There were dice on the bar, and the bartender said they have a little "game" - I forget all of the combinations, but if you got 3, 4 or 5 of a kind, you won a certain "prize". One of us won a free sixpack - to drink there or TO GO! Conveniently, there were six of us, so we got another round free. Behind the bar, I saw a weird looking jar of...stuff. I asked what it was, and the bartender grabbed the jar and put it in front of me: PORK HOCKS. Being a suburban boy all my life, I had no idea what it was. My friends dared me to eat one.
