I went to this restaurants opening night. What a great addition to downtown West Bend. This business has arcade games including pinball machines. The owner also has his own collection of comic books on the walls that he has personally collected. He encourages customers to take and read the comic books during your time at the business. Mind you some are even in plastic protectors. The atmosphere is quite nice. We were seated immediately. All the staff we encountered were very friendly. The owner even went around personally to each table. The food was very delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. The appetizer onion petals were especially tasty. The restaurant was well staffed and ran quite well for it being their first night open. I highly recommend this business and will definitely be back.

A really solid addition to downtown West Bend. I am not aware of what was in this spot before but I enjoy the flow of the interior-long bar on the right as you enter with a split dining room and games in the back. Dining solo, I sat at the bar. Bartender was quick and friendly and enjoyed the selection of beers on tap. The menu is focused on appetizers, sides/salads and handhelds-where you can swap our beef for chicken (fried or grilled) or a black bean burger. I opted for the Wild Wild Wes fried chicken sandwich with a side of fries. The chicken sandwich was very good (if I am being picky, perhaps the bun was too sweet). Topped with slaw, spicy pickles, and a hot honey ranch, it was a sandwich I would travel for. The fries-incredible. Fried in beef tallow, they were prepared perfectly and the optional side of ranch (clearly homemade) was the chef's kiss. Although they have only been open a few weeks, they have it humming. I will be back.

Parking is convenient. Street level entrance was another plus. Once inside we were greeted with a well decorated establishment that appeared to be well maintained and clean. After sitting down, the staff wasted no time coming to take our orders. We had burgers and fries with one orange juice and one soda. The food was absolutely delicious. Yet, another place I recommend for grabbing a bite to eat. Very nice. Incessant Research (Investigative research - not for hire) (Investigative Journalism - not for hire)

Both my older son and I thought this sounded amazing so we stopped in on a Friday night to try it. We both got fries for our side. The burger was great as expected. Breading and deep frying the lasagna helped prevent it from being a mess and they added enough marinara to give it flavor without overpowering anything. The fries were lightly salted, but were otherwise just boring, plain potato. Apparently 6pm on a Friday is a horrible time to visit Brazen Head Pub if you want to be seated in a reasonable timeframe. My son and I stood there for at least 20 minutes watching a table that was done eating and the gentleman and his credit card in hand, ready to pay if someone would ever stop and give him his bill. While this was going on, another couple at the bar finished their food and sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting for their check. It's almost as if the employees had no desire to turnover tables even with a line at the door including and behind us. There were three people bartending/waiting tables so they had plenty of coverage given the smaller size of the place. At one point, closer to the end of our meal, one of the bartenders looked at my son and I and asked "are you guys good?" as he was literally walking away from us and I was holding up an empty soda glass to show him I'd like a refill. Oddly, he gave me a thumbs up and kept going. I don't even know what to make of that other than poor service. The music that was playing was excessively loud. If it was a live band, I'd get it, that's part of the show and I wouldn't complain. For random music on speakers to drown out all conversations unless you're yelling, that's dumb.

We ended up staying for hours because the vibe was that good. The owner and staff were an absolute joy: warm, attentive, and genuinely fun to be around. Bonus points for the 2-for-1 drink specials because yes, we absolutely got lit here. As a vegetarian, I felt fully seen because they went out their way to make me veggie tacos that were so good I'm still thinking about them. Drooling. They also offer pizzas and other food options, so everyone wins. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming energy, and a space you actually want to linger in. This spot is a must and we will 100% be back. Definitely a must try when you are in Mazalan!!!

It seems like they will for at least the time being try to wear both hats. They have a nice selection of coffees to choose from. They also have a nice selection of specialty alcohol drinks. The staff was quite proud of using a computerized pour system to mix every drink the same way each and every time. My votes still out on the computer made drink. We all have our favorite bartender for mixing a drink a certain way, not sure how I feel about developing loyalty to a machine. The owners did an incredible amount of remodeling to make the Garden Lounge what it is including a poured concrete bar top. A really nice upscale atmosphere for downtown West Bend. A definite worthwhile date night or after dinner destination. There are no windows to the outside, making it the perfect spot to transition from morning coffee into day drinking and being blissfully unaware it's the middle of the day They offer homemade frozen pizzas and a handful of appetizers to boot. We tried the wonton wrapped cheese sticks and rangoons. Both went quite nicely with a few cocktails. Welcome to West Bend Garden Lounge & good luck with your future.

I called and they said they would still honor it AND I could use it on their Thursday night all you can eat ribs, so my eldest son and I made our way to West Bend for dinner. I got the AYCE ribs, which comes with cornbread muffins, and mac and cheese and fries for the sides. My son got a two meat combo with brisket and smoked chicken for the meats and mac and cheese and fries for the sides. His also came with a cornbread muffin and we ordered cheese curds to start with. The cheese curds were awesome. The breading was sort of like what you sometimes find on chicken strips, so it had a nice crunch to it. I didn't love the parmesan sprinkled on top, but that's a minor issue. Both of us really liked the mac and cheese. It comes in a container like you'd pour gravy or coffee cream from, so unfortunately we didn't get a ton of it. I'd have no problem getting double mac and cheese next time if my meal comes with two sides. The fries were more like potato wedges. They were on the salty side, but had good flavor and were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside like potato wedges should be. The all you can eat ribs came with four cornbread muffins. Obviously they want you to fill up on those and not order more ribs. For what they were they were fine and pretty much down the middle in terms of moist versus dry. I'm not normally a brisket person, but the piece of his that I tried was impressive. I didn't think the smoked chicken had much smokiness to it and, being white meat, it was more dry than I prefer. The ribs were excellent. They fell off the bone and had just the right amount of bark on them. The BBQ sauce was both tangy and smoky, which I like. The food came out relatively fast and our server (I think it was Savannah?) was friendly and attentive. Maybe the move to a new location has and will improve on some of the issues other reviewers seemed to have had in the past. As for us, everything went smoothly and I'm looking forward to stopping again.
