All the food looked picture perfect, and we all had nothing but good things to say about our meals. Our server was honestly a breath of fresh air. Two of those and I was feeling fine. For lunch I ordered the Steak Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The salad was substantial and tasty. Yes, it's a bit noisy, depending what game is on the television, and it was after all a Friday night. However, with a booth, a "few" wee pints (I walked here, while Jim took public transit), and some pretty good pub grub, our time together flowed easily, and perhaps too quickly. The wait guy, was pretty cool too, and took my joking California requests for organic food with sprouts in great sarcastic stride. This pub is not fine dining (which is available close by), but it sure is a great place for friends to reconnect. Next time, I'll try on one of those hats.

There's a good chance you will need to wait for a table but if it's a nice enough day, even in the middle of winter, you can usually find a spot on the patio.

The salad was underdressed, and the Arancini, while hot, lacked the tomato sauce that would have elevated the dish. Minor issues, but we moved on. Unfortunately, the main course experience was disappointing. After waiting 45 minutes, our entrees finally arrived--at room temperature. At that point, we were too hungry to send them back and wait another 20 minutes. When we shared our concerns, the staff initially offered complimentary desserts, which felt inadequate given the circumstances. After further discussion, they comped both entrees and provided a $25 gift certificate, which was a fair gesture and appreciated. The GM and Bobby personally apologized and invited us to ask about "little surprises" in the wine cellar next time, which was a nice touch. Overall, great wine and recovery effort, but the kitchen timing and food temperature need serious improvement. Hoping for a better experience next time because the potential is there.
