I was told they could only exchange them for the exact same product, but since that item wasn't in stock I'd have to contact the manufacturer myself. I wasn't asking for a refund, just an exchange or store credit for an item that was defective on day one. Most retailers stand behind the products they sell, especially when something fails immediately. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here, so I can't recommend shopping at a place that doesn't take responsibility for defective items.

This location in particular, is probably my most visited one, but also my least liked of the three. Even so, it's still a great store. When it comes to retro and vintage items, you can always find exactly what you're looking for on sites like eBay. The fun part of Jay's, is not knowing what you want and just browsing. More times than not, I don't buy anything from this location. The selection of items is usually better at the other locations. That's the only reason it's not a 5-star rating for me. Value wise, I think their prices rival eBay, and you can buy it on the spot instead of waiting for shipping. Staff always seems friendly and helpful also.

I was there to see if they wanted purchase something from me. They have a space in the back where they will take and see if they will buy off you. They offer cash and store credit. I called the store to ask for a game, and a female staff stated they have it available right away…read more I asked if she could put one aside for me, and she said yes. I drove 25 miles to pick it up. I arrived to the store about 20 minutes after I called them. I asked for the game, the male staff looked for the game in the computer, and started to search for the game in the drawers. After a few attempts, he told me that they don't have it. I told him that I just called and the other staff stated that they had multiple copies of it and had put one on hold for me. The male staff member became defensive and stated that they do not hold games for anyone. Then the female staff added that "they sold quickly." They made me feel like it was my fault that I came to the store for nothing. They did not apologize for wasting my time and money driving there, nor did they own up to the mistake they made for not actually searching for the copy of the game when I called. It clearly did not sell that fast in the 20 minutes between my call and arrival, since they were searching for it and did not know where the game would even be. The staff were rude and careless. Definitely need to learn how to do customer service.
