I used to buy at Barnes & Noble and Amazon, but this place has a much better price and promotions. Although not my thing, this store has a section for Warhammers, D&D, and living card games. It also hosts tournaments and game demos, of which schedule can be found on the store website or social. The only minus point is there is no shipping if you're from out of town. But that what keeps this place a hidden gem of DFW.

Although it does not carry what I'm specifically interested in, if you like to play board games in a relaxed social atmosphere and pick up more modern-day collectibles, this might be the place for you. Madness has a wide variety of collector card sets, board games, and also modern action figure lines, with Star Wars and G.I. Joe as large focal points. Madness does carry some vintage Star Wars figures from the '70s/'80s but it really shines with the franchise toy lines that have come after that heyday, with deep inventory in the sequel trilogy figures, Power of the Force, post-prequel movie and streaming show figures, and the Retro Collection. This is also the place if you love the Pop! Funko figures (which I do not in the least) as Madness has definitely gone all in on the craze. I found the staff to be helpful with my questions during my visit and they gave me space to think about some items I was mulling over. Although I probably won't be a frequent visitor, I appreciate the unique offerings Madness brings, especially in creating community.

I was so disappointed upon purchasing items from them online. I waited practically 3 weeks and they never showed up and was given the excuse by one of their employees over the phone that there could be delays due to holidays which was my case seeing how I purchased my 3 legendary 5D's Decks Box Set. But nevertheless that's no excuse for these items to NEVER show up at my front door when I've purchased other TCG elsewhere online and they show up within 1-2 weeks and during holiday season as well. I am glad I got my refund though, but nevertheless It's not worth taking the risk I did and purchase online from these guys just to be kept waiting and for your item/s to never show up. Also, I never understood how can a TCG store not keep track of their items they ship out to their customers because when I asked the dude with whom I spoke with over the phone, he had no idea.It's safe to assume the items I ordered either got lost, mis-delivered, damaged, or stolen.Do not purchase online from these guys, you've been warned. I don't wish this on anyone, not even on my worst enemy. What a joke of a store.

They rarely keep a good back stock of past comics. Most of what's available seems to be leftover issues that didn't sell, rather than a curated selection of popular or essential titles. If you're looking for anything specific from recent weeks, chances are it's already gone. New comic release days feel like they're catered exclusively to regulars. I arrived at 11:20 AM on release day and the Redband Punisher issue was already sold out. It's frustrating to see how few copies they order--there's never enough for everyone, and it feels like unless you have a pull list or know someone, you're out of luck. If you're a casual reader or someone trying to get into comics, this store might not be the most welcoming or reliable place to find what you're looking for.

My son wanted to learn a new game called Riftbound so I bought he and I two starter decks at Wylie Game Nerdz. My son informed my that I bought the wrong ones. So I purchased the correct one directly from Game Nerdz online and picked it up in person at their local warehouse. Today I went to return the UNOPENED (you literally have to tear Cardboard using the rip feature located at the top of the boxes to get into them) and the employee said returning sounds reasonable and verified that they were not opened and I showed receipt of purchasing them from the same week. He said he needed approval to return and so he messaged the district manager. She informed him to blow me off and say I need to email their support for assistance and next steps. I called support to explain the situation and they said they could not help either because it was purchased at a store location. So, the district manager already knows this and just wanted to give me the run around . A common rule in marketing , like marketing 101 as a matter of fact, is to make the customer experience as easy as possible. This is straight forward return and they would not make any exception and said I am stuck with these wrong boxes I got. See pictures. They are mint and unopened and I bought them same week. They also would not let me speak to the district manager and told me they could give me the email for customer support. Any REAL LGS or game store for that matter that's not corporately owned would easily accept my return. Especially considering I bought these items replacements from them as well, and NOT from a competitor. Shame on me. I'll go to Madness Games and any other store not named Gamer Nerdz moving forward. Please support REAL local game stores everyone. They care about you. Game Nerdz cares about your money.

Gametrade recently changed from being a video game store (with lots of retro titles) to a full on…read moregaming store....all the better. They are working hard to make this store the go to for all your table top gaming needs from Friday Night Magic (and other TCGs), to boardgames, to RPGs and Table Top War Games.They have card protectors, dice, D&D minis, Citadel Paints and hobby tools. All with an excellent selection. Plus there are still some current console game titles as well. Currently they seem to only carry D&D and Games Workshop (40k/AOS). So don't expect to find Paizo, Free League, Chaosium or other RPGs. Likewise don't look for Mantic, Warlord or other Table Top War Games. BUT considering the size of the store this is an understandable choice and from my experience you're more than welcome to bring in any game during opening gaming hours. This is an awesome local gaming shop, with a great staff!! Please come in and check them out.
