I blame myself for not doing research in the first place. I saw "Great Book Deals" rated as 4 stars by Abebooks and I jumped the gun because the deal was too good to pass up. My credit card was charged instantly and Abebooks informed me the books were shipped the next day. I received no confirmation of that. I called the company and they told me the books were still being processed. Needless to say, I was skeptical and I decided to do my research on the web and I came across this Yelp page. My head practically exploded and my heart sank thinking I lost such a large sum of money. I followed up two days later and they told me the book set would be shipped by the end of the day. I received no confirmation. I called the company the following day and the lady on the other end told me, "We don't have a shipping number for you right now because we use a 3rd party carrier, but you will have a number once the books get to your local post office." Oh. I wasn't sure how to respond. A few days passed and Abebooks finally sent me a confirmation email. The shipping number was to the DHL shipping company from what I saw, it was 4 days after 'Great Book Deals' sent them a receipt informing them that they should be expecting a package from them soon. I called up 'GBD' again asking them what the deal was. They told me, the books are shipping via ANOTHER carrier before reaching DHL before reaching my local post office. I was fuming. This had to be a joke. And I told Melissa, I believe that was her name, that when you look up her company's name, there's a 1-star rating everywhere. Yet, Abebooks gave them 4 stars - I will not be shopping from Abebooks ever again. She responded with, "Those are the 4-stars our company rightfully deserves." Excuse me miss, but it's been two weeks and my books were nowhere to be found and you were shipping something from Chicago, Il. to NY. That is outrageous. I ordered packages from overseas and received them in 4 days time, and two of those days were weekend dates! Yet, your company can't seem to provide me a working tracking number one and half weeks into the order date. I know I followed up with this company a lot but can you blame me? Given its history, I should have caught a flight down to their headquarters and pick up my books on the spot. The only reason I'm giving this company 2-stars is because my package actually made it to me. The package itself was practically opened and broken but, fortunately, I was a lucky customer who actually received my package. How silly is it that I have to give a company credit for getting its package to me. Let this be a warning, don't be tricked by the ratings on Amazon and Abebooks. This company is irresponsible, to say the least. Don't waste your time. Pay the extra bucks and order books elsewhere. read more

Truly awful. Sorry I didn't read the reviews before ordering. Scummy crowd who post tracking numbers but don't mail books out.

Placed an order over a month ago, the shipper still has not received the item. After several attempts to communicate with "Super Book Deals," I have yet to receive a response. ZERO. This owner is either incompetent or a FRAUD read more

Ordered something online back on May 3rd (it's August 6th) and I have contacted them and all they say is "it's delivered" when both USPS and Walmart shows it has not and clearly I haven't gotten my package. It's not like I'm lying to get 15 damn dollars back I just want my fucking item I haven't gotten in months. read more

Ignored a return request 1 minute after placing the order---then never shipped! Super shady!

Buyer beware. I purchased a book and never received it. The company didn't care. I sent them proof from USPS that the book wasn't delivered to my address. read more

Please refer to all the other reviews, they're very accurate. Terrible company. No response - only after multiple emails was there a reply. Always "shipment is in progress", Amazon was very good cancelling order after filing complaint. Avoid at all cost. Ordered via Abebooks.com. According to the tracking it was stuck in transit for weeks. Annoying because when it was shipped asap I thought the manga I ordered for my son would be here quicker, but it was stuck in another city for weeks. It arrived around the time frame given. "Perfect Condition" came with a bent cover. Whatever, it's going to an 8 year old who was eager to have the next book in the series we cannot find in English ANYWHERE so not really a deal breaker. What was a deal-breaker was that it was in the wrong language. The manga was in German. There was nothing to notate that this was in German. English site, English description, English title, etc. I'm initiating a refund on AbeBooks, but it looks like I will have to pay for shipping back. Waiting to hear if they'll give me the shipping cost or if I'll be out the initial cost and shipping cost back. Very disappointed. read more

If I could give no stars I would. On December 10th I ordered a book for a Christmas gift. 6 days later it still hasn't shipped. But they claim that it had.so they refused to cancel the sale.but tracking number shows that it still is in their possession. You aren't that far away and maybe I just might personally return it. It really would of been your best interest to cancel the sale. KARMA IS A BITCH AND SO ARE YOU read more

I ordered a book from Amazon and found out it was from a third party vendor - Super Book Deals. After 18 days the item has not arrived. They take your money right away but do not deliver. I saw on the Better Business Bureau website that they have a lot of complaints of the same nature. I asked Amazon to take this vendor off of their site. They refused. Amazon should not be able to advertise a produce, take your money, then wash their hands of it when it doesn't arrive - because it's a third party vendor. Amazon is the one who put this vendor on their website. Stay away from Superbookdeals.com they should rename it to: super book rip-offs.com read more

Extremely slow shipping. Tracking is not good . Do not do business.

Scam! Started getting books from SUPERBOOKDEALS that I never ordered. Called. Was online for 30 minutes with no answer. So far three books that I never ordered or saw. Will cancel creed card payment. read more

Service was terrible. They sent the wrong book to me but CLAIM that the item was delivered because the tracking number stated it was delivered. THE BOOK IN THE PACKAGE WAS NOT THE BOOK I ORDERED!!!!! This company advertised the ability to ship 2 books, before a certain date, which I needed for class. When I had yet to receive notice of shipment with 7 days to go on the date they claimed, I reached out. They did not respond. Then, I got a shipment notice AFTER the date they were to be delivered! I contacted them immediately and said I no longer needed them since they did not deliver them by the promised date. After 7 emails back & forth, they finally said to just "cross out your name & address, right return to sender, and mail them back". I did so. Weeks go by, no response or refund. I contact them, they claim they didn't get the return and what was the tracking #. Tracking #?!?! I sent them back AS REQUESTED! They then said wait. I waited. 2 more weeks go by, I check in, and get a canned response about not receiving my order? I tell them to read our entire email thread. They claim they don't have access to it. I reply with ALL the prior emails. The final response? We don't accept returns after 30 days. AVOID THIS COMPANY! I ordered my book Feb 26th. They say they shipped it Mar 3rd, but it still hasn't even reached USPS. The phone number is not on their website and they did not send a tracking number when it was shipped. I only got the USPS tracking number by calling a few phone numbers I found published by people complaining about the company online. At this point, my 7 week class will be half over before I get the book. Definitely NOT worth saving a couple bucks. Thanks, Brian B. read more

I wish I had read these reviews. Three weeks into class, I don't have some of my books, and I've been emailing them with no response. Finally, I find a girl who had the class last semester and convince her to let me buy her books. Two days later, my books finally arrive! Now they won't respond to an email or a contact request on the website, and I'm disputing the charges with my bank. DON"T BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS! read more

Forget this irresponsible seller. I ordered a book in early June and the tracking number shows that the book has not moved since June 8. I have contacted amazon to check into this. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOU'RE MONEY!! You'll order your book and receive it in 3 months. Their customer service is despicable when they actually do respond to your questions, but most of the time you'll receive no response. My book had not been shipped 10 days after I placed the order, and when I went to cancel it they avoided me or hung up on me. I received a confirmation the next day, then proceeded to ask to cancel the order, return the book and receive a refund since it was being delivered so late. They responded by telling me there is a 40% fee for returned items, despite it being their fault. Sent the book back anyway and charged back the credit card because this company is nothing but a fraud. read more

The book I received wasn't the book I ordered. I initiated a return through ABEbooks, but got an email from the seller responding that USPS tracking showed that the (incorrect) book had been delivered, and that I should contact the USPS. I replied to that 2 weeks ago re-explaining that I needed to return the book because they sent the wrong book, and they never responded to that. I ended up having to contest the charge with my credit card company. read more

I would give Zero Stars if I could have!! I ordered a Book through SuperBookDeals on Amazon November 25th 2020. It was supposed to be at my door on December 11th 2020. Tracking it I knew that wasn't going to happen. Well I waited a couple of days and no movement in tracking and my book was stuck someplace in Illinois which is weird, seeing this company is in Maryland and I'm in Massachusetts. So I then saw a message that I had to contact USPS myself which I did. When I contacted USPS and entered my tracking number the recording stated that my item.was picked up by an unknown delivery company and the package was no longer traceable. Well I wrote to the company through Amazon, told them what was going on and they returned with this. We're sorry that your item hasn't arrived please tell us your order number, your address and phone number in case we need to make contact with you. Please let us know if your address is business or residential. WHAT! Well the order number was sent with their message so they knew the order number. Why Don't you already know my address? You already charged me for the book! I was charged as soon as I placed the order. I found this all to be very odd, contacted Amazon and told them what SuperBookDeals did to me. Amazon put in an A to Z complaint against SuperBookDeals and I received a refund. Well, SuperBookDeals keeps sending me emails telling me they sent another book and I told them I've been refunded and put in a complaint against them. Not to send the book because I just ordered it through Barnes and Noble. A reputable company. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for one of my daughter's. This has to be the absolute WORST SELLER on AMAZON that I've ever had the DIS-pleasure to deal with

Awful. No response from customer service until I told them to cancel the order, and then they told me that it had already shipped. No tracking info provided. It took 3 weeks to get the book, and only a couple of days of that was actual shipping time. I'll never buy from them again. read more

Ordered an xmas gift back in November. Asked several weeks later about my order and they claiimed to not be able to find my order number and to let amazon deal with it. Amazon said that because sUperbookdeals left such a large delivery window I couldn't do anything until that time passes (even though they cllaim to ship within two days. Well January 16th rolls around the last day they had in their delivery window and it hasn't even shipped yet. No word from sUperbookdeals, then they pushed back delivery to mid February. Today they pushed it back to March, nearly 4 months after the day I ordered it. Cancelled order, this place is a scam. read more

Ordered from superbookdeals through Amazon, a HUGE MISTAKE! The paperback book I received was shipped in a flimsy unpadded envelope, and I immediately saw a major flaw in 10 pages. Those pages were not bound correctly, had their right upper corners cut off at a diagonal and the edges and bottom of the pages were sticking out, crookedly, from the bottom and sides of the book. In addition, these pages had massive wrinkles throughout, rendering portions of them unreadable. These flagrant errors were readily apparent and this company ignored it and shipped it anyway. I am in discussions with Amazon about this company. Amazon should not allow them as a seller. read more

Read the last 90 day's feedback ratings of SuperBookDeals on Amazon. Don't buy from this seller. They will scam you. Í ordered a $150 textbook from them on amazon. After three weeks I still don't have my book. A week after I ordered my textbook; I checked their tracking number and sure enough, SuperBookDeals never sent me the book. They took my money and ran for it. I wrote them several detailed emails. They ignored all my emails. eventually, I had to drop my class. Now they started sending me same format automated emails several times a day asking for my phone number. I can not get them to stop. I want my money back! Amazon did not publish my feedback. Last I checked they are making very handsome money on their commission monthly so letting them feast on their customer's blood is a no brainer. Typical corporate drawing peon's blood. read more

Ordered a book from Barnes & Noble website. Wasn't shipped in time, so I canceled the order (reordered from Amazon, received their book in 2 days). The seller (the company I am leaving this review for, and one, by the way, that goes by many names, even on B&N's site) emailed me 11 DAYS Later(!!) to inform me that they were not able to cancel the order, and if I wanted to return the order, I would need to pay return shipping. This is ridiculous, so I call B&N. They were of no help and the Rep was quite rude. Of course, admittedly, I was not the happiest person after I had to repeatedly explain the situation to the rep, only to have her ask me for multiple pieces of information I had just explained. For example, to start off, She asked how she could help me. I explained the situation. She asked me to hold so she could check the status of my order. I informed her that I had already received the order. Which she would have known had she'd listened in the first place. Anyway, the seller is incompetent and so is B&N. I will be doing my shopping elsewhere, and even though it may not matter to B&N now, it matters to me, and someday, when enough consumers get tired of the bull sh**, it will matter to them. Why do we put up with companies providing below par service and fairness? Why have we not come together in protest and demand to be treated better? They need us!! read more

NOTE sharp contrast with rating and reviews of same seller on Amazon. I could not manage to leave negative review of this seller on Amazon. My review was declined by Amazon, recommending that I leave seller feedback, but then not giving me the option to leave seller feedback. Is negative reviews often blocked by amazon? Product not delivered from Superbookdeals. I desperately needed this book at the time, for exam preparation and ordered via Amazon.
