    Mozzarella Sticks

Solid late night spot- 4 friends and I stopped in after dinner for an evening cap- they closed around 11/11:30 I think? Waiters were attentive and they had live music. I didn't go to the bathroom but heard it was very small so warning....go to the bathroom prior to coming here! lol Since it's covid time we also had to order food- we shared pigs in a blanket and mozzarella sticks. The perfect ending to a fun girls night!!

Threw a surprise bday for my boyfriend here last weekend and this was hands down the best event planning experience I've ever had in NYC. We rented a private room upstairs for a very reasonable price for NYC. Our waitress absolutely crushed it and kept the drinks flowing all night long, which is so impressive given how many people we had. I was so worried that we wouldn't be able to get drinks like at so many other restaurants/bars when there's a server instead of bar service, but she was so attentive and all around great throughout the night. On top of that, the manager James was INCREDIBLY kind throughout the planning process as well as that night. I can't thank him enough for his patience in answering my million questions that I called about, as well as helping me set up for the party. The party was a smashing hit and everyone had the best time. The night was SO so special and it wouldn't have been possible without James and our kickass waitress (I unfortunately cannot remember her name! but she was great). It was his favorite birthday he has ever had, and a memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Planning an event in nyc is such a pain sometimes (people can be so unkind and difficult!), but the Galway hooker team made it so easy and stress free. I will definitely be doing all future events like this at the Galway Hooker!!

We happen to run into this bar as we were trying to scape the crowds of the pride parade it was hot out & we wanted drinks. The place was jammed pack but still had some wiggle room to move about we stayed at the bar below, drinks had some Summer ale beer nice & cold ... after a few of these we needed something to pick on & got an order of the Mozzarella sticks not sure how nice I was but these were great!! Big mozz sticks were good nice & cheesy, great when dipped in the sauce totally hit the spot. The bar itself is pretty big with 2 levels each was as crowded as the next. The place was pretty busy but service was good considering how busy & crowded it was, prices are not bad. Good music playing, we enjoyed our time here the vibe was fun.

Service was terrible and slow. they have a grade C which is telling. Risky... I wouldn't go back. Waited almost 30 minutes for a drink.

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with champagne, which immediately set the tone for a special evening. Our server, Daniel, was beyond amazing. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our anniversary meaningful. It never felt forced just thoughtful, polished hospitality. The team went above and beyond when we brought our wedding cake (which had been frozen for a year). Not only did they accommodate it without hesitation, they helped decorate and present it beautifully you would have thought it had been baked that same day. It was such a touching moment for us, and they handled it with care and enthusiasm. As for the food: incredible. The steak tartare was perfectly balanced and beautifully prepared. The tuna was fresh and vibrant. And the Beef Wellington... honestly one of the best I've had in New York City. Perfectly cooked, rich, elegant, and absolutely worthy of a celebration dinner. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: romantic, warm, refined but relaxed. It felt special without being stiff. If you're looking for a place to celebrate something meaningful, this is it. We will absolutely return.

We started with the steak tartare with Melba toast and caviar. For entrees we had the creamy cavatelli with maitake and squash. Server was a sweetheart, really relaxed and didn't seem stressed or overworked, she was able to talk and not sprint around the restaurant. Food was delicious, didn't LOVE the broccoli-avocado appetizer, it felt bland but it was still a nice refreshing starter. Ordered the truffle gnocchi, AMAZING! So cheesy but not overwhelming. My mom ordered the beet salad. Not usually a fan of beets but I really loved the sauce (balsamic) and it was actually very good. I ordered all 3 mocktails and didn't have a complaint about any. Not overly sweet but not "dirty". Bathrooms are down a few hallways, not too hard to find tho. Overall, loved it. Definitely felt more like a bar than a restaurant.

From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the décor and ambiance. Every corner has been thoughtfully designed with incredible attention to detail, creating one of the most unique and immersive bar experiences I've ever had. The level of intention behind the design is truly second to none. The cocktails were outstanding-creative, beautifully balanced, and expertly crafted. Every drink felt purposeful and showcased real talent behind the bar. Despite the venue being absolutely packed, the service remained warm, personal, and genuinely attentive. Bartender Juan was exceptional, and manager Andrii led by example with true hospitality. I initially had a seat that wasn't ideal, and without me saying a single word, they noticed. As soon as a better seat became available, they proactively offered to move me. That simple gesture spoke volumes about their awareness and commitment to guest experience. It's easy to deliver great service when a room is half empty. It's much harder when every seat is full, and that's exactly when this team shined the brightest. Bravo to the entire Oscar Wilde Bar team, especially Juan and Andrii. Experiences like this remind me why genuine hospitality is an art. I can't wait to return.

Unfortunately, our server only heard that 5 of us wanted afternoon tea, and one of the tiers of food was smaller than the others. We also had to pay extra for additional tea, which we were fine with, but service was severely lacking throughout. Our server didn't check up on us, and seemed to want us to leave quickly after dropping off the check. We would have been happy to pay the $65 each for afternoon tea, but it wasn't worth it and frankly, I was agitated by the whole ordeal by the time I left. We were also disappointed by the food items (as they were lacking) and nothing about this was like other experiences we had with other afternoon teas. I can't in good faith recommend this place, nor do I see myself coming back after the atrocious service we experienced.
