the store on time. I called this location prior to going to see if they have a certain game for my nephew. I was told that they had the game. After waiting over 10 minutes I was then told they don't have the game and I could go to another location. I will just order his games online going forward. read more

So, both stars are for the staff. They were besieged by irritated customers who were standing in line to get the Nintendo new 3DS. They had 6 to 8 boxes in their display and were telling people that they didn't have it. When questioned they told us that corporate management wanted them left to draw customers in. I hate those kind of ploys. That fits right in there with how Nintendo is treating their loyal fans. How do you run out of stock in your second year of a product? Creating a false shortage is unfair and reminiscent of the buyer beware era. All of that aside, the staff maintained their cool while being hammered by customer after customer. They were polite and moved as fast as they could to help everyone in a timely manner. I hope game stop changes these practices before they go the way of Babbage's and the like. read more
