Love the quaint yet chic & modern decor. The owner was there the day we visited and was so friendly. She explained some of the menu items we were unfamiliar with. Their coffee and small bites were phenomenal! You could tell everything was made fresh and with quality ingredients. Next time we visit Madrid we'll be stopping by here again!

So glad that we found it because the everything was amazing. A small coffee & dessert shop that's very unique with an urban but home-like feeling. The owner was there to open and speaks English so that really made it comfortable for us to select what to eat. She gave us her recommendations on what to try being that you couldn't visually see what was inside most of the pastry items and the menu was in Spanish. I assume that it isn't a dog friendly venue...one of the patrons sat their dog outside while they enjoyed coffee. Their selections of pastries are endless; From cakes, to donuts, tarts, quiches, meat pies, meat empanadas, etc. I'm sad that I didn't try any of the sweets, but I did order the smoked salmon & queso cream cheese sandwhich, along with their puff pastry of spinach (my favorite) & beef & chicken empanadas. Light & small but shareable as my girlfriend and I enjoyed every last bite & toasted with a cup of coffee!

The service was attentive (for Spanish standards). What I ordered: they had a couple of drink + dessert options for 10€ so I got a mojito and carrot cake. The carrot cake was so yummy! Not the best ever, and I wish there was a little more icing, but still really good! The mojito was great, but there was sooooo much ice. I really didn't feel like I got much of an actual drink. There are plenty of classic cocktail options! The prices are average I would say. They had a couple of small savory options. My friend got some smoked salmon toast which she said was good! This is a great place to have a fairly quiet drink with a friend! I know they also have breakfast so I will be back to try it sometime!

I opted for a cup of coffee (with milk) and as is traditional in Europe, this is per cup. They don't brew huge pots of coffee here. Each cup is basically an Americano. Good flavor, plenty of caffeine. With it, I had the toast with butter and jam. The butter was in packets, but the jam seemed handmade and was very sweet. Perfect breakfast food. I give much weight to service and attitude when I'm reviewing a restaurant. It can even overcome…read moresome slips in the meal. Thankfully, Las Delicias doesn't skimp in either area. We sat outside on a perfect evening. Local men enjoy the place inside so it's loud in there. Nothing wrong with that. Our waiter was super fun, engaged with us and helped with our selection. We got the standard wine and beer which comes with potato chips. We also ordered one of their signature toasts plus a "margarita pizza". The toast was delicious as was the pizza, although it looked nothing like what you'd expect from an Italian or American menu. It looked much more like a seasoned cheese pizza. Oh well, it was delicious. Even better it was close to Atocha train station and just up the road from our hotel.
