They usually have a decent selection of games, but they also have way too much toy garbage like Funko Pops, when that space could be used for retro games. I mean the store is called Gamestop, not Toystop. If they replaced the toys with retro games they would be making much more money. The prices are good. Bought a $100 controller recently, had both battery issues and stick drift and was unable to return it because I didn't have the correct ID. This being said, I had my passport, birth certificate, social security card, and my global entry card. I was told all this information was not valid. You can leave the country, buy drugs and alcohol, and get a job with a passport, but not return a jank controller at GameStop. Very intriguing. I had a similar situation happen a few months ago, where I bought a PlayStation that had continuous HDMI issues. Was again, unable to return it. It was too late (had brought it 6+ months ago) to do much for an exchange, but they helped us as much as they could. Weren't pushy. Took the time to really help and make sure mom got what she wanted. Just an overall really great experience. I'll make the drive out of my way to go back to this one the next time I need something.

When I get up to the register he takes a cartridge out of one of those used game envelopes and tells me it's NEW. Since when do they sell NEW games not in the manufacturer's clear wrap??? Felt shady AF, how do I know that cartridge is new and not used or damaged?? When I asked about why he said it was new store policy! I will be messaging corporate to confirm this is how they now Sell new games. If it is, I will never buy from GameStop again and buy online somewhere where I know it will come sealed originally by the manufacturer.
