It's a mixed bag in here. The staff are always absolutely fantastic - helpful and friendly and open to those who don't really understand games or little kids, and as hardcore as gamers come to others who love games and 'speak the language'.
They're always very good, with great recommendations, honesty and superb knowledge. Two thumbs way up.
That's the good. The bad? This shop is ruddy tiny, and there's not enough space. I'm betting that this shop makes an absolute ton of money and yet in many many years it hasn't been upgraded, refitted or changed in any significant way - it's still small, it's still dark, and despite all the staff's best efforts to keep it clean and good-looking it still looks pokey and rubbish, especially compared to other GAME stores.
The queue snakes around the shop, and the staff serve as quickly as they can (they make mistakes, mind) but the size, shape and layout of the shop only exascerbates the queue problem, making it look worse than it is and undoubtedly putting customers off making a purchase.
It boggles the mind that such a highly popular shop has remained in such a small place for so long. Go here for the excellent service and people, not for the store itself! read more
