I bought an Xbox system from this location. I don't usually buy extended warranties on things, but…read moreI did buy it on the Xbox. Less than 3 weeks after buying the system, the controller that came with it had a problem. The store tested the controller and confirmed that it had severe stick drift. I was told that the extended warranty is only for the console, and that my only option was to swap out the entire console for a new one, which would come with a new controller. By doing so, this would then void the extended warranty that I have bought less than three weeks prior. After being told repeatedly that they can't just swap out the controller, the manager said that she would swap it only if I buy an extended warranty on the new controller. This shows that it can be swapped, but they would not do it unless they can pad their extended warranty numbers and make me pay more. Again, this was less than 3 weeks after purchase. I called the 800 number and they said that the district manager would reach out to me in a few days. It has been over a week and I have heard nothing. I can't say that I am surprised. What a ripoff. Buyer beware.

I blame myself for not doing research in the first place. I saw "Great Book Deals" rated as 4 stars…read moreby Abebooks and I jumped the gun because the deal was too good to pass up. My credit card was charged instantly and Abebooks informed me the books were shipped the next day. I received no confirmation of that. I called the company and they told me the books were still being processed. Needless to say, I was skeptical and I decided to do my research on the web and I came across this Yelp page. My head practically exploded and my heart sank thinking I lost such a large sum of money. I followed up two days later and they told me the book set would be shipped by the end of the day. I received no confirmation. I called the company the following day and the lady on the other end told me, "We don't have a shipping number for you right now because we use a 3rd party carrier, but you will have a number once the books get to your local post office." Oh. I wasn't sure how to respond. A few days passed and Abebooks finally sent me a confirmation email. The shipping number was to the DHL shipping company from what I saw, it was 4 days after 'Great Book Deals' sent them a receipt informing them that they should be expecting a package from them soon. I called up 'GBD' again asking them what the deal was. They told me, the books are shipping via ANOTHER carrier before reaching DHL before reaching my local post office. I was fuming. This had to be a joke. And I told Melissa, I believe that was her name, that when you look up her company's name, there's a 1-star rating everywhere. Yet, Abebooks gave them 4 stars - I will not be shopping from Abebooks ever again. She responded with, "Those are the 4-stars our company rightfully deserves." Excuse me miss, but it's been two weeks and my books were nowhere to be found and you were shipping something from Chicago, Il. to NY. That is outrageous. I ordered packages from overseas and received them in 4 days time, and two of those days were weekend dates! Yet, your company can't seem to provide me a working tracking number one and half weeks into the order date. I know I followed up with this company a lot but can you blame me? Given its history, I should have caught a flight down to their headquarters and pick up my books on the spot. The only reason I'm giving this company 2-stars is because my package actually made it to me. The package itself was practically opened and broken but, fortunately, I was a lucky customer who actually received my package. How silly is it that I have to give a company credit for getting its package to me. Let this be a warning, don't be tricked by the ratings on Amazon and Abebooks. This company is irresponsible, to say the least. Don't waste your time. Pay the extra bucks and order books elsewhere.

The store is like your typical GameStop store. They sell new, used and or refurbished games and consoles. Please note that if you purchase a game, you can return it to any GameStop store. However, if you purchase a used game console here, you must return it to the SAME store where you purchased it. No exceptions. The staff here are friendly. Came here on a weekend and the staff were very helpful. I purchased a pre-owned system and later decided not to keep it. I returned it to the same store for a refund. The staff was helpful and understood that no all gaming systems are made for everyone. The parking lot has tons of free parking and located in a shopping center with FedEx. Decent shop. Has tons of games from XBOX to PlayStation to Nintendo. You can also go online and put a hold on a particular item and just pick up at store later on. Overall, decent place if you are in need of new / used games.
