The ambience of this place is slightly nicer than a gas station. We were from out of town and the…read morereviews were good, and when we asked if we could sit and eat they said yes. But all the chairs were in stacks against the wall and we had to get our own chairs and put them next to the table. The specials list was old and torn. The server who helped us seemed shocked that we were there at all... Had almost no customer service skills. The pizza tasted like it came from an easy bake oven cooked by a lightbulb. Cracker-like crust that was not as good as something you'd get at a Casey's. Plastic plates and styrofoam cups for our drinks. Outdoor seating is a picnic table in the parking lot of a busy street. This is not a place to go if you want good ambience, good pizza, or good service.

I was told, "Oh, it should be out in just a few minutes." Another 10 minutes passed before my pizza finally came out. When it did, the quality was absolutely terrible. The pizza looked and tasted like something you'd expect from a concession stand, not a sit-down pizza place. Poor preparation, low quality, and clearly rushed despite the long wait. If you're going to make customers wait nearly an hour, the food should at least be worth it. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing from start to finish, both in service and food quality.

(But it did look like a great place to hang out, too.) The pizza was a perfect size for one person. Wood fired pizza is my favorite. It was delicious.

We ordered a child's meal for my aunt, who is currently going through cancer treatment and has not been eating very much. Desiree approached us and told us, in a rude and dismissive manner, that the child's meals were only for children 10 and under. We explained our situation and why we were trying to order a smaller meal for her, but Desiree simply reiterated the restaurant's policy and told us we would have to order a regular menu item. When we asked Desiree for her name, her response was again rude and dismissive. Rather than showing any understanding of the situation, she reiterated the policy and told us that she was writing a note for her manager about the interaction. Given the way the situation was handled, this felt less like an effort to address our concerns and more like an attempt to document the situation from her perspective before we had an opportunity to speak with management ourselves. We understand that restaurants have policies, and we were not asking for the policy to be changed. However, there are ways to communicate a policy with compassion and tact, especially when a customer explains that they are dealing with a serious health situation. We were simply trying to find an appropriate amount of food for someone going through cancer treatment. Desiree's approach felt rude, insulting, and completely lacking in compassion. The food itself was excellent, and the other staff members were helpful, but this interaction significantly impacted our experience. A little kindness, understanding, and professionalism would have made a big difference.
