We had the absolute best experience working with Gallery Home Design. We waited 13 years to remodel our kitchen and we had high hopes for a creative vision. We got quotes from two well-known kitchen designers in the area, and at a friend's recommendation, we reached out to Gallery Home Design. I am so incredibly thankful for that recommendation because GHD truly transformed our home. Listening George, with Gallery Home Design, visited our home and took note of our style and color schemes. We explained our lifestyle and showed him our vision board. He listened and observed how our kitchen operated and heard all our pleas for a functional kitchen. His vision was creative and functional, not to mention beautiful! The other two designers replicated the exact same design that I hated (and requested to be changed)!! Instead of listening, they put in "other" touches that were never part of our wish list. Additionally, their quotes were comparable to George's and his out-of-the box creativity. Later in the process we called on George for suggestions on the colors and locations for electric work. He always had a thoughtful explanation that helped us process what could work and what couldn't work in our design. George prepared us for the difference in our kitchen transformation and he was exactly right! Project Management George is a meticulous project manager. He works with a great GC who produces quality work. George visited the house several times per week to ensure things were going well. When he wasn't satisfied with the installation of the flooring - HE arranged to meet with the flooring company and brought on a new crew for installation. If we had worked with the competitors, we wouldn't have received this personal touch. With the other designers they design the kitchen and pass it off to their project management team. We needed that personal touch and we always felt George had our best interest. Because he is meticulous and thoughtful, I always trusted his opinion. George set the expectations for the delivery and installation and he worked hard to meet the project deadline. Meeting a deadline with so many delays in shipments is a rarity. Design George's design was fantastic - functional and beautiful. I had a last-minute change on the countertop and George took it all in stride. He walked us through each design element. He prepared us with pictures. And nothing went astray in the installation. His design was perfectly executed. My experience working with George at Gallery Home Design was very positive. I usually know exactly what I want and prefer to pick things out on my own so I wasn't sure at first how it was going to work but, I was pleasantly surprised. I let him know right up front that I wanted my remodel to have a coastal theme. We started by choosing flooring and granite. George was really fast to pick up on my likes and dislikes. He honed in on things like specific colors, warm vs a cold feeling, contrast, a lot of grain vs very little or none. That really helped with the process because he knew what he had in his showroom and could go grab various different colors, materials etc. I rarely ever wandered around to browse after the first meeting because George could pull out a good selection of materials for me to choose from. He had some really good ideas yet didn't pressure me one way or the other. I had previously worked very briefly with someone who tried to tell me how he was going to remodel my house. He didn't want to listen to me and try to figure out how to make certain things happen. That experience was immediately prior to meeting George so it was quite the contrast. My project included my entire 2nd floor, repainting my living room and entryway downstairs and replacing the wood on my stairway. So it was sizeable. The orders were placed to allow for lead time. As with everything else, Covid has created a backlog on inventory. My contractor wanted to have all materials on site prior to starting the project. On delivery days when pallets were brought to my home Pam, George's wife, would come to meet the delivery guys. She made sure that the deliveries were complete and that everything arrived in good condition. The project went smoothly. George and my contractor worked well together. At some point in the future I'd like to remodel my kitchen and half bath downstairs. I will absolutely contact George and my contractor to handle that project also. We own a 2,200 sq ft. manufactured home we purchased in 2018. The layout wasn't right for us and needed updating. Our permanent residence is in the Midwest so we were looking for a solution during our limited visits to Escondido. We found that solution when we met George Brown, owner of Gallery Home Design. He was easy to work with, and within days of our first meeting, was coming up with preliminary designs of how to remodel the house. We returned home as he continued to work with us by phone, email and with computer workups refining the design. Ove the next few months, he developed a very detailed design and plan, a budget, and a contract. George and his construction team renovated the house into a beautiful home. The project was on time with only minimal changes (due to supply chain issues) and at the quoted price. George incorporated our ideas and objectives into the final design, and ensured the entire plan came together. This project was designed and delivered during Covid and the resulting supply chain issues. George addressed any issue, even coming over on the weekends to ensure any issues were resolved to our complete satisfaction. George helped me with both a kitchen remodel/upgrade and a complete bathroom overhaul. George listens to you to determine what kind of design you want, and doesn't push you to spend more than your budget allows. He knows I like to stay in the middle of the price range and shows me options in that range, rather than pushing to spend more. His showroom had every option I needed to replace flooring, back splash, counter tops, light fixtures, faucets, etc. I ended up using George's first design recommendation for the bathroom with zero changes. That is pretty amazing. He got a feel for my taste and followed through. His contractors were great to work with and were picky about all the finishing work. What makes George different is that he has both design and construction experience, so he knows and avoids the potential pitfalls. George is as detail-oriented as his contractors, and will not rest until the project is done and the customer is satisfied.
