I travel into the Great Bend area once or twice a month for work. I have been to several locations around Kansas, and this one is hot, fast, and correct every time that I have visited. This is apparently a pizza chain, one I've never encountered. They have an extensive menu including hot sandwiches, calzones and pizza. I opted for the buffet so as to not have to wait. Initially, the pizza on the buffet were a bit old but what I are was reasonably tasty. I was able to special order a meat "cravers" pizza for the buffet which came out relatively quickly and it was tasty. The buffet includes a salad bar with a nice assortment of toppings (for a pizza buffet) and some pasta (I didn't try it). Buffet price ($8.93 with tax) includes a drink...that's a pretty good deal. Should I find myself in Great Bend again at meal time, I wouldn't hesitate to eat at Gambino's Pizza. 4 stars means above average in my book! read more

Gambino's is the best pizza you'll find in Great Bend. Much better than Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Papa Murphy's and ..... well, that's about it. There aren't many pizza choices. Actually, when it's fresh, Gambino's is pretty decent. It's not the best, but it's not bad. Service is good and the building is nice, though certainly not upscale. I'm not a fan of the buffet; the pizza tends to lose some of its flavor after about 10 minutes on the buffet, and the options are pretty limited. They are open until about 9:00 pm, which is later than some other places in town. read more

Good pizza, despite some negative feedback from locals. New York style, with a thinner crust than the big chains. Prompt, friendly service when we ordered and picked up for take-out. Still hot, with melty cheese and crispy crust when we arrived at our destination - the Best Western. Gambino's pizzeria is such an exciting establishment in such a small town. It's a place to host any parties with pizza and bowling. In regards to how they are handling COVID, the employees are required to wear masks, however customers aren't. Tables are cleaned up after as soon as customers are finished. When people decide to bowl they are told to skip every lane to mandate social distancing, but certain seating areas are not closed off. Gambino's offers take out, and a delivery fee of about four dollars, but I wouldn't mind paying that considering how quickly the food is prepared. Every time I place an order I'm told, "That'll be about 30 minutes!" Their food menu consists of pizza, salads, and sandwiches. My personal favorite pizza Gambino's has to offer is their "Italian cheese sticks." Every time I order it, they never disappoint. The food is freshly and quickly made. Hays also has Gambino's, and their cheese sticks cannot be compared to Ellsworth's deliciously mouth-watering Italian dressing sauce. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends. read more

If you go for the buffet it's good pizza but sometimes a little slow to refill. If you are ordering off the menu it's all good with some unique pizzas. The calzones are awesome! You can build them with the ingredients you pick yourself. If you have young kids you can't beat this place. In Great Bend, your choices if you wanted pizza were either Pizza Hut (10th Street), Pizza Hut (Jackson Square), or Pizza Hut (Main Street). Gambinos gives the locals another choice and its a good one. It's a bit pricier than Pizza Hut, but it tastes better, too. They do have a buffet, but they really need to stock it better. I went there the other day on the noon hour, and you had to fight off other people just to get a few slices. But overall this is a good place to eat. read more

HORRIBLE customer service!!!!!!! I ordered dinner at 6:30pm on a Tuesday night after arriving at my hotel. At 8:10pm I called the restaurant to inquire as to why my dinner hadn't been delivered when I already received the confirmation email and my credit card HAD BEEN CHARGED the full amount. The "manager" girl I spoke to told me she didn't receive my online order, my card was never charged and that it was my problem, not hers or the restaurant's! Obviously I informed her if my card was charged, we would have a problem. I then ordered dinner from Pizza Hut. At 8:25pm the owner of Gambino's Pizza in Great Bend, KS called me to explain all of the excuses as to why the restaurant didn't receive my order, but yet she received it on her cell phone! She also informed me that my credit card WAS charged in full! I will NEVER order from this restaurant again and will tell everyone and anyone who asks for a reference about what happened. This is either a complete scam or else another example of an incompetent person trying to run a business! It gets 1 star only because it won't allow me to give it 0! read more
