I ordered a book from Amazon and found out it was from a third party vendor - Super Book Deals. After 18 days the item has not arrived. They take your money right away but do not deliver. I saw on the Better Business Bureau website that they have a lot of complaints of the same nature. I asked Amazon to take this vendor off of their site. They refused. Amazon should not be able to advertise a produce, take your money, then wash their hands of it when it doesn't arrive - because it's a third party vendor. Ordered via Abebooks.com. According to the tracking it was stuck in transit for weeks. Annoying because when it was shipped asap I thought the manga I ordered for my son would be here quicker, but it was stuck in another city for weeks. It arrived around the time frame given. "Perfect Condition" came with a bent cover. Whatever, it's going to an 8 year old who was eager to have the next book in the series we cannot find in English ANYWHERE so not really a deal breaker. What was a deal-breaker was that it was in the wrong language. The manga was in German. There was nothing to notate that this was in German. English site, English description, English title, etc. I'm initiating a refund on AbeBooks, but it looks like I will have to pay for shipping back. Waiting to hear if they'll give me the shipping cost or if I'll be out the initial cost and shipping cost back. Very disappointed. read more

This company advertised the ability to ship 2 books, before a certain date, which I needed for class. When I had yet to receive notice of shipment with 7 days to go on the date they claimed, I reached out. They did not respond. Then, I got a shipment notice AFTER the date they were to be delivered! I contacted them immediately and said I no longer needed them since they did not deliver them by the promised date. After 7 emails back & forth, they finally said to just "cross out your name & address, right return to sender, and mail them back". I did so. Weeks go by, no response or refund. I contact them, they claim they didn't get the return and what was the tracking #. Tracking #?!?! I sent them back AS REQUESTED! They then said wait. I waited. 2 more weeks go by, I check in, and get a canned response about not receiving my order? I tell them to read our entire email thread. They claim they don't have access to it. I reply with ALL the prior emails. The final response? We don't accept returns after 30 days. AVOID THIS COMPANY! I ordered my book Feb 26th. They say they shipped it Mar 3rd, but it still hasn't even reached USPS. The phone number is not on their website and they did not send a tracking number when it was shipped. I only got the USPS tracking number by calling a few phone numbers I found published by people complaining about the company online. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOU'RE MONEY!! You'll order your book and receive it in 3 months. Their customer service is despicable when they actually do respond to your questions, but most of the time you'll receive no response. My book had not been shipped 10 days after I placed the order, and when I went to cancel it they avoided me or hung up on me. I received a confirmation the next day, then proceeded to ask to cancel the order, return the book and receive a refund since it was being delivered so late. They responded by telling me there is a 40% fee for returned items, despite it being their fault. Sent the book back anyway and charged back the credit card because this company is nothing but a fraud. read more

I initiated a return through ABEbooks, but got an email from the seller responding that USPS tracking showed that the (incorrect) book had been delivered, and that I should contact the USPS. I replied to that 2 weeks ago re-explaining that I needed to return the book because they sent the wrong book, and they never responded to that. Don't buy from the seller whether on Ebay or Amazon, I bought a book on August 11th 2022 on Ebay from the seller, 4 days gone by I didn't receive the book I realized it would take a month to get it. I immediately emailed them to cancel the sale, they refused and mailed it anyway. When I received the book Ebay provided me a barcode to ship it back, I did I end up being charged $12 for return shipping, the book cost $18,I received $6 back very dangerous and evil people stay away from them I end buying the book from another seller for a penny more I got the book a week faster eventhough I bought it on August 15th. I would give Zero Stars if I could have!! I ordered a Book through SuperBookDeals on Amazon November 25th 2020. It was supposed to be at my door on December 11th 2020. Tracking it I knew that wasn't going to happen. Well I waited a couple of days and no movement in tracking and my book was stuck someplace in Illinois which is weird, seeing this company is in Maryland and I'm in Massachusetts. So I then saw a message that I had to contact USPS myself which I did. When I contacted USPS and entered my tracking number the recording stated that my item.was picked up by an unknown delivery company and the package was no longer traceable. Well I wrote to the company through Amazon, told them what was going on and they returned with this. We're sorry that your item hasn't arrived please tell us your order number, your address and phone number in case we need to make contact with you. Please let us know if your address is business or residential. WHAT! Well the order number was sent with their message so they knew the order number. Why Don't you already know my address? You already charged me for the book! I was charged as soon as I placed the order. I found this all to be very odd, contacted Amazon and told them what SuperBookDeals did to me. Amazon put in an A to Z complaint against SuperBookDeals and I received a refund. Well, SuperBookDeals keeps sending me emails telling me they sent another book and I told them I've been refunded and put in a complaint against them. Not to send the book because I just ordered it through Barnes and Noble. A reputable company. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for one of my daughter's. Ordered an xmas gift back in November. Asked several weeks later about my order and they claiimed to not be able to find my order number and to let amazon deal with it. Amazon said that because sUperbookdeals left such a large delivery window I couldn't do anything until that time passes (even though they cllaim to ship within two days. Well January 16th rolls around the last day they had in their delivery window and it hasn't even shipped yet. No word from sUperbookdeals, then they pushed back delivery to mid February. Ordered from superbookdeals through Amazon, a HUGE MISTAKE! The paperback book I received was shipped in a flimsy unpadded envelope, and I immediately saw a major flaw in 10 pages. Those pages were not bound correctly, had their right upper corners cut off at a diagonal and the edges and bottom of the pages were sticking out, crookedly, from the bottom and sides of the book. In addition, these pages had massive wrinkles throughout, rendering portions of them unreadable. These flagrant errors were readily apparent and this company ignored it and shipped it anyway. I am in discussions with Amazon about this company. Amazon should not allow them as a seller. read more

After three weeks I still don't have my book. A week after I ordered my textbook; I checked their tracking number and sure enough, SuperBookDeals never sent me the book. They took my money and ran for it. I wrote them several detailed emails. They ignored all my emails. eventually, I had to drop my class. Now they started sending me same format automated emails several times a day asking for my phone number. I can not get them to stop. I want my money back! Amazon did not publish my feedback. Ordered a book from Barnes & Noble website. Wasn't shipped in time, so I canceled the order (reordered from Amazon, received their book in 2 days). The seller (the company I am leaving this review for, and one, by the way, that goes by many names, even on B&N's site) emailed me 11 DAYS Later(!!) to inform me that they were not able to cancel the order, and if I wanted to return the order, I would need to pay return shipping. This is ridiculous, so I call B&N. They were of no help and the Rep was quite rude. Of course, admittedly, I was not the happiest person after I had to repeatedly explain the situation to the rep, only to have her ask me for multiple pieces of information I had just explained. For example, to start off, She asked how she could help me. I explained the situation. She asked me to hold so she could check the status of my order. I informed her that I had already received the order. Which she would have known had she'd listened in the first place. Anyway, the seller is incompetent and so is B&N. I will be doing my shopping elsewhere, and even though it may not matter to B&N now, it matters to me, and someday, when enough consumers get tired of the bull sh**, it will matter to them.
