The ambience of this place is slightly nicer than a gas station. We were from out of town and the reviews were good, and when we asked if we could sit and eat they said yes. But all the chairs were in stacks against the wall and we had to get our own chairs and put them next to the table. The specials list was old and torn. The server who helped us seemed shocked that we were there at all... Had almost no customer service skills. The pizza tasted like it came from an easy bake oven cooked by a lightbulb. Cracker-like crust that was not as good as something you'd get at a Casey's. Plastic plates and styrofoam cups for our drinks. Outdoor seating is a picnic table in the parking lot of a busy street. I ordered my pizza before several other customers, yet somehow 40 minutes later I still had nothing. I finally had to walk up to the counter myself to ask about it. I was told, "Oh, it should be out in just a few minutes." Another 10 minutes passed before my pizza finally came out. When it did, the quality was absolutely terrible. The pizza looked and tasted like something you'd expect from a concession stand, not a sit-down pizza place. Poor preparation, low quality, and clearly rushed despite the long wait. If you're going to make customers wait nearly an hour, the food should at least be worth it. Humble pie is a family pizza place in Pratt, Kansas. The pizza hot wings was absolutely awesome. We were staying at a motel there in Pratt. They brought it to us. The only thing that I didn't like and they corrected it was they didn't bring his plates or forks. We didn't ask for them when we ordered either. I worked here in high school as well as working at the local Pizza Hut, so I know what happens behind the counter. I will never order food again from Pizza Hut and will choose humble pie 10/10 times. The kitchen is very clean and the owners are very kind people. If you have an issue, they will take care of it. They hire a lot of younger kids who are in school and it is probably one of their first jobs. Any negative experiences are probably due to that. I can't recommend this place enough. Pizza gets 4.5 stars. Service gets 1 star. From the looks of it, call-in orders take precedence over dine-ins. We ordered, paid then sat down. Every person that called in was told 20 min and everyone got their pizza as soon as they arrived. We however waited over 40 minutes from our receipt print-off time. We were also never asked for refills and most of the tables in the small dining room had plates still on them. As for pizza we got beef 'n cheddar and the humble pie. Both were very delicious. Stopped in Pratt overnight on the way through on business. Ordered a pizza from here for delivery. In no time someone was knocking at the door with my pizza. I ordered what they call the Humble Pie which is the house specialty. I thought it was a great little pizza, the crust was not too thin not too thick but just right. The sauce had just the right level of sweetness and all the ingredients were very fresh and good. All the ingredients were very well-balanced without too much of anything over powering something else. Whoever made it took a lot of pride in it and I enjoyed it very much. A pizza was delivered to me at 935pm in the parking lot of a filling station (about two miles from the Humble Pie) I paid for the pizza and drove two miles home. Made an order on the store and was told it would be 25 minutes. 40 minutes later they start to make our food. I sat there and watched about 4 people come and get their food before we did.
