He takes the time to explain features of new consoles, compare different options, and offer advice when needed. Alongside Dom, there's another employee named Jessica who also makes a strong impression. Very kind and always willing to lend a hand, no matter how simple the task. I've seen Jessica help other customer find accessories or troubleshoot an issue. Jessica has a warm attitude and makes the store feel welcoming, even when things are busy. I was just minding my own business and he kept trying to talk to me about his favorite games and card games. I wasn't trying to be mean and just say thanks but he kept going. I work alot and dont have time to play video games like these guys do so I haven't finished alot of my games but he kept going on about games that he actually spoiled the ending for the zelda I'm currently playing at my pace. I told him he had spoiled it for me now and he did apologize but he kept going and talking about it! I had to walk out because he was getting on my nerves. I wouldn't come to this store if you see a short scrawny kid there. I'm pretty sure he thinks hes the one in charge but doesn't look the part. On another note I even saw him at Plaza Bonita working the other day. I had to walk out after I spotted him because I just didn't want to deal with him again. The girl there was nice though. Welcomed me to the store and even said goodbye after I turned around and left.

Little did I know I'd walk out today with a BRAND NEW WII! We got a Wii (it also included Wii Fit) and purchased a LOT of games too. The Wii was a huge part of my childhood and unfortunately the one I owned growing up was damaged and thrown away (gasp... I know! But not my fault)! Anyways, the worker there today (had on a My Chemical Romance hat & had some cool tattoos) helped us out today. I didn't get their name, but they were very nice and extremely helpful. The pricing here? Out of this world. It was so affordable to snag over 10 games and a brand new Wii. That's not something you'll get at Game Stop! On top of it, they offer a military discount (we couldn't use it but it's good to know for anyone who can)! This place is also dog friendly and I got to meet a cute dog named Bowie (I wonder if he's a regular)! All and all, I wish this place were located in Los Angeles. I really loved it and again their pricing was extremely fair. I really hope they can get a website up soon because I'd love to buy from them when I'm back home! Thank you for an awesome, affordable and great experience. It was like walking down memory lane in this store!! It took me back to my childhood.

Date of visit: July 24, 2024…read more As part of Comic-Con 2024, Now Or Never Comics was participating in the festivities in two ways - by having a raffle for three CGC-rated books with purchase of the most recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles book... and a free pizza party. AUTOMATIC FIVE-STAR RATING! Okay, besides that, Now or Never is one of the few (if not only) comic book stores in Downtown San Diego. It's actually cleaner and more organized than the ones I frequent, but the relatively small size of the building means they don't have as much in stock as I'd like. Case in point, I wanted to show my appreciation for supporting SDCC by getting a couple of graphic novels of Trese and Usagi Yojimbo, but the ones I wanted weren't in stock. But, given how I was surprised to see a comic book store a few blocks away from the Convention Center, I can see myself probably checking it out again whenever I'm in the area.
